Hello,
I'm not going to go into detail for obvious reasons, but I was recently at one of Lindsey's shows with a friend of mine and of course we waited around to try and meet him. There was a very strange man around us, who followed us. Like I said, I'm not going into detail. I don't know if this man reads messages on here or not. I don't know if he follows Lindsey on tour or just sticks to the venue that I was at. It was a very scary experience, luckily we did not get hurt. But we came really close. I just don't want some innocent fan that just wants to see Lindsey get taken advantage of. So - this is my warning. Be aware of your surroundings, DO NOT go alone, and take pepperspray. You can never be too safe. Don't get 'caught up' in the thrill of meeting Lindsey (or any rock star) and ignore what's going on around you.
I wish I could have made my first post for other reasons, but I really just don't want anything to happen to anyone. Use your gut feeling. Be safe, but have fun!

can we maybe have a vague description? height? hair color? anything?

What did the guy look like? It's funny because when we saw Linsdey in NJ we saw a tall man whom I joked was "Mick's brother" as his facial hair resembled Mick's. When at the Today show to see Stevie, the same man appeared inside the studio and was outside with the guys packing up the equip.

Yes, please provide more detail or PM me if you are uncomfortable describing his appearance on The Ledge.

my guess is he was security and/or a bodyguard, and you guys were acting weird.

Lindsey did not have official "bodyguards" at the shows I went to. He had his tour manager and a few various crew members who escorted him in and out (that guy Chris) but maybe the guy above was venue security? Venue Security can look a bit intimidating. :D
Thanks for the heads up!

No, he was definitely without a doubt not security. (WE were NOT the ones acting weird, My Little Demon) The way he was acting, and the things he was saying. The more I thought about it, the scarier it got. I really really feel uncomfortable saying anything else because of what happened. I'm sorry. I just want everyone going to be aware. I knew I was going to be asked all kinds of questions. I really do not know what else to tell you without giving myself away. I apologize, but I have to protect myself and the people that were with me. Just please be careful!
I really wish I could share more, because despite that we did have a good time. (Met some of the band). I even snuck a few pictures. I would really like to go see Lindsey again. When he annouces more dates hopefully that will be an option.
Have a nice Easter, everyone!

maybe maybe not. can't you describe the person physically otherwise theres no point in just warning people. cause just a warning doesn't really help anyone without a description.
a fan i know in america said he was waiting after a show and there was this guy acting weird maybe its the same one. he was white but dark hair and kinda biggish but he just said he was acting weird might not be the same guy at all.

If you could offer up a description, that'd be lovely. There were a few creepers at the Pittsburgh show (right Carrie & Marissa?), so maybe it's like.. a male groupie. Actually, the person Fur is describing kind of reminds me of one of them.
I better be careful what I say, though, because said groupie may be a poster here. Oh, internet.

Oh, internet.I hadn't thought about that it might be true but then if they are making people feel threatened or something then it shouldn't really matter if they're someone who reads this board or not. but it might just be that they're a little weird and not really threatening.

Really? How can you be so sure?Well, I'm not. But this has all the markings of it. I mean this person comes in here and says that there's this "Mystery" person that everyone should watch out for yet they provide NO INFORMATION on who this person is or what they look like.

yeah they should provide info but they could be speaking quite seriously and from a womans perspective these are things you have to look out for. for a guy its just a looney man but for a woman it can be quite important to be informed. maybe he's just a weird guy and Im not even in america so I don't need to know but I understand why women would want to know and its innocent until proved guilty but there best to stay away from him altogether so they dont have to find out.

He was about 5'9 in height. Thin. Gray hair that was brushed back. Glasses. Probably in his late 40's, early 50's. Had nothing to be autographed.

Sara, how dare you talk about me that way - you don't even KNOW ME!!!!!!!!!!!>??>>>
Perhaps it was the way you were dressed? Sluttily to meet LB and steal him from his wife? OR, maybe you'd ingested too much coke and were overly paranoid?
Or maybe this was some homeless deranged wookie lookin to do harm.
I'll just take this as a reminder to be more aware of my surroundings, which is never a bad idea.
He was about 5'9 in height.
Ok, that rules out Mick Fleetwood...

What really is the point of posting this "warning"? Without detailed information it's pretty worthless. If some weirdo did something to me I'd be telling it! Silence helps no one.
What did he do? Make lewd comments? Did he flash you? Was he brandishing a weapon? Did he grab your bewbies?
Come on, some people are just weird. Doesn't make them dangerous.

Listen you guys, I merely posted a warning to let people know that they should protect themselves. Especially young women. It's so easy to get caught up in the excitement of meeting your hero that you forget to watch your back. It was just a reminder. I'm not saying this guy would have done something, but he certainly could have. We were about 20 seconds away from finding out. Thank god the car was close and we decided to run. That saved us. I just hate the thought of something happening to someone. I just wanted to spread the word to just be aware of your surroundings (I'm talking to you ladies out there). You always read about frightening things happening to people and think "That'll never happen to me", but it can and it does. Just be careful.
I have never posted on here before, and let me tell you, what a way to welcome someone! Some of you guys seem very nice, but I'm actually surprised at how rude some of you are. I'm not a troll, I'm a true fan that is here for the music. So, on that 'note' I will not post anything more about safety. I'm off my soap box. If I helped at least one person, it will be worth it. That's all my intentions were.
:wavey: I do take your warning seriously. Sorry if my joking offended you, then. But you shouldn't let yourself be chased of a message board that easily, really.

read 'not posting' somewhere, but that was just 'about safety'.
but still, post what you want.

LOL thanks...I'm quite busy with school right now but I will try to post more often. I'm more of a reader, but will post when I find something of interest. Looking forward to Stevie's tour....we will be taking some new little fans (ages 5 and 7) and I can't wait for them to see her. I've been building them on her music since they were babies so I think they are old enough now to appreciate the concert setting a little more. When we go shopping they are starting to pick out clothes that look 'stevie-ish'. I must be doing something right! Hope it's ok that I talk about that here being this is the Lindsey board....
oh no, I definitely have to chastise you for that
teach your kids to dress/act like lindsey, then we're talking ;)

Maybe David thinks she's talking about him, and that made him play the troll card? :P
There's nothing wrong with a little reminder that there are indeed freaks at shows, so I say thanks, highwaywomen. A lot of people forget that when they're at shows. I've been to about 100 shows, and I can guarantee that there was a freak at each one of them. It sucks.

I think highwaywomens' post is a good reminder for everyone! Be aware of your surroundings people..It is so easy to get caught up in the excitement of the moment ,coming from a concert especially, your still on that music high!.Thanks highwaywomen for posting..there are quite a few (women) who do attend these events alone..I see it first hand myself as I work in the business and it amazes me, how trusting a fan can sometimes be...:Please people use common sense.and be careful

Hey BC,
Was that a black guy? My friend and I saw this black guy FIRST thing when we got to that show as we were waiting for the doors to open, and he just went on and on and on....We eventually lost him, but this guy also wasn't there to see the show, but claimed to be a big FM fan. I think he was talking about wanting to get autographs.

he just went on and on and on.... there was a yapper there, yes. I became a little caught up in the post-show enthus and after Lindsey visited with us, I made the mistake of saying to this guy "you didn't see the show?" twice...his voice sounded angry when he said "that's what I said!" so I became a little frightened when his face reddened and the crowd lightened...then a sweetie I know escorted me to my vehicle. Probably wasn't necessary but I felt better about it.
I call them tree people...there will be a light crowd at the end of a show and the second Lindsey shows there are suddenly like 50. Where did they come from?
