Thanks for the heads-up.

I heard her this a.m. around 9:45 on the Mark and Brian show. She called in and from what she said she will be reviving "Talk to Me" as well as doing the classics including Landslide. She spent most of the interview talking about the new CD/DVD Crystal Visions. She sounded great and the shows here in L.A. should be awesome.

Everyone is wondering over on Mick's BB who will (she or Lindsey) get Taku and Brett since both are touring this summer. She kindda answered part of that question by saying she's going to have two keyboard players this time out. Waddy of course is on board and she said rehearsal will start in about two weeks.

Getting excited.

This is for radio station affiliates only to download the shows for broadcast.

Iis anyone here in the radio bussiness or know anybody at a radio station can get a pw for Joe's show, with Stevie ,we will be all set. as I check some of the links, some shows can be downloaded without a pw, all shows are complete with ad's
as like hearing it on the radio, also with DJ Cue sheets.
As I read along , The shows are posted on tuesdays for the station can get it ready for the following weekend.

Thank you! I'm listening now (and cracking up!).

Tip: Don't ff thru the music - they fade in/out in the middle of the songs for more gabbing - I almost missed what she said about Jimi Hendrix in the middle of SDMHA (and LOL).

Excellent advice. I did ff the first time and I did miss that little bit o' Stevie trivia.

Um, Stevie just made the John Lennon story funny. Which is good, cause I'm sick of that story.

"You can't just write verse after verse after verse about a guy that you didn't know. So, you know, the fact was, he got killed and it was a bummer, and I'm a rock star and I don't want somebody to shoot me, so, you know, all of us were a little upset about that. So, after a certain point, the songs you write are about a lot of people."

It's the delivery.

(11:40 - 11:50 ish)

Thanks for posting :)

I was just thinking that things like this are kind of distinguishing the latest round of Stevie for me. I mean, besides the "setlist debacle outrage" factor. Which has been ongoing.

"Crystal Visions" Stevie is funny Stevie. I mean, c'mon, that commentary.
And she was very loose and happy onstage, seemingly on the "edge of giggle" at times.

It ain't a new setlist, but I am still enjoying it very much. In fact, it is delightful for me to get a large dose of Stevie humor. We knew she was funny before, but I don't think all at once in one place. :p It's a suprising, small-but-great shift of Stevie dimension for me. Who doesn't love funny Stevie? It is making me feel a lot of affection for her just as a person.
I love it. I love it.

I love you, Stevie.

"Ta da ta da ta da ta. Tee tee tee da tee taa da ta da taaa."

"Jimi Hendrix said: 'This is for you, babe'. And I went: 'You're so awesome!'"

"I can remember walking out to the car and my assistant saying 'John sent us a demo to Planets' and I'm like, I don't even want to hear it. Because I know it's not going to be good and too many people have tried to do this and I know it's going to suck and I'm going to be even more depressed so I don't want to hear it."

"And I put my top hat and my feathers on and when that hat goes on the whole audience goes 'ooooooh'."

"I take in as much of you guys and your spirit as I can possibly summon into my little girl's body."

Couldn't figure out how to make a link to a previous post so I just copied and pasted the text of my original message below. This is in regards to Stevie's most recent recount of what Jimi said to her from the stage. What are the chances he gave her more than one shout out from the stage? I had to chuckle when she mentioned what she thought of him... Stevah an da jungle fevah!

This is an excerpt from "Hendrix: Setting the Record Straight" by McDermott and Kramer, 1992:

"The following day, the group traveled up the Calif. coast to perform at the Santa Clara Rock Festival. One of the better-organized festivals of 1969, Hendrix and the Experience coasted through their seventy-minute performance, sending, as the San Jose Mercury described, "nearly 20,000 of the king of rock's subjects into stunned delicious rapture." One memorable highlight of the Santa Clara appearance took place before "Foxey Lady" began. Hendrix had often introduced the song with a sly quip, usually dedicating the number to "somebody's girlfriend... we'll find out after the show" or, while pointing to an unknown female fan, to "that girl over there in the yellow underwear." On this day, a gust of wind had lifted the skirt of a pretty folk singer who had completed her set earlier and was now watching Hendrix from the wings of the stage. The opportunity was too good to let pass and Hendrix wryly dedicated "Foxey Lady" to "the girl back there with the yellow underwear." "Yea you" confirmed Hendrix, pointing out a young Stevie Nicks red with embarrassment.

This bit of information was related to the authors by STevie. She is acknowledged in the "thank you" part of the book where all the people who contributed memories are listed. It says she related this story as she was packing to go with Fleetwood Mac on a tour to Australia.

I noticed how Stevie described the Rhiannon movie she has envisions as being a "hobbit movie". I wonder if she means an epic Lord of the Rings type live action film, or if this is an animated thing like "The Hobbit" TV movie from the seventies. I like that Rankin/Bass cartoon hobbit movie. I think that would have been a nice type of format for the untold stories of Rhiannon.

I looked up the San Ysidro Ranch, where Stevie says she and Kim went for their honeymoon. The "guest cottages" are scattered around the property, so it's like having your own building. A fireplace is in each. Apparently John Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier also had their honeymoon there, and Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh had their wedding ceremony there. Here is a picture.
