Tourbooks

So it appears that there ARE tourbooks now, what do they look like? Are they better than the "Gold Dust" book which looked like it was slapped together by someone on their computer. I'm hoping that the book goes with the Crystal Visions theme and uses classic and unseen photos of Stevie. If done right this book could be incredible.
Nice to see that the poster is available too. This is one of the promo posters for the album, although the promo uses a different layout for the lettering. On eBay people are asking as much as $500 for the promo version, I want the poster but not THAT bad. I'll wait and get it at the show.

They are worse. I didn't think it was possible. The only thing that looked even halfway interesting was a drawing that Stevie did for her Aunt Carmal. Other than that, the photos suck. I only saw scans so far but you can hardly see Stevie, her shots are so far away. One is good but the whole tourbook is lame! I enjoy the backstage shots but enough already with so many of them. I will have to buy it, as I have them all but I would rather not. Luckily it is only 15 bucks.

of course it is. we all thrive on it. it just came off like you were ragging on the folks who bought a tourbook and were disappointed. it's not exactly their fault, you know? and besides, the actions of the die hard fans are not going to sway stevie, her merch people (chris nicks), or her management.

what's wrong with discussing what you don't like about something, but still buying it because you like it overall and to support your favorite artist or to complete your collection?

no one's following along like a little lamb by stating his or her own opinion and then saying, essentially, but I still like it enough to buy it.

I don't like that my favorite Abercrombie & Fitch jeans now have splattered paint across the ass (wtf are the product people thinking), but I like the overall fit and look of them so I buy them.

Same here Kelly...I have each and every one of the tourbooks (with the expection of the new cv) regardless of how crappy they are...which is why I have 100's of demos/outtakes, etc. even though the quality is less than stellar...I still have to have them! And let us not forget the photos...1,000's upon 1,000's (collected for the sake of collecting)

mine too, they were such cheese, i got something cooler when i e-d reprise they sent me a "THE VERY best of FM" cd signed by the whole band minus chris for nothing along w/ a letter from them~
