I don't see whats so unbearable to watch. Too bad his daughter had to be around when he was like that, but I mean, I've dealt with people far worse than that. In fact I see people far more drunk on You Tube all the time. But like I said, it is too bad his daughter had to be there. Then again, even she doesnt seem too sad about it, more disgusted.

I get the impression that it was completely deliberate on her part  that she knew exactly what she was doing....
btw, Ryan, your siggy reminds me of the final scenes in Ernest, Scared Stupid. (yes, a really BAD Ernest movie, but I love Jim Varney)

i just find it hard to watch anyone in so inebriated & deeply out of it - very sad to me that someone in the prime of his life would behave like that.

it is sad.. but it's something that thousands and thousands of kids go through every day. mom, dad, or both are locked up in the bedroom smoking crack or meth, completely geeked out and isolated. getting drunk, and beating the living hell out of the kid for no reason. at least he isn't an angry, abusive drunk like so many others.
his daughter is 16 years old. she's at a point in her life where seeing her dad like this can make quite an impression on her in that whole, "i don't ever want to be like this" way. i'm not trying to excuse his behavior.. i just know that it's easy to screw up.

Then again, even she doesnt seem too sad about it, more disgusted. It is sad because she is telling her dad he needs to stop drinking or he'll lose his job. It's sad because I can relate to that. But most of all it's sad that these things keep getting in the hands of the media. Has anything been said about how they got this? Don't tell me the daughter sent it in...

From IMDB Celebrity News (http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2007-05-04/)
David Hasselhoff has started humiliating himself on camera - so he can see the monster he becomes when he's drunk. In a new video, obtained by TV show Extra, the intoxicated former Baywatch star can be seen shirtless, trying to focus on a hamburger in a Las Vegas hotel room. And a lawyer representing the actor tells the news show that it was his client's idea to appear in the shameful video - because he wanted to use the footage as an incentive to seek help and quit drinking. In the video, Hasselhoff, who has had several booze-related controversies, is berated by an off-camera family member, who begs him to "stop drinking." The telling video also suggests Hasselhoff's drinking problems threatened his run in hit Las Vegas show The Producers. The concerned family member, who can only be heard, says, "If you get alcohol tonight, you are fired from the show tomorrow and the doctor is coming over here in the morning to check your alcohol level. If you have any alcohol in your system, you are going to be fired from the show." During the video, Hasselhoff is repeatedly asked why he continued to "do this" to himself. Hasselhoff, who is presently locked in a bitter custody battle for his daughters with his ex-wife Pamela Bach, mumbled, "Cause, I'm lonely. I have trouble in my life." In a statement through his attorneys, Hasselhoff says, "I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that, I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work, I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my children, who were concerned for my wellbeing, there was a tape made when I had a relapse to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. I have learned from it, and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my children."

Yes. Then they broadcast it on every news channel like he just discovered the cure for Cancer! That's what I don't understand and find really sad, never mind that his daughter was there to witness it, that's bad enough.... Doesn't anyone take the moral highground anymore:shrug:

isnt it interesting that again the "bitter custody battle" is brought up, almost as if its the reason for the self destructive bahavior? In this case, however, the daughters are older and (presumably) if they express a preference, the court will hopefully take that into account...
The whole thing is sad....But the message David is putting out shows more accountability than the Baldwin spin IMO...
