I am officially jealous of those lucky enough to go this time around. No dates yet near me (hoping for a second leg of the tour). First row and 12th row center, that is so cool. I am so happy for you guys. I know you will, but for everyone that is going, have a BLAST and rock and dance the night away. :)

Well, I was scheduled to see Stevie/Eye-sack on May 30th Oklahoma City...
BUT I may have to sell my ticket on eBay (And also cancel my Memorial Day holiday plans with my siblings) if the new job workouts and I cannot have some control of the work schedule.

My god, I've never heard of that! I mean, I've heard of plastic, but never seen it in flask form.
You've got to write some sort of "how-to/expose on the debauchery of your life" book.
It can be called "Now There I Go, Again, I See, the Double Visions"
Wait, I don't think they have metal detectors there.

Nice gig. They're missing out, though.
Gah, my squirrelyness is factor 4 with the soonely pending Stevie show. You can tell it's severe, because I just pretended I knew the measurement scale of "squirrelyness". When in fact, I've only taken one Squirrelyness class in my life; I got an 'A', but I'm hardly an expert in the subtleties of the scale.
I'm all wound up. I'm one of those people that is still into Stevie. *Raises fist*:). It makes it worse that I'm last-minute-ticketing. I have to constantly be ready to pounce on tickets. Like a cat. Who likes concerts. And has a credit card. And opposable thumbs.

Schlep? You must live really far from BART. :( Only things that are far from BART are "schlepping" here.:p Are you sure? Me and someone are meeting at BART, getting off in Concord, then someone is picking us up there. That isn't very hard, and you could probably do that with us. I'd hate to see you not go because of your aversion to schlepping, when in fact it could be fairly easy. And fun, might I add. :wavey: We always have a good time. Or, I always do, and the others smile sometimes, too. Seriously, it is fun.
It kind of sounds like you don't want to go that much, but I thought I'd say, and invite, just in case. You can never have too many Stevie fans in one place. In theory. :woohoo:  PM if you find a workable, non schlepping schedule and would like to join. Plus, the online scalpers are dropping the prices of their good tickets like a hot canoli.

I still don't have my ticket, so, you know, I hope you will be kind to the "little people" and wave to me in back.
Also, for everyone, the online scalpers have dropped their prices. i was seeing fifth row for around $150 ish. And that extended a bit to even closer rows.
Does anyone know what these online scalpers do with their hot tix at the last minute? Someone told me they released them back into Ticketmaster, but that doesn't sound right, although I hope it is true. I mean, on the last day, they all have to be ticketfast tickets, or will call, and it's hard for me to believe these scalpers would take such a big $ hit so close to the show without being able to release them back into TM. My point is, if no one buys these tickets, they must be available, but where? And how? You can't just ditch pit tickets. Someone has to get them. I guess they must be released back, because even if online scalpers had them, if no one bought them, they must show up as available in the TM system.
No, wait, the scalpers already bought them, so...Dammit!!! How does this **** work? I just think that with so many online ticket scalpers out there holding good seats, that there must be some sort of "release back into the system" system.
Whatever, this thing was mostly academic, but could become very practical in the next day - but I really do want to know. But I just looked at the TM Concord Box Office hours, and it said they were open Monday and Friday and some other weekend day. Only. As in, Only Monday and Friday and some other.
So I can't storm the box office on a Thurs, apparently, except by phone.
But again, all these online scalper PIT tickets have to go SOMEWHERE. My point? My point is, WTF? Where will all these awesome tickets be in the next day or so?
I can't pretend I'm not more than slightly pissed off. Not directly (but definitely indirectly) cause of the tix, just because I've been trying to solve this same ticket mystery for years, without much luck. Okay, sure, ticket situtations get me into a froth. I would be lying if I denied my froth. But my query in its entirety is a whoooole nother dimension of tickets. One that I haven't even heard the best FM ticket minds solve completely. Without the help of photoshop.
All I'm saying is, there is a lot of good seats online through scalpers, and, yet, I have no access to these tix, right now, a mere day before the event, and so, where do these awesome seats go? Were they always theoretical?
It just.doesn't.make.sense.
I know everyone else here just tries to get their tix, including me. And we've all bitched about who has the tix. But I don't recall anyone every confronting the mystery of the tix.
If other people can get these great tix, but not us, there must be a thing. Even the most diligent of us can rarely get good tix at the first sale, or otherwise. Yet somehow, online scalpers have these tix. Why is that? That is not fair. TM must have some kind of deal with them, otherwise they would not show up with all the good tix. No way.
So what kind of lame ass deals is TM making? We all know that we have literally been there from the first moments tickets were supposedly on sale, and we haven't been able to get bupkus. Yet, the same day, online scalpers have first row available?? WTF?
Rickypt

Not directly (but definitely indirectly) cause of the tix, just because I've been trying to solve this same ticket mystery for years, without much luck. Okay, sure, ticket situtations get me into a froth. I would be lying if I denied my froth. But my query in its entirety is a whoooole nother dimension of tickets. One that I haven't even heard the best FM ticket minds solve completely. Without the help of photoshop.
All I'm saying is, there is a lot of good seats online through scalpers, and, yet, I have no access to these tix, right now, and so, where do these awesome seats go? Were they always theoretical?
It just.doesn't.make.sense.

Did you know you can buy 4 lawn tix for $79? Can't beat that!:)

Amber even hates 4th row, she can't believe you would mention the lawn.
And Amber doesn't talk about herself in the third person unless it is ticket serious.
TICKET. SERIOUS.
AND IT IS, RIGHT NOW.
Do not speak of subpar tickets, I do not want the universe to know they exist. All my concentration is centered on good tix. Please think only of good tix for us. In everything you do, imagine good cheap tickets, that I win on the radio. Think only of that front seat. Pretend you have no knowledge of your inferior seat.
It's like cops - if you don't notice them, they won't think about you either. Always look innocent, always imagine the best tickets. Don't make me come over there. Because that would take away energy I need to win seats.
Focus, Ryan, Focus. Consciously imbue Amber with thoughts of winning on the radio. Do not speak negatively of said show. Said show will be great, and you will be happy. Think of nothing besides tickets in relation to Stevie, now. Grasshoppah.

Greetings and Salutations my Sisters and Brothers! :wavey:
The roll call and countdown to the “Tour Kickoff” is right!!! It’s that “magickal” time again. I hope all is well in each and every one of your kingdoms. I’ve missed conversing with you folks. Please accept my apologies for being a stranger to this fantastic forum setup here for us. Time isn’t what it used to be. That stated, I would like to say I’ve really enjoyed reading your threads all throughout the years. I’m going to try to be more present.
Well kids, I have to confess. I cheated…big time! I have bit the bullet and purchased tickets for Concord through a broker (StubHub) ($552 for two tickets including shipping and commission). I swore to myself I never would do this…that is until I discovered the true evil nature of what I now know is TicketMaster! I guess this is where I say “If you can’t beat ‘em – join ‘em!”
Can I say…that I really hate the whole process of acquiring tickets for Stevie’s shows? It’s an absolute heartache. “Sometimes it’s a Bitch, Sometimes it’s a breeze!” But most of the time it’s the absolute worst! Not knowing I’d be jumping from one fire into another with respect to not knowing exactly where the seats are, whether or not I would receive them in time, or even if I did…whether they’d be valid.
Kill me now and put out of my misery. I did call StubHub and they did assure me that the seller has been very reputable with ebay for the past 3 years with no complaints. It did make me feel better about ruling out possible fraud. Yes indeed I have had really great luck in the past with TicketMaster at the very last minute for scoring really great seats in the past 4th row or better, but this year had me spooked because of Chris Isaak's participation. To think people will actually be there to see him and not Stevie really is disconcerting to me. :distress:
These are the facts as I understand them. The online sellers do release these unsold tickets back to TicketMaster more often than not, depending on the Promoter or Venue. Often times these sellers actually work for TicketMaster…isn’t that sinister? That’s how they’re able to acquire these blocks of choice seats so easily. Aaaaah…to be on the inside. I have found that diligence pays off and try to catch TicketMaster just as they’re updating their systems usually mid-morning – late night this...varies. I always try to probe as much info when I call these Reps to glean any insight into mastering this game myself.
I’ll tell you, though, I am done – you here me…done with this game. It’s not fun anymore. I’m too old for this. I have decided to set up a Stevie Nicks Concert Fund immediately following this concert so as to always be able to afford secondary market ticket prices. I don’t even care anymore. I know this is going to sound terrible and I am so embarrassed to admit this but…I can't bring myself to attend a Stevie / Fleetwood Mac Concert unless I’m within the first 7 rows. I think it’s some kind of psychological disease where I feel if I’m going to be that close to Stevie for a few hours I need it to be as intimate as possible. The first 7 rows I suppose satisfies this desire…no? :o
Needless to say, I’m beside myself when I say to you that I, at least, will be sitting in the 2nd row of the pit!!! AAAAHHHHHH!!!! :blob1: I am very excited!!! Stevie’s worth it. It’s only too bad she doesn’t reap the benefits of secondary market prices though. What a crime. I’ve been seeing her for over 20 years now. “Rock A Little” was my first tour at 14 years old. I’m dating myself for sure!
I’m hoping to meet some of you at this concert this time. Last time Stevie came around I posted a thread to see if anyone from the ledge would be there - no one responded. Alas, I didn’t meet anyone from the ledge. Again, and as always I will be the crazy one with the wild blond main of hair with top hat and beribboned tambourine dancing up a storm in the 2nd row. I am not particularly shy, so I probably will be saying hello to everybody at that show. I hope it’s one of you guys. Say Hello! :wavey:
A special hello to Miss Jazmen Flowers! I was sorry that I didn’t have the where-with-all to attend your “Crystal Visions” event. I know it was very special. I know how much work goes into producing something like that. I’ve finally seen some pictures of you, and if I do say so myself, you are absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see the new shawls you debuted. I, myself, am a “Female Illusionist” (if you will) in San Francisco. I belong to the Imperial Court, a fundraising Drag organization up here in San Francisco. www.imperialcouncilsf.org Stevie is definitely my muse when I perform. I would love to know where and how you cobbled together some of your stage clothes. If you get an opportunity check out this website for some very affordable and very beautifully made corsets. www.timeless-trends.com (http://www.timeless-trends.com)I’m hoping you’ll being able to produce your next event in the bay area. If you ever need help in making this happen please let me know. I’ve done my “Gypsy Hijinks” events here for several years. This past February I produced “The Wild Hearts Ducal Ball”. Though it was Stevie inspired it was more Gypsy in theme. I really loved the choices you made for your set list. It sounds like everyone had a great time.
Well, again I hope to have a chance to party with some of you this Thursday night. Above all else…be safe and blessed and enjoy the show...and remember go ahead "Dress like a Gypsy!" ;)

hi! thanks for the compliment. I appreciate that. I do have a bitchspace...www.myspace.com/jazmenflowers and some video on YouTube, just search for Jazmen Flowers. hopefully, once I get some video of this past weekend's show you'll be able to see the 2 shawls I made. I made a black sparkly one that was really not hard at all to make, but I also made a red shawl with gold fringe and sparkly circles that took forever to finish. as for how I amassed my clothing, a lot of it starts with clothes I find at various retailers and then I just put my own Stevie spin on it. like, I found an awesome leotard type top that was a sort of wrap dress at Wal-Mart...yes, Wal-Mart. I took it home, sewd some batwings on it and that has pretty much become my staple outfit. I buy a lot of clothing from dancers' supply stores. and then a lot of it is just made from scratch.
thanks for the link, I'll have to check them out. and btw, you are certainly stunning as well. I love your hair and makeup. take care and have a great time at Stevie's concert.

People say that isn't classy, but I have to beg to differ. This round, I will barely have a dress, let alone secret flask pockets.:(. I have to use my patented (okay, it isn't patented) "make someone else hold my flask" method. And I have to buy a flask....
Kind of like "hey, Paula, can you put this in your purse for me? Can you hold this? Can you jam this in your bag?" Ahhh, the memories of concerts with Amber. :D

 Hey, I was just trying to help you lose weight. By carrying a heavier bag. I'm a giver. Deb has some of the same memories. She graciously put my cig case & lighter in her jeans pocket for me last week at Storm, as, of course, I was wearing a cute dress. :p I didn't make her hold my sweatshirt, though, I checked it. See? Giver.
Oh, and I panicked and bought a 7th row ticket. Well, it's not really panic, they at least need overnight to ship it. Which costs $25, btw. Suck. I could've afforded a closer ticket, but they were only selling those in pairs. Losers. I'm still going to try to win first row tomorrow, though. Sweeeeeet.

Disclaimer: I've been unable to log in for almost all of March and April and some of May, so I have lots of set list thoughts I've wanted to get off my chest this whole time. So don't be afraid to read this really long post.
Am I the only one who doesn't want her to do Tallk To Me? It's not anywhere near one of my favorite songs. And hell, you guys talk about it, like it's some huge rarity. It's technically going by the billboard chart, her biggest non-duet hit. Stand Back only hit #5 while Talk To Me hit #4. Everyone talks about Stevie not taking chances. Well to me, her not doing Talk To Me, Rooms On Fire, Leather and Lace (when DH's not there) If Anyone Falls (on a regular basis) I Can't Wait or Whole Lotta Trouble is awseome. In fact the only solo "hits" she does regularly are Edge of 17, Stand Back and Stop Dragging My Heart Around (and thats only if Waddy's there) so really the famous line here of "well she only caters to casual fans, not diehards." well really she caters to no one, she does Her favorite and for the most part Best songs. Really she caters to herself. Look at her standards:
Outside the Rain has been done on every single tour only ever being dropped for most of TISL and at a recent Vegas show. That song is obscure, but we can mostly agree by far one of her best songs. Sure its on her best sellign album, but its not like Rumours where every album track is a hti without being a single. OTR is not a radio song like GDW The Chain and SHN. I thought it was great on the 2005 tour. Really Dreams is pointless with OTR behind it. The great thing about this song for me is if it's on the new set list I'll be thrilled to get to see it again, but if its dropped I'll still be excited that it makes room for a different song.
Fall From Grace and Sorcerer Granted everyVegas show you guys go to and report that these two songs are done doesnt surprise me now, in fact we all expect these now, back in May 2005 were any of us sure that Stevie would be doing TISL songs after the album less then a smash? I think it's great she'd playing these 2 songs from her last album, and they are by far the 2 best live from that album. Both are in the top 5 best songs she does on tour now. The other songs from TISL she did live don't even come close to coming out as good. So again these songs are the same boat as OTR for me. I think maybe one should be dropped and the other could be switched in at times. But again I'll have no problem with both coming back. I think FFG would be in more danger since its not on Crystal Visions.
Enchanted This is another non hit she clings on to. The great thing about this song is it was never done back in the day, not even on the Wild Heart Tour, she just pulled it out of thin air after naming her box set Enchanted. And then it was cool she kept it for TISL, since that was promoting a new album and she kept this rarity. But this is one of her staples that I feel has run its course. It serves no purpose and NEEDS to be dropped. Again I love that her staples are non hits but really I want you all to answer me on this, has ANYONE ever come home from a Stevie show and said "MAN Enchanted was GREAT tonight it was a real highlight  I've never said that and I've never read that in a Ledgie review. So to me this is the one no brainer. Enchanted needs to be dropped to make room for something new. There is hope, she dropped this song aduring her 2006 Austrailian tour.
I Need To Know and Rock and Roll not on most of the Gold Dust Tour to make room for Rock and Roll although they are sometimes done simultainiously. I was lucky enough to see both in Cleveland, before she made the worst move ever added Landslide back to her solo set. Not her song, I Need To Know, and I know many don't like that, but I say "who cares" it ROCKS so much, she kicks the **** out of it. She did in Cleveland 05 and even moreso with Petty. I'm glad it was back for Vegas 07, but its in the same camp as OTR, I'd love it to stay, but it could be dropped for one of her own and thats great too. RNR on the other hand while it was a great suprise at first, and Im glad shes doing it, but I prefer I Need To KNow and would kind of like her to just move INTK back into the encore spot, but really she fallen in love with this song so much, I dont think it will ever be dropped.
Beauty and the Beast, If Anyone Falls, How Still My Love and HAEWAFY I group these four songs together because I don't want to call them staples really. Flashback to May 05, BATB had not been done in 15 years. So it was a shock that it was done. More then the fact that it was done was Where it was done. It dethroned the song that had been the last song for 20 straight years (except for 91) In fact we need to give Mama props for changing her encore for the first time in a decade. While its great she brought a song out not done in 15 years, I personally would love to see this dropped. And I have great hope since its not on CV. Now the song it replaced HAEWAFY is a song I don't think any of us thought could ever leave, it was as stuck as Edge. But she has proven willing to remove it occasionally from the set, and while I love it a lot more then BATB, I could definatly see it stay gone. Now can someone please explain the signifigance behind How Still My Love and If Anyone Falls (I refure to give into name changing pressure!) being done only in Vegas. I dont't get what about those two songs being done at the same time makes Stevie think "only in Vegas" How Still My Love is in the same boat as OTR as being done on every 80's tour in place of a solo hit just for being an incredible album track. It was done again for SA a few times, and then she gave it to us as a suprise in May of 05, and its been done in every Vegas shows but not anywhere else, other then maybe one show in Arizona but I could be wrong. Now from the bootlegs I've seen, its not been that good recently like I think OTR has been. But I think if it was done on the CV tour it would get better as the tour went on. She needs to do it night after night for her to get good at it again. Now If Anyone Falls gets out a little more then HSML. She actually does it in Vegas, Austailia AND Florida  This ones got to be a shoe in for the CV tour, since it's already a semi regular and now it's on CV twice/ I would bet my lung on it beign done at every show this tour.
The point of this thread was pretty much just to say that Stevie has kind of shook things up. She's been on the same tour from May 2005 until tomorrow. It's been the Tour out of thin air tour. And lets look at what she's done. She's pulled covers out her ass (Circle Dance, Rock and Roll, So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star) kept her two best live TISL tracks, changed her encore for the first time in over a decade and the best thing she did the past 2 years was the Tom Petty tour. Go rewatch the Gainsville footage and tell me thats not the most energetic and best vocally shes been in the longest freaking time. Really I just watched SDMHA from the HBO show in 81 today, and its great but I think the Gainsville version with Petty is better. And who would've thought we'd hear Insider live agian. Granted I don't that version comes close to touching the pack up the plantation version but just that it was done. And really to me more importantly then WHAT she plays is HOW she performs what she plays. And to me her level of energy and vocals have been consistantly really good to great to PHENOMINAL on the Petty Tour (Im shocked she wasnt paid for those either) Definatly way better then SYW which was already WAY better then the TISL tour. Seriously guys I've seen a few TISL performances on YouTube and she's awful. Even Stand Back had no energy and that is at least almost always full of energy. Really watch I think Atlanta September 22, 2001 and compare it any recent performances. Granted I found it EXTREMELY odd that she took the time to completely change her order for the last stint in Vegas without rehearsing a single new song. I find it kind of hilarious and at the same time it makes me want to find her psychiatric help  But still I maintain that it's still the same basic Dreams/Gold Dust/Thin Air tour. My praise for her tonight will be erased tomorrow night if she doesnt add SOMETHING new. Like I said up until now its been the same tour, so I'll excuse her for not adding new songs, but tomorrow starts the Crystal Visions Tour.

^^^ I glazed over what you said. Prolly agreed 50% and disagreed 50%. All I know is, that I am on my way tomorrow, and actually getting very excited.
I think that the anti-ness of several readers over SN's set list is plenty of us go nuts seeing her multiple times @ a show. This go round after the last I was like"I'm done w/ SN." Seen it all before, heard it all before, but the fact of the matter is, each time she comes around, I am a sucker for my NicksFix..pardon the pun. Am I bummed that ticket costs get higher and what I pay for I heard almost verbatum 6 months ago? Yup! Am I a Stevie nerd, than when it comes down to realistics, I am gonna shell potentially $600+ to see her and that's before the merchandise and traveling costs???
Everyone have fun tomorrow onward, and though seems ya'll have your setlist/merch folk, I'll post what I can upon my return <3

I don't think there's a single person here who disagrees with you on this.

Speaking of which - wasn't that the show where La Nicks went ape shiitte during a solo dance in the strobe lights? Does anyone have a video of that they'd like to post?

^ Hey Hawkeye, they just announced Chris Isaak coming to the Salamanca casino in August. Bastard.
Here's my vid from Berkeley of Stevie's crazy DCAHNM tambo dance. It's toward the end of the tune:

Am I the only one who doesn't want her to do Tallk To Me?
YES!
EXCUSE ME!? Nooooooooooo way. BATB is one of my modern highlights. Have you not seen the Vegas O5 version? OMG!
but tomorrow starts the Crystal Visions Tour.
exactley. Crystal Visions being her "Very Best of" including the hits like TALK TO ME, ROOMS ON FIRE, I CAN'T WAIT, IF ANYONE FALLS, WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE! Seriously I think Rooms On Fire might crop up. Possibly Talk To Me on the opening night but i think she'll drop it and If Anyone Falls for deffo. I also think WLT might make an appearance after the CV commentary. I Can't Wait...no. I don't think this will come up at all again altho I'd love to see her open with it.
But she CANNOT drop BATB and HAEWAFY. She has to do one of them. They are her big ballad songs and they break up the set a little. "ligher in the air" moments. LOVE EM!
