The concert was great, the energy of the croud was really fueling her last night. They wouldn't let anyone near the stage until the intro to Edge of Seventeen, which is when I ran up there- right in front of her! :D I took these pictures with binoculars that also act as a digital camera, so they aren't the best quality; but hey, at least it's something :)

Now for the short outro of Gold Dust Woman! The quality is not that good as I aimed it at the video monitor... But anyways.. Here it is.

Looks like a toucan bird. Blue because of the lighting.
And yes, must be a wonderful feeling having strangers/fans give you stuff. :D

They were still selling tickets when I walked in.. However, I didn't see many free seats

I was in section 201 row M, which was on the far right side of the stage.. However, most of these pix were taken when I went towards the front because I couldn't get any real good ones from where the seats were.

It was a Tucan and it was blue! A little girl was sitting on top of her dad and gave Stevie that and a red bear. There were quite a few flowers on stage, as well.

I'll try to get the video up shortly, but I'm currently working on my car so I just popped in here for a few seconds..

Wow, she looks really good...hair looks healthy and she appears to be thinner than she was when she did that morning TV thing a bit ago. She is really enjoying herself. You go Stevie!!!! thx for posting!

When did you end up moving to the front?

Yeah, but just to take pix. All the seats were taken at the front, so I would go up the center isle and stand there for a few minutes to get some pictures, then return to my seat. I would have had there been open seats ;)

Thanks for the pictures, Ian...it was an interesting show...security was nowhere to be found at the start of the show...and Stevie fans...well :) ...we surged...it took until Rhiannon for them to clear the area ;) ...lol!...totally unexpected...when the time came for Edge...the security guy stood there, smiled at me and then pointedly looked the other way...as I went through, he halfheartedly tried to 'block' me...yes, very strange...Stevie sounded really good...lots of wailing going on...we got there late...Chris was already singing but the tickets gods favored us with 8th row seats...my buddy, Deb, who has only attended FM shows with me, had her first Stevie handshake...yep, the magic remains...looking forward to seeing your video, Ian...I got lucky, too :)

I thought security sucked at this show. It was bull**** in my opinion. I paid for premium seats from Live Nation and was in the fourth row and had to deal with jerks who came down and clogged up the aisle next to me all night, waving their cameras in my line of view. Security finally got some balls and sent people back to their seats but as soon as they walked away, the same people kept coming back. And most of the people at the stage were jerks, pushing and shoving and bragging about how they made it from 12th row. Great, and then pushed me so hard I could barely stand up. In my opinion, only those in the first 4 or 5 rows should be allowed up. Security was great in Detroit. Much more in control and no chaos.

That aside, the show was great, as usual.

I totally agree about the first few rows being allowed up there. It is utter chaos and I hate being shoved and pushed against the stage. I had a drink spilled on me at the last Lindsey show in Philly when some drunken floozy pushed her way up to try to play Lindsey's guitar. One of my pet peeves is paying out the nose for great seats and having someone from like the 21st row try to get in front of me. EVERYONE wants to shake her hand during Edge and people get so aggressive. I just hate how some fans act all entitled. "But, but, it's my first show and I just ADORE her and I realllly want to hand her this bouquet....".
Cool, so buy tickets in the first five shows and you should have no problem doing that!
