So, what is it that is your current read?
Right now I am reading The Ghost By Danielle Steel. It is actually very good. Plus, the title jumped out to me, and the cover, however simple, is very attractive (silver and gold). It's about this architect whose wife leaves him for another man, and he moves back to the states to rejoin the firm he used to work for. After not quite fitting in he goes on a road trip to the northeast and finds this little town and finds a nice Bed and Breakfast type place where he meets this elderly woman. The two hit it off instantly and he ends up renting a chateau she owns........
That's all I'll say because I wouldn't want to give anything away, but it is a very good book and I am about two thirds finished. I would highly reccommend it, especially if you are a fan of Steel.
What is your current read?
Much Love,

Not a damn thing and I'm disappointed. I'll probably end up reading Al Gore's book after I make my next visit to Barnes & Noble.

I just don't seem to be in the mood for reading at the moment. I am half way through reading 'Cagney and Lacey... and Me' by Barney Rosenzweig

Love that book. I don't know why so many people say they hate it. Very unique idea, and I especially enjoyed the ending.
I'm not reading anything right now. Anymore, as soon as I get the time to sit down and start reading, I start falling asleep almost immediately.

I just finished Soon I Will Be Invincible by Austin Grossman (for the second time). I highly recommend it.
I am now picking up Fellow Travelers, by an author whose name escapes me just now.

Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
I am really loving it. The author spends a year living in Italy, India, and Indonesia in search of pleasure, spirituality, and the integration of both. There have been two Stevie references so far. For example, the author's sister describes her personal style as "Stevie Nicks goes to yoga class."

I just finished Dry by Augustin Burroughs, who I really adore right now.
I'm deciding between starting a Walter Mosely book (Devil With a Blue Dress) or a David Sedaris book.

I'm on a John Irving kick. I read A Prayer of Owen Meany (loved it), A Widow for a Year (liked it) and now I'm reading Cider House Rules (just started, but it looks promising).
I love summer because I can read whatever I want without worrying about papers and school!

I got that book free at work a couple of years ago and have yet to read it - but have heard great things about it- perhaps I'll actually get around to reading it next...
As of now I'm reading two books:
1) The Hundred Secret Senses - Amy Tan
2) The Planets - Dava Sobel

I vote for David Sedaris. I love him. Funny, wise, and depressing, all at the same time.

Yes, for sure add it to your list. So far it's making me really really REALLY want to go to Italy. I'm wondering if the India/Indonesia sections will have the same effect on me.

The Hotel New Hampshire soured me on John Irving. Maybe I need to try some others, but I couldn't finish this one because it upset me that so many people kept getting killed off. And I did like it up to a certain point. "Overkill" in the truest sense of the word.

I haven't read that one- maybe I shouldn't! That would upset me too.
I highly recommend A Prayer for Owen Meany, though. Excellent book. A Widow For a Year was a bit odd, but also well written and interesting.

A book club is when everyone in it reads the same book and then discusses it. Somehow I'm thinking you may have a hard time finding enough people to read Danielle Steel here.

I've taken to rereading the whole Harry Potter series before book 7 comes out next month. I've only read up to book 3 before and borrowed 4-6 before one of my school buddies left for a summer research program. Currently in the middle of book 2.
Seeing as I'm dyslexic, a slow reader, and can only sit still for about an hour, I don't know how I'm going to do it.
