Here's Moby. I took these 3 consecutive shots in color, edited each one in Photoshop to create B&W and other little tweaks, then turned it into a huge desktop, which has been sized to be small here. Enjoy the monster.

CHANCE (short for Second Chance -- we rescued him from the executioner's block). He's a Jack Russell Terrier and had been through 2 families...
We love him.
If we drop something on the floor, his reflexes are much faster than ours. He takes off for the next county....it's a bitch trying to chase him... He eventually stops, because if he didn't, we'd never catch him.

I had a jack russell once. We totally could not keep up. He lives on a 25+ acre farm now.. chases horses and other animals all day.

Hey Gretch'
Your dogs look so obedient...with all those Christmas presents in the background...how did you do it?
Chance (the Jack Russell) goes on search & destroy missions...we had to buy a baby's playpen and put the presents in there...but in his defense....we did only have him a couple of months before Christmas hit...
Like you...I love all the Doggie pics...!!! We live on 9 acres and it's fenced....

Bruno, Sweetie & Pepper are Angels around the presents, until we give the OK for Bulldozer Boy Bruno to reduce the trash after presents are opened by 1/3. He turns all the paper and boxes into cole slaw. :D

We found a dalmatian a couple of years ago and kept him for the day or so it took to find his owner. This was the smartest dog I'd ever seen in my life! It may have been how he was raised, but it was amazing.

aww glad you were able to find the owner....People don't realize how smart dals are...they have a bad rep for being hyper...but its really not the case..they do get bored easily ..the 2 I have now..(had another who went to rainbow bridge few years ago) love it when I work with them.I swear they are spotted human kids..the female has to take meds twice everyday..if I forget when its time..she reminds me..she will stand at counter where i keep it and bark at me..and literally nag me until I give it to her..Both are enrolled in a pet therapy program ..the male lovessssssssssssss kids so I am hoping we can visit sick children in hospitals..

AGH! Nickay...your 1st dawgie..OMG, she looks like my babeh. haha. Mine is a somewhat new rescue. They tell me she is MinPin/Chi. I wanna call her breed a Pinsche...but I think that is a bad word somewhere.
Her name is Banshee, and she is the light of my life! This is a cell phone pic...but look at that face? And those ears that could take flight. daaagh...she is SO cute!
All Ledgies have cute doggies. I LOVE dogs. I prefer larger breeds but have no room for them. So to be fair....got a smaller dog. I never would have thought to get either a MP or Chi either, but lo and behold they are such good dogs. I have seen other pure MP's and OMFG, they are SO cute. Although, and don't take it wrong, so many are REALLY active. Bansh thankfully is really calm. If she is what they think she shows no usual traits of either breeds. Doesn't bark, quiver, yap, bite people nodda. She's really mellow and after her predicament, that is a shocker. Blessed indeed.

Thanks for your kind words about Rudy. He was a VERY special dog to my wife & me. She'd raised him from a puppy long before we met. I "adopted" him when we got married. (Rudy was 5 years old at that time)
And, here's our current canine roommate, Daisy...a 9 year-old, very beagle-ish beagle that we "inherited" from my mother-in-law when she wasn't able to take care of her for a while...when she healed (my mother-in-law, that is), we refused to give her back (Daisy, that is).
Here, she's giving me the "staredown" and telepathically trying to get me to give her dinner. It worked.

I hate to sound like such a dumbass, but I see these dogs and I just wanna kiss the tummies. They are all so cute and scream for belly rubs and tummy smooches. For example, RichardB...I could be in LA in about 8 hours.....gahhh, that howling pic...to die for.
It's just such a girle response to wanna kiss the tummy, but they are like lil stuffed animals. Hell, even ChiliD's dog.....the tummy........(btw, I recall you and talking bout your dog on the Leg I think...that dog is friggin gorgeous, and looks down on Daisy's behavior daily FOR SURE!!!!!!)haha. OK, I prolly sound like some sicko.

Black lab drives owner's car into river Fri Jun 22, 11:15 PM ET
SAGLE, Idaho - Bad dog. Charlie the black lab drove his owner's car into the Pend Oreille River. As Mark Ewing walked home Wednesday evening after returning from picking up a pizza, Charlie jumped into the car through an open window, and apparently knocked the vehicle into gear.
"He somehow got the car into neutral," Ewing said. "My car just went boom, down an incline and into the drink."
Ewing could only watch as his Chevy Impala sank into the river. No dummy, Charlie jumped out of the window as the car went downhill.
"There's nothing weirder than looking at your car cruising down your driveway when you're not in it and seeing your dog jump out and then watching your car go splash," Ewing said.
Actually, things got a little weirder when the tow truck driver showed up.
Before the driver dove into the water to hook the car up to his truck, he asked Ewing to hold his dentures.
"My car's in the drink, I've got dentures in my hand and this guy Keith ... goes swimming," Ewing noted.
