... if it gave you a CHANCE to meet Stevie? I read on another board that Chris' people ask a few women if they'd like to dance onstage with Chris during his last song. This person that wrote about it on the other board was given a pass that she placed on her pants and she did get backstage with that pass after the show. She didn't get to meet Stevie though, as they told her that the limo had just left.

I've been backstage twice before, only to have not met Ms. Nicks. Heartbreaking to say the least. :distress: Anyway, I have front row seats tomorrow night, so if I dress more provacatively than planned, I could get asked to go onstage to dance with Chris, thereby getting a pass. But I don't
know....

Geez, I already sound like a hooker... Would any of you guys do it???

um, no...but he wouldn't ask me either  I'm a white boy who can't dance!

He does this every show. It can be pretty funny depending on how "expressive" or drunk the girls are. Some really get into it. I also noticed in the pics from the Greek that he changes in to his mirror suit. That's a sight to behold!

It better start warming up for tomorrow's show though. It was freezing at the beach today. I realize that most people won't think 67 is freezing, but it is, especially when it's supposed to be shorts weather in San Diego.

The girl he picked (it wasn't the last song, though. It was more in the middle of the show) at the show I went to just hung on to Chris and didn't do much dancing, and a backstage guy came to take her offstage and Chris said "she's with me". Then, the girl got a little too comfortable, for lack of a better term, and flashed her neon pink bra to the audience. Chris didn't have anymore say in the matter and the backstage guy escorted her off stage.

And YES, I would dance on stage with him if it meant I could meet Stevie. I also had backstage passes once, for The Bella Donna tour, and Stevie didn't come out from her dressing room to the backstage area. Man! Oh well, I have the backstage pass in my scrapbook.

is it only provacatively dressed girls who get chosen? how much skin do you have to show?

i have no shame. if i could meet stevie by pretending to love chris isaak and dancing a bit on stage, hell yes, i'd do it. but i wouldn't compromise my self respect.

Absolutely I would - he's #4 out of the top 5 celeb guys I'd like to bang. Now if one were banging him, I'm sure that would up the chances of meeting Stevie.:woohoo:

I would...in a heartbeat. but here's something I've always wondered...what do you do backstage? like, if you have a backstage pass...what do you do back there if not to meet the artists? do you just walk around or something?

And no way, I would rather die first than get up on stage and dance with Eye Sack.

I've been back twice, and they usually put you in some type of room that resembles a break room. Then either the artists come in to meet you or not.

One time I was backstage at the venue I'm going to tonight and they separated the backstage people into 2 groups: the "meet-and-greet" group and the "Stevie Nicks guest pass" group. I was in the latter. We were left in the breakroom looking room while the others were placed right outside our room, on a patio. In walks Stevie holding one of her dogs, and Karen holding the other. Stevie says, "Hi everyone!" and continued walking out to the patio. The meet-and-greet people were the ones she stopped for. But being able to watch how she met them was surpising - they were put in a line and they each got to go up to Stevie, turn and take a picture, then were told to go. All this was being done while her limo was idleing about 12 feet away. She went through the line of about 12 people VERY quickly. So, I guess it all depends on how much time she has. Plus, I remember finding out the next night that she wasn't feeling well.

Well it sounds like getting that pass might come in handy...they asked me and I wasn't dressed in anything special. Long sleeve tunic top...jeans and my pointy shoes lol. I remember them asking me right when I sat down. And my Dad and I got there right when the doors opened. So be sure you are in your seat..and he was asking people that were in the front section only from what I could see.

I have. It's fun...and plus there were others up there too so you just kind of get caught up in the whole moment. Isaak is HOT, very nice and funny. I got to meet him backstage before he went on and talk to him a bit. He liked the Paul McCartney concert shirt I was wearing that night and we basically talked music. Considering I'm not one who dresses up for shows, I don't think that matters when getting picked. At least it didn't that night for me.

Hell yes, if it meant i MIGHT get a chance to meet Stevie. Although, I have to say I would be incredibly nervous dancing onstage in front of everyone. :o

I often think of how tiring this must be for anyone. Could you imagine getting off of your work and then having to meet and greet 20 of the people you serviced that day. I know it would get way old for me. But, she does it and that is way cool of her. I do think, though, that the meet and greets now are formulaic as opposed to those around the time of, say, up until The TITN tour. I think those prior ones were much looser and got tighter as she/they became more popular and the crazies started popping up.

I LOVE ChiliD's stpry about how FM hung with the crowd prior to going on stage in the mid 70's - or something like that. Could you IMAGINE that

I love Chili's story about that Eric Clapton concert that all the Mac members attended, everyone sitting in a different row. :p Things sure were a lot more relaxed back in the day.

I thought the women dancing with Eye Sack thing was cheesy. But then again I was totally jealous because he didn't even make eye contact with me when running past me to get to the lawn.

Bwah! I was jealous of those girls. It was cheesy, but I totally would want to be up there dancing. Plus, I was dressed for it. :p I mean, some of those girls were wearing jeans. Um, hello, a little glamour, plz? A little boob and leg?

I don't see why not, I mean, you get to be onstage in front of people, with Chris and his band, and you get to dance. Plus, when he grabbed that one dancing lady aside and talked to her and made funny jokes with her and stuff, I thought that was cool. If I would have known he was doing that, I would have wanted to get there earlier. :D

My co-worker just got back from vegas from seeing Barry Manilow. This guy really treats his hardcore fans awesome. He plays at the Hilton all year, doesn't travel anymore. She sees him once a year, every year there is a different set. She saw him for 3 nights and the shows were different every night. She got to get front row seats, dead center because she is in his fanclub. Then for $1000 you can go back stage and talk with him for 15 minutes. Someone takes pictures the entire time you talk with him. She even requested him to do a song for the next nights show and he did it for her.

I wish Stevie were a little mor elike Barry.....

Well, I still haven't decided. I guess I'll decide when and if the moment comes.

I'm starting to get that Stevie Nervousness Syndrome I always get on the day of the show.... It's good, but it can kill my stomach sometimes! :o

I'll post a review either late tonight or tomorrow am. :]

Well, since you asked...;)

1. Lindsey Buckingham
2. Sam Rockwell
3. Hugh Laurie
4. Chris Isaak
5. Jason Bateman

It's difficult to nail it down to a meager 5 but there it is. This should be a thread on its own.:D

I don't think I would. I'm not exactly his type. :p

Then again, if it gave me a GUARANTEE that I'd meet Stevie, I'd be up there in two seconds flat shaking my moneymaker.
