OK So I'm downloading 20/10/1989 Mountain View show. How do I play it in media player after I've downloaded it? If anyone could help I'd be most grateful. Hope everyone is ok.

All the best,
Chris

where are you downloading it from? dimeadozen? if so, you're probably downloading .flac files. you'll either need a small program to convert them from flac to wav files, or you'll need the winamp plugin that allows you to play them. :)

Downloading from throwndown.net using Azureus. BTW, I have no idea what FLAC is.

flac files are compressed lossless audio files. can you send me a link to what you're downloading? i might be able to help you better if i know what audio format you're downloading.

Go to www.dbpoweramp.com and download the music converter. This will rip the files you downloaded into wav format so that they can be burned on to a CD or listened to on your media player.

throwndown.net doesn't seem to want to behave at the moment. The show is 20/10/1989 @ Mountain View. Someone will have downloaded it from this site and be able to tell you more but I would like to burn it to CD and get it up in media player if possible.

^^ cool. are they usually flacs or are they wav/aiffs?I always only post FLAC's, but I think David posts WAV's occasionally. The Mountainview show is FLAC though.

We do have a forum on the website where people can go with these kind of questions, btw. :wavey:

Oooookay. Thank u for ur help guys. I've downloaded dbpoweramp. How do I use this? I keep trying to open it but it goes about it like it's a folder rather than a program. Any advice?

Edit: OK I think i got it. Basically, I click on the Music Converter Icon and then select the file I want to convert right? Well I'm doing so but the files I downloaded from throwndown are not appearing as audio files. I am confused....again.
