Anyone know what the major Chris Isaak message boards are? Just curious what his set is like.

05-17-2007, 10:46 PM
A friend from this board txt messaged me that someone from Chris's people asked her if she'd like to dance on stage with Chris. She declined.
She sent me phone pics of the new shirts - hard to see details but there's definitely a black t-shirt with the CD cover photo on it. There's also a red one (I think it's a ladies cut) that says Crystal Visions.

i have a 2:54 am prediction and it's grim, and though i feel it should be in a new thread, i'm hiding it in here.
I think the promoter is going to pull the plug. i think this tour MIGHT make it to Jones Beach in NY on 6/13, or the tour will be cancelled just before Jones Beach.
If not, i'd expect one of the two New Jersey shows (on June 12 and June 15) to be cancelled.
Word of mouth about opening night (this thread now has more than 3,000 hits just hours after the concert ended) isn't going to help sluggish sales, TicketMaster have already prominently placed the option to buy 4 lawn seats for less than $80 for many of the dates, which makes me think the promoter is worried.
Top price for most markets is $125, and only in Stevie's kind-hearted friend mind is Chris Isaak a 'co-headliner' and not an opening act. I don't think this tour is going to make it. The cd-dvd is falling so fast, radio didn't bite on either 'Rock and Roll' or 'Landslide' and there's just no buzz for a Nicks/Issac bill in this tough economy, what with gas climbing towards $4 a gallon and many venues charging $15 to park ontop of the ticket prices, which are too high for an artist who hasn't had a substantial hit in ages. I just don't think the concert market is ripe for her right now.
On opening night, Nicks sang 5 songs (out of 14) that she performed on the last Mac tour, which had trouble with ticket sales on the final leg.
She's been the artist i have loved the most, back from my pre-teen years, now into my 40s.. but sadly, she is now an oldies act, due to her choices in how she presents herself on stage with so much of her Fleetwood Mac material overlapping into her solo concerts, that i think there isn't an incentive for fans to pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of tickets to see pretty much the same show, yet again. Maybe the lawn seat plan will help fill these venues, but it seems telling that it's being offered so visibly with the 'orchestra' seating pricing hidden, comparatively.
Oldies acts can't fill these 10,000+ seat venues at these prices and i don't think the promoter will be willing to take a financial beating.
I don't wish Stevie badly at all, I wish her success, and maybe my 'crystal vision prediction' will be all wet, but as of 3:07 am now, i think this tour is not long for this world...

05-18-2007, 02:56 AM
At this point I never put my expectations too high for her doing 'something new' So I was not terribly surprised or disappointed by the set list being the same old one.I will say she looked great ,very fresh and her voice was better than I have heard it since 1998, she hit a high note in Dreams I hadn't heard in years and her Gold Dust Woman yell was impressive .I was concerned how she would sound after seeing some of the recent TV appearances but vocallly she was really on.

05-18-2007, 03:44 AM
Just got back. I agree Stevie looked great, and seemed to be really trying to focus on her vocals.
The only surprise for me was HSML, which was always one of my favorites. They did a pretty good version of the song with Stevie not shying away from the high notes. I'd say she nailed it.
Issak played around 75 minutes-too long for me. But they delivered a solid set.
As far as the house goes, I'd say it was 2/3 full. The pit, first section and middle of the pavilion were full but the sides were a bit sparse here and there. The lawn seemed pretty full. I'd estimate maybe 8,000 out of a 12,500 seat venue.
I didnt expect Stevie to do anything new, but after tonight I have to say I would hesitate to see her again in the future if she rolled out the same show.
I did enjoy Landslide, the vocal was beautiful to me, and she showed alot of pics of her dad as she sang. She seemed to be having alot of fun with Rock & Roll and I need to Know. Really, it was a solid set, but that's enough for me. Unil it changes.
She came out pretty bundled up, kept the black gloves on all night, and had a scarf on the first few numbers. Again I am glad I went but I finally get the frustration everyone's been feeling. It's not impossible to change, she clearly does not want to.

First off, Chris Isaak kicks ass. His voice is beautiful, his band is great, he's funny, and hot. I would see him again by himself, were it cheaply enough. He made some great Stockton trailer jokes, too. He's from Stockton, so is my fam. on the mom side.
It was funny and good.
That being said, Stevie's vocals on the "same old songs" were incredible. And I'm not talking incredible, like "there was one new part on one song". I'm talking incredible like, tear the house down.
She added new cool stuff to GDW, her Fall From Grace practically set my awesome dress on fire, and her HSML was amazing. It was just all different and fresher, vocally. But not just a little, a LOT.
Plus, usually I don't like Enchanted live, and this time I did. It was faster. It was like, everything was faster. Her whole singing pace was way better and more dynamic. And like was said before, there was different notes. In fact, everything sounded a bit different and better. And I'm not just saying that. Even Dreams seemed rockin'. It was weird, I was suprised my ownself. Even BATB, which has been spectacular these couple years, but mostly the same - seemed different. It's hard to describe, kinda, but basically all her vocals were better, more dynamic, and either subtly or obviously different. Not different like a whole new song, but different like...well, different. Better, faster, stronger, different emphases. It was weird. And awesome.
So, if you are pissed about the setlist, don't go. If you want to hear the setlist infused with fire and more greatness, go.

Not different like a whole new song, but different like...well, different. Better, faster, stronger, different emphases. It was weird. And awesome.
So, if you are pissed about the setlist, don't go. If you want to hear the setlist infused with fire and more greatness, go.
In all these years I have never seen her on an opening night until now..I hope her great vocals hold up through the tour so everyone can hear them.

I understand what you are saying I kind of went on a last minute impulse this time and I'm also glad I went but if it really does stay this stagnant forever I see more hard core fans bailing on the live shows.

i have a 2:54 am prediction and it's grim, and though i feel it should be in a new thread, i'm hiding it in here.
Actually, I think you may be right. This tour will not be a sell-out, her real fans are bailing out - and as far as I am concerened it serves her right. Im so pissed right now.

Hi all,
I haven't posted to the Ledge in years; however, after reading some of the comments in anticipation of and after last night's performance, I have to agree that over the past few years, Stevie's show has left me disappointed and I have simply stopped going.
After my inital FM/SN experience on the Tango tour; I was mesmerized -- so much that I went out and got every single bootleg show of earlier shows that I could get my hands on. The one thing that amazed me was how Stevie would 'spin' each performance with her style, flair, vocals -- each one was a bit different than the other. Some songs she would completely go off into different keys, etc. She was dynamic, she was spontaneous...
I traveled all over the place (planes, trains, automobiles) to see Mask, Timespace, Angel, Dance, Enchanted, TISL, and SYW shows; my friends would do everything possible to get a coveted first five rows with the chance of reaching up and shaking her hand, etc. Now, I know there were several other 'influences' in the early days; however, through the late 90s, we would still see the spontaneity shine through now and again. The Enchanted tour being a prime example (esp. the Radio City show where I finally got to see a glimpse of the rock out-speaking in tongues Stevie!) and when Lindsey came back, we saw a livelier Stevie up on stage...
However, as time went by, so did the 'magic' that I loved seeing. Yes, there were a few 'sparks' - the covers on the Gold Dust Tour -- but I became a bit resentful, why would Stevie go to covers, when there are so many songs (hits even) from her own career that her fans would die to hear. We gasped when she brought Sara back -- but what about the countless others? And I understand Stevie has gotten older; I'm not asking for cartwheels on stage, just a bit of spontaneity in song choice and/or arrangement.
So, in light of ticket prices being so expensive these days, I always defer to The Ledge postings before I buy any ticket to a show. My friends have long stopped going; they say, "why bother? same 'ol songs, same 'ol performances." I never want to admit that Stevie is becoming a 'lounge' or 'cabaret' act -- simply singing the 'oldies but goodies,' yet, it appears to be happening. Yes, I know that the majority of audiences aren't long-time followers of Stevie or FM, who know every lyric to every song on every setlist ever created; she does need to appeal to the 'OMG I love that Landslide song' audience as well as her long-time fans. Stevie has always been quite frank about having to perform 'those songs' in her set -- and I respect that (I could see Stand Back, Gold Dust, and Rhiannon 1000x and never get sick of them -- after all, they've become her trademarks); but, these days, 'I've gotten older too' and I've seen it all before.
Grace Slick spoke candidly when she said 'no one wants to see their grandmother rock on stage' when asked why she doesn't perform anymore. While I believe Stevie to be a truly amazing artist, beautiful in every way, I'm not planning to go to any of the shows on this tour. I don't want to see the depleting audiences, and the archaic set lists anymore. The more I see online, the more it appears she's simply 'going through the motions.' I love Stevie and will continue to turn her up in my car and in my house.
I hope everyone has a magical time on this tour -- especially, all the new fans out there who might be experiencing Stevie for the first time. Have a blast and don't let us old timers bring you down -- I have so many amazing memories of my SN shows, the fans, the excitement, the energy. But, after reading many of the posts in anticipation, last night's setlist was a bit of a let down for me personally. Yes, she may change it, and I might still check out a Jersey or NY show (from the lawn probably), but for now -- I'll defer to the rising ticket prices and gas prices, and stay at home w/ my memories and CDs.
Thanks for reading....
Dave

OK...I'm a little speechless. When I first read the set list, I thought maybe it was "speculation" and I was trying to find the real set list somewhere else in the thread. I honestly cannot believe it. I didn't expect major changes but I expected some changes. Very disappointing. Makes me feel not so bad that she's not coming to South Florida on this tour.

This whole thing makes me a bit sad actually. She really has no spontaneity and I can really see why there were problems onstage on the last Mac tour. She is not flexible, where LB would pretty much try anything. It has to be very difficult to work in a situation like that.
Difficult and a complete drag.
With so many hard core, LOYAL fans bailing on multiple shows, I think sales will be a huge problem. I do not think the promotor will pull the plug because between Eye Sack and Nicks fan, they should sell enough tickets to at least break even.
Stevie really needs to wake up.

***WARNING! TOTALLY OT!!!***
And now, since we didn't take pics, I feel I must show some fuzzy ones I took at home. Mainly because my dress rocked, and you can't see in the pics, but there is gold sparkle all through, which is important in the Brown/Beige/Gold scheme of it. It was tight, yet inexplicably flattering.
Even with my little girl boobs. And my pimple, DEB.  :wavey: P.S., if you're trying to find something to inspire Golden Braid, a pimple is the key. I've never seen her so full of jokes. :p
Who cares about my dress, you ask? If you saw the dress, you wouldn't ask. And, B, I ALWAYS care about the dress. Dressing up is the best part. :woohoo: Yes, I love clothes that much.
And for those "in the know", it randomly yet perfectly matched my Fleetwood Mac sweatshirt. Brown and gold wise. And also the necklace I made 2 years ago. Ah, fashion serendipity. I love it so. Also included is a fuzzy shot of my Stevie back tat. It's cool, but it's hard to tell. Trust me on this. Also, I don't know why I can't take any non fuzzy pics. But who cares? Also, remind me to clean my bathroom mirror. Thx.

Was Lori on stage? Any one have any specifics about the back up singers? Anyone go to the microphone with Stevie? (like Sharon)
It's really disappointing that there wasn't more focus on SOLO material. Stevie did use strong rock and roll songs: Stand Back, I Need To Know, Fall From Grace, Edge of Seventeen, Rock & Roll. It's the rest of the Fleetwood Mac filler that needs to be replaced. Lori wrote on the Nicks Fix "Nightbird" was one of her most favorite songs. Anything solo would be appreciated: Destiny, Blue Denium, even the simple guitar song from TISL, "It's Only Love," would have been a welcome change. Something different from Bella Donna besides "Stop Draggin'," "Edge of Seventeen," "Leather and Lace." In the end the list is Wild Heart focused: Nothing Ever Changes.
YES, I love Stevie Nicks. YES, I'm glad she's alive, YES, I'm thrilled she is touring at all. If the top ticket price was $55.00 maybe some of this would make sense. Especially in view of the Ticket Master Auctions that are pulling in in some cases over $1000 per seat!

this part made me chuckle. and I agree.
I'll always love Stevie just as much as I ever did, but I just can't keep paying such an exorbitant amount of money 2 and 3 times a year to see her rehash the same old concert. if she was coming within 100 miles or so, I'd go in a heartbeat; but I just can't see getting a plane ticket, hotel room, spending money, concert ticket...equaling $1000...twice this summer for the same show. I've just reached that point. nothing will beat Vegas 05 unless she changes some things. and I did the Vegas thing, have it on DVD, spent a couple thousand dollars. if that's all we're going to get from now on, then I'm just as happy in my pajamas watching it on DVD, cranked way up.

You people just aren't listening. If you listened harder, you'd notice that she always sings her more obscure songs backwards while she's doing her hits. Like when she did that awesome version of SOTM while singing Landslide on the Today Show back in 2005.

To be honest, it is easier to go see Stevie than find an interesting guy to spend two hours with. It is all about standards.
Anyway, I'd be too annoyed after the show to be bothered with booty.
It's shocking really. I've been a fan for 30 years. Been to every tour here in LA since 1994 - usually to multiple shows of every tour stop. And I can't be bothered to drive 15 minutes with a free ticket.

My thought at the end of the show was "this is the last time I'm seeing Stevie".
Perhaps if she ever plays a venue right in San Francisco or in a couple of years I get nostalgic and want to see her in Vegas.
Thankfully her vocals really were quite stunning. That saved the night for me. Otherwise I was a mixture of bored and sad. I can't believe there were no songs with Eye Sack.
Highlights were hanging with Ledgie friends and meeting new ones. Oh, and watching Chris Eye Sack run past me all the way up to the lawn. He's hot. And texting Jaz.
What on earth compels her to sing Enchanted? Unbelievable.... And INTK? What does any of that have to do with Crystal Visions. Tired stuff dragged out one more time...have no idea what is going on in her head.
Landslide was touching as she had a montage of old photos and videos, mostly of her dad. At the end she said "thank you, Daddy".
Oh, and she delivered this Stevieism at the end:
"Take time to smell the roses because the world is an insane place and it's great we have a few moments where we can just be."
Sorry...this is random. I'm exhausted.

Wow! This is a real shame. I think that if anyone connected to Stevie is reading this you need to slap her silly. This is just inexcusable. It is a brand new tour with new merchandise, a new CD, blah, blah, blah, yet this is an identical setlist to what she has been doing the last few years.
On the bright side, this makes me much less sad that I am missing this tour. I saw her in Tampa in February and that is good for me for a while. Until she changes things up, I have no desire to spend the money. And, I am a huge fan! I've seen her ten times in the last four years, and it has basically been the same set list each time. But this is the final straw.
Stevie and/or Stevie's people (and I know they read this board): Get with it! This is just embarassing at this point.

Yawn!!! what a boring set list. I wonder if after Chris is gone when she 's doing her own solo shows if the set list will change? I highly doubt it. What gets me is this mindset that you have to please the casual fan while screwing over the one's who have supported you from the start and continue to do so.
I went to see Bon Jovi in Ottawa in 2001 and then on the next tour saw that the setlist was virtually the same so I skipped the Bounce Tour. Then in 2005 I saw them again in Montreal and heard some new songs not heard on the One Wild Night Tour, but the majority of the set was the same old same old (Keep The Faith, Wanted, Blaze of Glory,Bad Medicine, Livin on A Prayer etc). I doubt I will go on their next tour if they plan on rehashing the same old hits
The point I am making is that it I wonder how much this having to please the casual fan really matters anymore. She isn't as popular as she was so you might as well play what the die hards want because at least the shows will remain fresh to a certain extent. I wonder how long the casual fans she seems so obsessed with pleasing will continue to go.
It is things like this that make me love Melissa Etheridge more and more because she plays requests from the audience and also delves into her catalogue to play songs not often done.

The set list made ya sad....
You think that song would be a no-brainer...an ideal opportunity for them to sing together...as a closer..."We gotta get home fast." I'm surprised their sets are so separate. At the very least I'd thought they'd make guest appearances in each other's set. Did I misread statements about this being a show with Stevie and Chris...together? I'll be seeing Stevie next week in San Diego. Even though I've seen her solo in Vegas 4 times in the last few years, it will be her first solo appearance in San Diego since the TISL tour in 2001. To me the setlist is tired. To my friends who will be joining me and last saw her on the Enchanted tour, it will be refreshing. They have never seen Stevie perform Rock and Roll, If Anyone Falls, How Still My Love and Beauty and the Beast. When we say she doesn't think of her die hard fans when she selects her set list - exactly how are we defining die hard fans? If we count those who post on the message boards the number is quite small when you consider that maybe 10 and at the outside 20 attended last nights show in Concord. Out of 8000 or so in attendance that's a pretty small percentage. If you don't travel to Vegas or weren't lucky to be in a city when she toured with Don Henley or Tom Petty you probably have only seen her twice on a solo tour in the last decade. I can remember seeing FM back in the 70's when you were lucky to get 3 or 4 of Stevie's song in a whole concert. Back then you wished you could hear more and would have gladly settled for only hearing Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman and Landslide. I bet not too many of those in attendance will complain about the setlist. The majority of the crowd is there to hear the exact songs she is playing. During the SYW tour I remember all the fans going to the restroom or talking out loud during Beautiful Child. For the majority, they only want to hear the songs they hear over and over again. They aren't lucky enough to know of the vast number of songs she hasn't recorded or the hidden gems on the albums that only those of us who follow her so closely know about. I'll enjoy the show because over 30 years ago when I saw her for the first time I would never have dreamed I could still see her in concert today.

Stevie Nicks says there's only one drawback to having an artist like Chris Isaak open for her on her summer tour. She has to scale back the kind of set she would normally do for fans.
"I'm very happy to have Chris come with us, but I didn't really realize that meant I was going to have to shorten my set," Nicks said in a recent phone interview. "With his hour set and the 30-minute changeover, we won't go on until somewhere between 9:15 and 9:30, and curfews are 11 o'clock, and you'd better be done because if you're not, they'll pull your power."
Cutting three or four songs from what has traditionally been nearly a two-hour set is about the only thing that draws a complaint from Nicks these days. Her life and career have recovered from a period in which there was reason to wonder if Nicks could continue to be a vital force on the music scene. But, as Nicks herself said, her life today is fantastic.
I'm hoping when she dumps Chris in June, she adds a few more songs back into her set. Thats the only hope I have right now.

Well said Beachwood! And good point about her not being here solo since 2001. Even though I feel like i just saw her, it was with Petty.

She was on fire. She is so oviously having a good time on stage these past few years that the set list doesn't matter much to me. Her vocals have gotten sultrier, sexier. Her playfullness is intoxicating.
See this show jsut to hear her vocals. She will not be doing this much longer, cherish her while we still can.

Amber -
Great pics! Great dress!
I'm glad you had a great time last night and I'm glad you posted about it. It was pretty gloomy in here last night as you can probably tell. So glad to hear her energy is high and that even tho it's same old same old, Stevie (and you) obviously had fun with it.
Did you get to the stage for Edge?
~jamie
:woohoo: Thank you! - Yeah, it sure is gloomy here. Iown't care, though.
Anyway, yes, I got to the stage for the Edge rush, and finally, finally got to shake her little paw and say thank you. It was lovely. And yes, I had a great time :)
See this show just to hear her vocals.
WORD!
It is the sound of her voice that enchants me more than her songs, anyway, if that makes sense. I mean, obviously there is no voice without songs. But at home I have listened to the same Stevie songs a billion times, for a billion years. Every day. All the time. Because I have to hear her voice.
And so you can see why I, personally, am so delighted that her actual voice sounds so great on the songs. It's so awesome to have her voice completely surround you, so loud.
It sucks bad she didn't do anything with Eye-Sack, though. If there's anything I like better than Stevie's voice, it's Stevie's voice in harmony with someone else's.

BTW - full white dress? Like, a white/cream colored dress? Or that beige chiffon overlay thingy she tosses on over her black get-up?
Someone else might be able to describe better. For Edge, she put on a full white dress and then had a thin black coat/shawl thingy over it. In the front, it only covered her arms and shoulders (I think), so she was mostly white in front.
In other outfit news, she did not have the Rhiannon wings. For most of the show, she had a black scarf and I believe she had black gloves the entire time.
She was simply gorgeous and looked well rested.

Well, no, actually.
But I would have posted that even if I were well rested. I am not interested in patronizing comments. I'm not telling other people how they should have reacted to the show. I'm posting my experience. The difference between the "complainers" and the Stevie "defenders" is that the complainers focus criticism on Stevie and the defenders focus criticism on the complainers. I do not buy the argument that Stevie should be without criticism because she will be retired soon. As long as she is releasing material and playing concerts, she is subject to criticism.
Anyway, let me stress that I agree 100% with Amber and wolfontherun that the vocals were superb and if you are fine with the setlist, then you will have an incredible experience.
For me, the boring and uninspired set list has eclipsed her vocals. I will smell the roses doing other things......

I don't even know what she is talking about. She did 14 songs last night. She did 15 songs in Gold Dust Tour. And she ended at 10:45, so there was time for one or two more songs before they pulled the plug. She is also welcome to cut the endless pre-Edge percussion/drum solo and the 5 minute intro to Rhiannon. :)

  I love it best when Stevie harmonizes with herself. Course, she's not gonna do the lame self-absorbed-Barbra-Streisand-sings-A-Piece-of-Sky thang. At least she's got good judgement with regard to that.
I'm not at all surprised by the set list. I was waiting to see it before I bought tickets to the Greek in LA. I pretty much knew that it would be the same ole thing, so now I don't need to bother with getting tix.
Hey, Stevie- here's a request from this long time die-hard fan:
1) Release new material
2) Freshen up your set list

This whole thing makes me a bit sad actually. She really has no spontaneity and I can really see why there were problems onstage on the last Mac tour. She is not flexible, where LB would pretty much try anything. It has to be very difficult to work in a situation like that.
Difficult and a complete drag.
With so many hard core, LOYAL fans bailing on multiple shows, I think sales will be a huge problem. I do not think the promotor will pull the plug because between Eye Sack and Nicks fan, they should sell enough tickets to at least break even.
Stevie really needs to wake up.
She is just lazy..always has been. It's true.

Honestly, ticket prices are at least as big a factor for me as her setlist. I've never seen Stevie live. I did see LB when he was in Austin, and paid $45 a ticket. Great show. If I could get decent seats to see Stevie for $45, I'd be there in a minute. $150-200 a seat is not worth it to me.

I have been one of the more vitriolic critics on here of her casual fan catering , jukebox oldies unchanging setlists of the last few years but I think I've found a new way to enjoy her shows and that is to no longer view them as rock concerts but as a cabaret type act like Judy Garland or Marlene Dietrich used to perform .Really her shows are no longer even a rock concert but if one can appreciate her as a touring legend the way people used to with these women it is easier to appreciate the show IMO.It works well for me as a middle aged gay man who knew people in the generation just before me that actually saw Judy or Marlene to imagine her shows that way now .I know everyone doesn't have that same frame of reference but when I think of having gone to the show as seeing a star reprise her career and looking beautiful and sounding great while she did it I found it possible to let go of alot of the expectations and resentments I had of still wanting her to behave as it was 1981 with and with the wildness and spontaneity she displayed then.

I did forget that she has only done these in Vegas so I guess there are two "new" songs in the CV set list.
I know this has been said and we can go round and round, but there is a list of about only 20 songs, at most, that Stevie seems willing to perform live anymore. Most of them are in every set and then she does mild shuffling like drop INTK for half a tour and then bring it back.
It simply baffles me that one of the most prolific songwriters in history would limit herself that way. She played nothing from 3 out of 6 of her solo albums. She wastes (my opinion) two of her precious 14 songs on covers while she has her own masterpieces shoved in some desk drawer. Why did we get just that one brief moment of magic during Enchanted Tour when she was so willing to perform a daring set list? What happened?
It makes no sense to me and ultimately has becoming greatly disappointing.

I thought the same until I saw that clip on youtube. I think it actually works as long as there is a long drum intro to lead it off, not the short one like in Vegas recently. I think it's sort of fitting and it's a good show opener, it fits in well with all the excitement everyone is feeling in anticipation for her to show up. Where I think they go abit wrong, is they then go into Dreams. They should keep the momentum going abit. The first show in Vegas this year went right into Gold Dust I believe after Stand Back... which is slower or mellower, but not as mellow as Dreams.

Interesting and well put. Sometimes she gets close to self parody but always seams to veer off just in time.
Much of her "act" is as you say but then she belts out rock n roll and you realize this 50 something woman still can kick ass as a rock n roller.
She could have a second career as a Ditrich or Garland type of performer if she dropped all her rock songs and just did the torch songs. fOR THAT TYPE OF SHOW i WOULD PAY ANYTHING.

Well she has made reference very recently to doing a standards type album ..at first I wasn't too thrilled with the idea as it has been done by many (Carly Simon, Rod Stewart etc.)but now I think she might be able to pull it off well, having heard how impressive her vocals were on Thursday. I really like her Etta James covers that she did for the Walden Woods benefits as well.so if she were to do that type of show in a smaller venue I'd be willing to shell out to see it too.

I went to the show, too, and it's true even I was disappointed that it was the same setlist as Vegas without SDMHA. I was surprised she left that hit off, but perhaps it was to make room for something like How Still My Love (I liked how she sang "Should I say... how still my love" on that several times). However, my friend who went with me who is not a Stevie hardcore (she owns TimeSpace) said that she appreciated the fact that most of Stevie's songs were hits, so she could sing along.
Boring setlist aside, she was terrific vocally and had lots of energy. She danced so much for Stand Back she was out of breath. The crowd was also great, on their feet for almost the entire time. It was a good show. I guess if you're a hardcore looking for something new, this isn't the show for you. If you're a hardcore just wanting to have a good time seeing Stevie Nicks, give it a shot.

I'm mixed on SB as opener. It is definitely the strongest I've ever seen Stevie take the stage, but it is odd to have it over with so quickly in the set. It is a million times better than Enchanted, though.

Maybe the whole time she was allegedly preparing, she was sitting in her house, smoking doobs, watching TV, and thinking:
"I should work out some new songs for my setlists...or make myself a sandwich...hmmm....maybe now I'll have some ice cream...ooo, I wonder if I should do Angel?...I think I'll have some chips now....Oh, good, it's time for America's Next Top Model!...What was I thinking about again?!...*squint, puff*...Oh, yeah, I better try on some outfits...maybe the black one...*squint, puff*..."

I had no doubt I would be seeing Ms.Nicks on her tour and the fact that she is doing "I Need To Know" is a sweet bonus for me.
You're happy about INTK? Good for you.
You're going tonight?

Ive always liked this one as well. As far as I'm concerned, she can drop Rock and Roll because Ive been bored with that for a while. She breathed new life into I Need to Know last year with Tom Petty!

She did, you are very right, but I'd still prefer no cover songs. Know what I mean?

I may be one of the lucky ones. I'm seeing her here in Ohio and by that time Eye Sack should be gone. With extra time to fill I'm sure she'll throw in something. Weather it's new material or not, (probably not) we'll see. IMO I think she's just worn down. Since she already has an entire show edited down, formatted and media ready for the big screens, she's running with it. It's like we're working for a big business (Stevie Corp.) and the big guy upstairs doesn't think like the little people working downstairs. She's going out and touring. As much as we hate the set list we can't complain too much. She's my damn grandma's age and still singing. GO STEVIE

Why all the negativity about Chris Isaak? And no, I don't feel 14 songs is good for the money I paid to see Nicks. I'll probably never see her again at this rate. (believe me, I've seen her and Mac dozens of times) She's gotten very lazy.

Poor Stevie has gotten too old and set in her ways.
With Chris Isaak with her, a shame he didn't join Stevie in her set. Leather & Lace and SDMYA duets would have been simply great.
Agreed. C'mon, isn't singing one or two songs she HASN'T done before too much to ask? For $125 per ticket?!
Unless I win a ticket or someone gives me one or she comes to my area on my birthday again, I'm not going. And I've seen the woman 10 times.
