and I am truly upset. I got tickets for her show in Philly in August. :distress: This was going to be the very first time I would get to see her live, & I was so looking forward to it. I'm just not understanding what is going on with her.

Seems like her world is a little chaotic right now. Hopefully everything will work out and she can get back to pleasing her fans in a timely manner.

omg, that pisses me off.

her tour was the #5 top selling tour for the summer...so, I don't get it.

I got an advanced copy of her new cd and well, let's just say, it was no Breakaway. I deleted it after I listened to it a couple times. :distress:

I heard about the new album like once and then never heard anything else about it. I wonder how her sales are doing. I remember hearing how some people didn't like it. This is sorta like "Tusk", in comparison to Fleetwood Mac. Maybe she was upset with the sales?

Didn't Breakaway have like 5 singles?

Comparing Tusk to any Kelly Clarkson album is a bit like comparing a Van Gogh to a preschooler's coloring book.

It sucks that things are going so bad for her right now before her album even comes out. It's like they are dooming it all before it even happens.. What to SEE if it's a flop before you call it one I say!

I heard the album too... The first single (Never Again) was/is the only track I liked... Major let down... I really liked Breakaway and what she did with that album and was hoping she would have stayed within that.

I heard Clive Davis her record company head offered her 10 million to replace 5 of the songs on the album for others... She refused.

I agree totally. just would add that I actually like Sober. the rest are all angsty, I'm a bitter little girl in a woman's body type songs...there aren't any that showcase her vocal skills and after listening to it, I feel depressed instead of empowered the way Breakaway was able to do.

nothing against Kelly Clarkson, but I never bought any of her music until I heard "Never Again" - I went directly to Itunes and downloaded it. Then I heard a leak of "Sober" and pre-purchased "My December" and was going to make sure I saw her in August when she came through D.C. I haven't heard the rest of "My December" but will purchase it on Itunes on June 26.. I like the rawness... anger....of the 2 songs I've heard.. " 3 months and I'm still sober.." I can't imagine..

Personally, I'm glad she didn't redo her album. Turning down $10 million means the woman believes in her music.. and her art. I'll be there, for the first time, for Kelly Clarkson, on June 26 for "My December."

Other than Cyndi's sad face, she looks good!
