Such is America, had it been a common person (aka You or I) who had to serve a sentence (Be it 45 days or 23 days) you can damn well be sure we would NOT be released early....I highly doubt there would be a press conference either if you or I were released!
But when you are a celebrity (How Paris is considered "famous" is beyond me, Has she cured cancer? Has she cured AIDS? Has she contributed to society in a POSITIVE manner other than being a egotistical attention getting whore?) you can do no wrong and suffer no consequences, so how the hell can a celeb learn a lesson then?
F**k her...simple life and all
Brian "I think ALL celebs should have to be put into the line of fire that the US military troops suffer daily in 'the war on terror'....If the celeb gets killed, I could care less for 'em" j.

i guess she was released on house arrest to serve 40 days because of an undisclosed medical condition~ she is not allowed to attend celebrity functions or parties...~ they say she is to stay at her POSH home & not go anywhere~

Let's see...her lawyer said she was spending her time in jail trying to figure out "how to make the world a better place". Must have only taken her 3 days to come up with the solution. I can't wait to hear what it is

I love that people are actually surprised at this. You didn't think she'd serve her full sentence, did you? I'm shocked she made it three days, tbh.

Such a shame that celebrities and those who have the money and fame can get out of anything in this country:mad:
The really sad thing is............Paris will never truely understand that she committed a crime and should serve her full sentence. Bigger shame that her parents (mother) didn't teach her any valuable lessons about becoming a responsible citizen or adult.

Oh, wow. What a shocker. I can hardly believe it. Psyche.
I can't really say that I'm affected by whether or not her ass stays in jail. I could not give two flips less.

One thing that Babs said on the View -- was that to her (Babs's knowledge) Paris did NOt have a high school education or diploma.... nor a GED...
Was it a Ledgie who said Paris was busy "studying up" on self-defense because she was headed to the slammer??? (and her family was afraid for her safety?) That's very laughable...

I'm not saying education is a waste, but uh, if I had a guaranteed 300 million and knew I could make more by doing nothing but parading around like a clown, I wouldn't go to school either.
I'd be on vacation.. all the time.

Omg- I would feel better if the bitch just bought her way out of jail rather than say she had a nervous breakdown. She is truly a waste of a human being.

The breakdown was probably because none of the other "lovely ladies" hit on her. Her ego was dashed.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Paris Hilton was let out of jail Thursday morning, just three days after she began serving what was originally to have been a 45-day sentence for violating probation, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said at a press conference.
Hilton must wear a monitoring bracelet and remain at her home for another 40 days, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.
Medical considerations "played a part" in the decision to offer Hilton home confinement for the remainder of her sentence, Whitmore said. He said privacy rules prohibited him from giving details about the medical issues, but celebrity Web site TMZ.com earlier quoted sources saying Hilton was refusing to eat much of the jail food served her.
Whitmore said that after "extensive consultation with medical personnel" it was decided to offer Hilton "reassignment" to home confinement, which she and her lawyers accepted. Part of the deal was that her original sentence of 45 days, which had been reduced to 23 days if she showed good behavior behind bars, would be restored to the full length. Although she reported to the jail just before midnight Sunday and departed in the early hours of Thursday, she has been given credit for a five days, he said.
Whitmore said the decision to send Hilton home was made by a panel of officials in the sheriff's department, although the judge who sentenced her was advised of it.
Hilton was arrested on charges of drunken driving in September.
In January, she pleaded no contest to a charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years' probation and had her license suspended.
In February, she was caught driving on a suspended license, a crime later ruled a probation violation.
Hilton entered jail just after attending the MTV Movie Awards, where she answered questions from the press and was the subject of host Sarah Silverman's jokes.

Hearing could send Hilton back to jail
Los Angeles city attorney claims ankle bracelet violated judge's order
MSNBC staff and news service reports
Paris Hilton shouldn't breathe too freely or celebrate too much just yet. A court spokesman says the heiress has been ordered to appear in court Friday for a hearing on whether she should be returned to jail.
Hilton was released from jail Thursday morning after just serving just a few days of her 45-day sentence for violating probation.
TMZ.com reports that City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo requested the hearing, scheduled for 9 a.m. Pacific Time Friday, to investigate further. The Web site reports that Delgadillo is demanding that the Sheriff’s Department show why it should not be held in contempt of court for “violating Judge (Michael) Sauer’s May 4, 2007 order, which expressly stated 'no electronic monitoring'.”

What the Hell >.<
Paris Hilton is just a spoiled little brat. She thinks just because she has money, and she is 'hot' [shes not pretty AT ALL imo], she can get away with murder basically. [Yeah just a DUI, but what is next?]
I think she should have to go back to jail, and serve her term like a responsible adult, which she probably never will be, but she should start trying.
um hello Paris, you're not going to be 25 forever, and you certainly can't act like one forever
I think any girl my age who emmulates her has mental problems. Who wants to be an anorexic, drunk, slutbag???
