Anyway, make some room for me in the pit... I'll be standing right behind yous!

Paula, I'm betting your annoying friend will be spellbound by the Enchantress - well, at least enough to stfu so you can properly enjoy the show! :xoxo:

Good Christ. Just talked to her & her car's in the shop (the one with GPS) so I'll have to drive. Neither one of us is familiar with the area AND all directions are telling me to take the Ben Franklin bridge. I've heard the traffic on that thing is an absolute nightmare - anyone know of an alternate route from York/Harrisburg PA, or coming from Philly? :(
We won't be able to leave any earlier than 5pm, and it will likely be closer to 5:30. That gives us about 4 hours until mama takes the stage, and Mapquest estimates a 2 hour drive - without traffic. I'm worried, you guys.

The Ben Franklin is your best bet..it will drop you off right near the venue. It may be congested but it is not a nightmare. I work in Philly and sometimes I take the train, but I often drive. Its just rush hour ...more cars but it moves. Unless there is a wreck on the bridge, which happens once every six months or so, at rush hour. You will be fine.

Paula......if you do take the Ben Franklin, make sure you stay all the way on the right coming over the bridge. The turnoff that will take you to the venue is right after you pass the tolls...(the toll is going the other way into Philly but you will pass them coming into Jersey..you just dont have to pay that way) If your directions do not say to turn off after you get over the bridge, they are probably taking you in another way. I speed so I would be all the way on the left, so I wanted to warn you that the turnoff comes up quickly as you are exiting the bridge. :o There are signs all over down there for the Waterfront/Aquarium......so once you are in Camden, you should be fine.
Congrats on the front row. It always pays to wait.

OK< I feel a bit better now. What about the ferry? Good option - y/n?

Also - cameras OK or not?

Cameras were fine at the last FM show. Tiff took that shot of the Landslide pinky hold there. Just hide it in your purse as I think they look in your bag when you come in.
The Ferry is an option. Just make sure it will be running when the show is over. I am not sure of the night schedule. It is Friday and there is a Riversharks game down there tomorrow night, so it should be running. The baseball field is on the Waterfront as well. The bridge should be ok but there will be traffic...it moves though as there is no stopping for tolls going into Jersey.

^Good to know, thanks. According to the website, the ferry starts running 2 hours before concerts & stops 1/2 hour after the show is over. I've printed out directions directly to the venue as well as to the ferry, so we should be OK. I hope. :o

I think you're better off just driving across the Ben Franklin. For one thing, the parking at Penns Landing is pricey and far away from the ferry dock. Then there is also usually a long line on concert nights. Don't get me wrong- it's a lovely way to get there, but probably not the quickest.
Not to worry you, but you're probably going to be fighting the beach traffic; the AC expressway is right off of the Ben Franklin. So hit the road as early as you can!
How fantastic to get front row - hope you all have a brilliant time, i'll be thinking about you and wishing I was there:) :)

Oh, I'm already worried. You're not the first one to warn me about the massive influx of people from PA into NJ for the weekend. Here's hoping!

She can turn off as soon as she gets over the bridge, to get to the venue, so that traffic along 676, down to the AC Expressway shouldn't be a problem for her. The Walt Whitman is a bitch on Friday Nights. One of the lawyers at my firm has a shore house, he always uses the Walt to get to the Expressway. I think alot of people prefer that bridge. The BF might be congested but I come home about three nights a week at 5:30, via the Ben, and I don't usually have anything more than rush hour congestion. Actually going into Philly in the morning is usually much worse. :( I wouldn't recommend the ferry either...parking is a pain and expensive in Philly, I don't trust the Ferry schedule and with the RiverSharks game, the ferry might take much longer than just driving over.
She could also take the speedline over and I would do that before the Ferry but since she is unfamiliar with the area, I would car it.

I'm so nervous about getting there. I plan on taking the Walt Whitman. The directions from the Tweeter website say there is 3 different exits I can take to get there..I dont want to get lost in Camden:distress:

i promise -- you will not get lost in camden. there are a boatload of signs pointing you in the right direction -- and there is usually one that says what exit to use the night of the concert [it will be one of those moveable signs on the side of the road]. it's very direct

Front row, Front row...yea. Good things happening to good Ledgies!!!! Reading this thread is making me all nervous for you Paula. :o I don't even live there, but I'd say drive since then you have some control, and just take your time. Stay relaxed, everything will pan out. Great advice from a woman who couldn't do any of that herself if life depended on it!!! :p Take some pics!!! And hey....why dontcha come to Ca. again soon???? xo

Congratulations to everyone who got those great seats! What time of day did you check ticketmaster for the seats? I am thinking about going to Mohegan Sun, but right now only section 111 is coming up. I don't have to go to another show, but Stevie is sounding so great that I figure if I can get good seats, why not?

^ I checked TM pretty much every day starting 2 weeks prior to the show. Better seats (5th - 10th row) started popping up about 5 days before the show. Finally, 2 days before the show, 3rd row pit come up. I was going to buy them, but I was at work & my boss walked in. :o Turned out to be a great thing, because just before 5pm the day before the show, several front row tix came up & I was able to snag a pair.
