I don't have time to post a full review but stevie was on fire last night! The band was great, the arrangements were tight, and stevie pulled out the punches for sure.

Will post more later with pics.

If anyone else was there and cares to elaborate...feel free!

Yes, I had seats in the 7th row at Red Rocks last night--Beautiful night out with an about to be full moon! CI &SN ROCKED--Same setlists--No surprises! :wavey:

My husband & I were there also on the 7th row! It was an amazing night - couldn't have asked for better weather or a better venue. I've been wanting to see a show at Red Rocks for 6-7 years now and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Except for the hike up the hill through the brush and then up the extremely steep and seemingly neverending ramp!!

No surprises in the show. I was disappointed that it seemed she had slowed Rhiannon way down. The beautiful performance of HSML more than made up for it though. I can only hope to have that much energy at 59!

It was amazing to turn around and look back up at all the people - it was totally packed - and think that it was 21 years ago when the Red Rocks video was made and it was just as packed with a crowd that was just as 'on fire' as the one last night. Now that's staying power!!

We had hoped to be able to see her get into the limo after the show, but the security was forcing everyone to move along from the wall and leave the venue. VERY annoying.

All in all, it was SO worth the trip from SC to see her despite the non-changing setlist.

I was there! In fact, I'm still stuck in the Denver airport - trying to get home. Bad weather here, there and everywhere...

I was in the third row, on Al and Waddy's side. What can I say? The show, the venue, the moon, the stars - there was magic all around us. I got up front for the Edge walk, right on the rail. The top of Stevie's head came up to my nose! I've been fortunate to have had the Edge walk experience a number of times, but getting to do so at Red Rocks was a dream come true!

This airport internet BS is costing me a fortune, I'll post more later, and some pics.

*****Both Stevie/Eye Sack spoilers*****

I don't think they were leather - they look just like the other pants she wore for Rock and Roll - but these have sparkly/glitter from about mid-thigh all the way to the bottom. At first I thought she was wearing the Rock and Roll pants with glittery leg warmers, but then I realized the glitter was ON the pants.

Best live version of HSML I've ever heard/seen! VERY sexy at the end - she went sauntering off the stage - between Lenny and Jimmy - slooooowly twirling her shawl over her head - like the lasso move in SYW, it was HOT! And I believe it's been mentioned in earlier reviews - "My lonely......OOOOOOOONE!"

A few more highlights: I touched Chris Isaak! He went through the crowd - all the way to the top of Red Rocks!!! He came back down on our side and I grabbed his arm. Waddy came out and joined them for "I Want You to Want Me."

My flight didn't leave Denver until 10 PM last nite (was supposed to leave at 4!). By the time I got home, it was 1:45 AM and I was immediately accosted by several attorneys needing **** RIGHT NOW from the second I walked into the office this morning ...I'll post more tidbits when I get a chance - and post some pics when I get home tonight.

That should shut some people up who critisize her current versions of the songs specifically for not singing the "OOOOONE" I knew if performed it night after night she'd keep getting better and better at it

We had a quite a moment. I put my camera strap up to my elbow after I took that close-up shot - to free my hands. Stevie got to me and kinda tilted her head to one side and gave me a huge smile! She grabbed both my hands and I saw her looking at my crescent moon necklace. Then she tilted her head to the other side and gave me a look as if to say, "Wow - look at that!" I said, "Yeah, nice necklace, huh?" I don't know if she heard me or not, but she was laughing and then she leaned in and I gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek. :D

Hey Livia...I always so enjoy seeing your smiling beautiful 'Stevie high' face!...and hearing your story...I find it a bit magical (perhaps creepy?...lol) that we so often find each other...sorry I lost you later...next time?...my plane was delayed too but we got lucky...what a storm...got out at 4:20...had to giggle at that...

Saw Stevie in Albuquerque...and Red Rocks...and wow!...she is hot!...looking good...new clothes...and smiling...having fun...ok...listening back later (yes, I was successful...woohoo!)...she was a touch flat in Albuquerque but she was working it ...Red Rocks...she mentioned good asthma drugs and her voice was right on...myself, I needed some of those drugs ;) ...cough, cough...

Still sitting on the side of that venue with the other smoker outcasts waiting for Stevie to come on...with the mountains, the moon, and the rainbow...was incredible...hearing Stevie live always just brings me joy and bliss...nothing like dancing like a fool and smiling for a few hours...with 'others'...I'm so glad she's out there still doing it for us...

Thanks for the pictures, Livia...for capturing 'the hotness'...lol...see you down the road...

Hey, Hayley, are you going to Chicago?...

Well, lookie who came in out of the darkness to post. I was gonna PM you last nite. Hello, Torri, dah-ling! I know, I was still quite high from my Stevie encounter when I saw you!

Yes, the rainbow! I don't know if we saw the same one or not, but once I made the climb to the ticket checkpoint, and they were holding us until Eye Sack finished his sound check - I literally climbed a mountain and I turned around....to take in the incredible view. There was just a sliver of a rainbow on the horizon, just over the lake. I pointed it out to others in line and I would have taken a pic, but didn't want to risk security seeing that I had a camera while I was standing right next to 'em.

Magical, indeed! I'm getting a little verklempt now... :p

No.

And you shouldn't try. I was in the 6th row center at Red Rocks and I did try to get up front, but security was being really ****ty. It looked like they were even giving people in the first few rows a hard time about getting up (I suspect it may have been because handicapped seating was in the first row). Anyway, some people in front of me got into a fistfight about getting up front. I went back to my seat and figured that since security was so tight, I would let the people in the first few rows get up, if they could.

So, you really should not try to push ahead of people in the front who were either lucky enough to get the seats or who paid a lot of money for them, IMO.

On a side note, the show was great and I have some pics that I will post in the next few days. Both Chris Isaak and Stevie put on fantastic performances. There was a really cute older couple just in front of me and the woman was talking about how she had seen the Beatles at Red Rocks. Anyway, during Edge, this drunk ass beeyotch comes down from who knows where, pushing in front of people like she was entitled to be there. The older man said something to her and she got right up in his face and started cussing him out and pointing her finger in his face. She was screaming like a banshee. I don't think I've ever wanted to bitch slap someone so bad in my life.

So, aside from that, it was a great show and a fabulous place to see a show. I will go back to see a show there again.

OMG! Livia, now that definitely is something to cherish. WOW :)
You better write that down in a journal or something. :D
I wonder if this is the first time Stevie has seen a fan wear a crescent moon necklace?

I know she never would, but Stevie could easily start her own line of jewelry and/or clothing.

Stevie gives moons to certain fans so I doubt it is the first time she has ever seen one on a fan.

Did that drunk ass beeyotch make it to the front? There was a loud-mouthed drunk ass beeyotch behind us during BATB. She was screaming at the security guy, "SEE THAT PICK? I WANT THAT PICK! WADDY THREW THAT PICK FOR ME AND I WAAAAAANT IT!" Everyone was giving her looks and saying, "Sssh," but she wouldn't stfu. I told her to be please be quiet, she kept screaming and then I said, louder, "Seriously, you need to stfu, like right now!" People around me starting saying, "Yeah, shut-up!" She finally did.

Now that I'm back from this weekend's adventures, and finally unpacking, I found my notes on the Red Rocks show....

Sorcerer intro - the usual story about SN and LB living in Hollywood, and the drugs - she said, "It really freaked me out. I mean, FREAKED me out..." and then send something about it being "the good, the bad and the ugly."

Landslide - dedicated to family members who were at the show. Stevie said something about her great-grandmother living in Colorado and that she RAN from the Indians...

HSML - I'm still loving this version - with the rambling at the end..."should I say...how still...how still...myyyyyyy loooooove...should I say..."

Shortly after the Edge walk, Waddy came right up to the rail and handed someone a guitar pick - 3 people down from me. :D

I'll start a new thread about my Dallas and Houston shows.

The new pants.

Hey....I love the new pants. It's a great new look and she looks thin in them too.

BTW -- Did they try to do a slide show? In 2005 at her Red Rocks Show, they did a slide show during Landslide with photos of Stevie from a baby to the performing years...only thing....they didn't have a screen, (other than the one that showed close-ups of the concert) so they shot the slides on the rocks in the back of the stage. It made for some grotesque pictures...

We even missed the Stand Back twirls....all the reviews said she twirled in time with the video footage...again, we saw grotesque figures...

T.D.

One last thing....a local DJ was dissing Stevie's voice...he said if you want to sing like Stevie Nicks, then start singing and then hold your nose...voila' you are a Stevie impersonator....

  Early morning DJ's can be so obnoxious when they run out of things to say and then "think" they are being clever...

I was at the 2005 RR show also - and yeah, the video images on the rocks, rather than on a screen, bugged me too - made everyone look like the Elephant Man. They did the same thing this year as well...I totally get not wanting to take away from the natural beauty of the venue, but still.... I think the audience would have preferred clearer images on a screen. But it's not like everything is distorted beyond recognition - the crowd responded accordingly whenever they showed a Red Rocks clip. :)

^Well, IMO, those pants are hot. The photos don't do them justice. They are so tight, they actually look like sparkly leggings and it looks like she has on little bit longer of a shirt, which also looks like a short skirt. I think she rocked the look.

I completely agree. I NEVER thought i'd like her in pants but it really was refreshing. And I think they make her look thinner too. I figured out my camera problem and I should be able to post a few more pics.
