Well I have to report on this one!

My excitement happened during Chris' set. The second song in he tells everyone to come up to the stage...I am third row dead center so I hop over two rows to get up. Now I am 6 foot 4 and stick out like a sore thumb and security came over and told me to go back, and Chris saw this and started to wave me up after the song and I pointed to security security and shook my head! So he is into his third song and stopped playing and said something like "Now hold on, this is crazy. If you can't come up here then you're gonna sit on my stage!" so I sat up on the stage for the rest of his set and it was AMAZING! I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up! But he gave me his pick that he played with and was a totally great guy!

As for Stevie's set, they handed out wrist bands to the front row only and said they werent letting anyone else up....THATS WHAT THEY THOUGHT! HA! Pretty much before Stand Back was over the stage was totally rushed and it was just amazing all together.

I got to see a few Ledgies and my regulars from Mick's so I couldnt have asked for anything more!

Oh, she played Enchanted again, also!

^ It was so surreal to see Mike up onstage! We were just making our way down to our seats, and we hear Chris talking about letting someone sit on the stage & I recognized Mike's Tshirt from across the venue (we met up right before the show.) I about died. I got a few pics of you up there, but I think they're way too dark. We'll see after I edit them.

I'll post a thorough review & pics when I get home tomorrow evening. I will tell you that we made it there in plenty of time (took 2 hours 15 minutes, we arived at the venue before 7:30pm.) It was great to see Marissa (gardenstategirlie) again, as well as Rox, Mike & Lisa from Mick's board. Nice to finally meet Gia (sp?) too. And Kirsten is an absolute sweetheart, I'm so glad we were able to hang together for the entire show! :xoxo: She didn't even correct me when I called her Kristen all night I am so sorry!)

More details tomorrow including front row thrills, the haggard old booze hag in the pit that completely ruined Landslide for everyone, Stevie tripping over a cord on stage, and the fact that Camden's a total pit. Oh. And some of the absolute best concert pics I have EVER taken. :D

so that was you sitting up on the stage during Chris' set.. pretty cool. I liked how he stopped the show - security pretty much just gave up at that point. Once Isaak told the security to let the fans come up to the stage - the rush had started. I tell ya - Philly fans are rowdy.

And skcin - I'll look forward to your pictures as I took quite a few, but only a few are worth sharing (barely making the cut). And Landslide was beautiful - especially the ending picture of her father sitting down and waving - unfortunately, I was right next to the haggard old booze. I mean, do people really think Stevie wants to hear them shouting while she sings one of her songs- talk about no respect to the artist.. but Stevie - amazing vocals and version of Landslide - can't wait to hear it again...

A few highlights for me -

The ending of How Still My Love - Stevie slowly walks towards the back of the stage, removing her shawl and twirling it around her head over and over again and she disappears into the blackness.. HSML is amazing and was one of the many highlights.. I hope it's in the set to stay..

And I love love love the opening 1 2 3 punch of Stand Back, Dreams, and If Anyone Falls in Love - I think everyone at the venue stood from the start - and I did love the stage rush from the start - it gave the concert such a great feel..as if Stevie's presence wasn't enough.. and a great crowd!!!!!! I love going to Philly to see Stevie..

Also, being so close to Stevie where you could see the blond hairs standing on her arms.. she is truly a beautiful spirit. She had long dangling earrings and red finger nails.. I saw her this close 21 years ago at Daytona Beach during RAL.. and she looks so much better now than she did then. I was so happy forher. I love this woman more than ever.. the short and familiar setlist didn't bother me one bit.. the experience of seeing her facial expressions - I did see something in her "eyes" during Enchanted (which I love - I'm a Wild Heart junkie..)

And Waddy - of course Stevie gets most of the attention and I think we eye contacted twice - but Waddy and I shared many looks as I was singing it to him. He had a large hoop earing which I thought was cool.. he was also totally digging these 2 females that were standing right in front of him.. He is great on stage.. I tell you, being so close to the band is the only way to go. I will never go back...

I did touch her black glove - but the Edge greeting is a little intense.. the closer Stevie got to where I was, the worse the pushing from the back became.. it was a bit uncomfortable. I was relieved when she moved on down the line and the pushing eased up.. but I did touch the glove.. :-)

Also, it was good to see and stand next to blackcat, and to see Torri and Laura. What a night!!! I'll try and post a few of the pics that I took that are ok.. I don't know why I can't take decent pictures.. oh well.. we did have a time!!!

p.s. Sharon does smile!!! :-)

Nope, no Fall From Grace. I'm glad I went, because hey, I love Stevie, but I didn't really feel the energy from her last night. I've seen shows where she's beaming and at this one it seemed like Waddy had to really coaxe a smile out of her.

very solid show -- very solid vocals. i was pleased. i got a little teary-eyed at the photographs of stevie and her father playing during landslide -- it was a very beautiful montage. did anyone else notice lori left the stage during this? speaking of lori and the girls, i'm still totally in love with the if anyone falls acapella vocals. chills! love it.

apart from that, funny story -- some woman dressed in stevie garb and her boyfriend/husband were fighting outside. she stormed off in a huff and shouted to him "you're worse than lindsey buckingham!"

pure comedy at the tweeter.

paula, mike, kristen -- great to see/meet you guys! i'm pretty sure i met some other folks as well (blackcat -- were you asking ray koob to mention waddy on-air?) but i didn't really broadcast the fact that i post here unlike, "WHERE MY LEDGIES AT?!?" (paula  )

Great Camden pics on your site - thanks for posting and thanks to the photograper for sharing. My pics, for the most part, sucked so it was nice to see some photos of Camden.

anyways, I did love the show last night but I definitely think a strong rocker (either FFG or even WLT) would have been perfect between HSML and Edge..
Stand Back would have been another good choice, but I did like it as an opener.

I'm wondering if time constraints are an issue - the concert didn't end until after 11 p.m. (Isaak's set is at least a good hour - and it was good) and most venues do have curfews. I'll guess we will know when she goes solo sans Isaak.

Camden is a total God Damn pit. Parking was fifteen bucks and I was parked not far from the front of the lot, near the RiverLine tracks. Locked the car and enjoyed the show. Came out and noticed that my CUP HOLDER was gone. Someone opened the hatch to my van, climbed over all the seats and stole.........
a cup holder.

WTFH?

The cops directing traffic were like "huh?". Apparently 30-100 cars a night are broken into, at concerts and Riversharks games. Ok, so if you know that Officer, why are you not patrolling these supposedly secure, expensive lots? They also told me that quite often people come out to find their windows smashed, so I am sort of glad the hubby left the hatch unlocked in my car. (we rarely use it and it is always locked...I rarely lock my car doors around town but I made a specific point to do it in Ghetto Camden)
My radio with cd player was fine, my new expensive sunglasses were fine, my Starbucks Passion tea with Melon was placed neatly on the floor and my cup holder was removed from the console. It did have a bunch of pennies, nickles and dimes but overall, it was quite a bizarre thing to steal. All my burned cds got taken as well but luckily I had all my good cds in the visor. So the drug addict, low life who stole the cd box will have endless Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Fleetwood Mac demos and boots to listen to. I am sure they are thrilled!

I think I know where the Camden police were. As we were waiting in line to catch the ferry back to Philly, four cops were chasing after one guy selling t-shirts outside the venue.. forgot about the cars in the parking lot who paid a $$$fee for what they thought was secure parking.. gotta get the guy selling cheap tees...

anyways..

my not very good pictures from Camden - a lot of Waddy (the majority of my Stevie pics were blurry..a photographer I'm not). If you want to see really nice shots of Camden, check out Daniels site.. very, very nice.

That sucks. I took to only taking burned CD's with me in the car after my CD case was stolen from my unlocked car - in my driveway in broad daylight no less! I'm sure they had a hell of a time listening to such things as the 25th take of Edge of Seventeen, City Of Hope, Lily Girl, Dial The Number and the rest of my eclectic mixes of Stevie demos. I did have some of my bought CD's in there though.

That is definately a source of comfort for me....the idea of this person pulling out one of my cds, putting it in, and the sweet sound of "Goldfish and the Ladybug" blasting from their boom box.

Thanks for posting the pics from Camden, very nice. It helps to see what she looks like up close for those of us who didn't get to see her that close.

I will not go to the Tweeter Center in Camden ever again. I just don't feel safe at the venue. I went there once with my husband when Stevie was there & just didn't feel safe. I'm glad that I went to The Bogarta to see her especially since reading about the cars getting broken into. :sorry:

When I saw that they were charging $15 for parking, I came to two conclusions- 1) I will never see another show in Camden again. Ever. 2) This is the first horse of the apocalypse. ; you know society is in dire straits when it costs $15 to park in Camden. Maybe if the spot was just right outside of the venue... but this was at least a half mile away. Ultimately I found a street parking space just outside of one of the paid lots and took my chances, even though my car was stuffed with about $1000 worth of closet fittings and hardware from my last trip to Ikea. I figured that if someone needed to break into my car to steal a $15 Stolmen pants hanging rack, they probably needed it much more than I.

I did quickly glance at those bootleg Stevie T-shirts. Blecch~! Made Chris Nicks look like da Vinci by comparison. I just can't believe somebody out there is bootlegging merchandise for a one-month tour that is not drawing huge crowds.

^ We ended up in that lot too, mainly because we didn't know where the hell we were going & couldn't easily get out of the traffic we were stuck int he middle of. So we went with the flow & paid the $15. Whatever. The venue itself is very nice, but the parking is ridiculous - even crappy Darien Lake out there doesn't charge for parking.

I'll try to post one of my patented long winded reviews in a separate thread in a bit ;) , but since Mike started this thread, I wanted to post the quick vid clip I got of him sitting on stage during Chris Isaak's performance. Of course, Youtube lists it as "coming soon" even though I uploaded it last night. :( Sorry, I promise it'll be up eventually.

I have a couple more with you and Gia in them. I can send them to you or post them here, if it is ok with her. I forwarded them all to Ash to send to her as well. There are a few cute ones and I got Waddy right after he handed her the pick. Sadly there was a giant, drunk man standing in between. I asked him very nicely if I could take a picture when Stevie shook Gia's hand during the Edge walk. I was right there and I had the perfect spot for a good photo. He said "sure, of course". When the time came, he shoved his girlfriend right in front of me, up to the stage to get a handshake. Stevie went on by and he looked at me and said "sorry! :sorry: I promised her I would get her a handshake!".

What goes around, goes around, goes around.......:distress:
