Great interview - thanks for the link. :wavey:

I love it when Stevie gets so serious about someone doing something without her permission. Thank God the Lindsey Lohan project isn't happening!

You go Girl...Love it how she makes it clear No-one will be doing her life story ,unless they talk to her! and looks like all you Ledgies in Australia and Europe are going to be treated to her coming to your area this year.!
Thanks for the link..I enjoyed this interview..seemed fresh to me.

I wonder if she has communicated with LL about this. She did not exactly slam LL - but, her words about trusting the right person seemed directed at LL and the project as a whole.

isn't it kind of bs what she says in regard to the melbourne symphony orchaestra? wasn't that recording initially intended to be its own entity or am i completely wrong?

thank god they're not making the movie though -- that would have been a trainwreck and a half.

i'm going to go ahead and doubt it. i'm sure lohan had this whole romanticized idea about playing stevie after she got the go ahead to cover edge. i'm guessing stevie and her people caught wind of the article and put the kibosh on the whole thing immediately. i would assume (if it ever happened) the only person her management would have talked to would have been whatever producer had the balls to approach her with the idea and not lohan herself.

Yeah, I was waiting for her to say it, but somehow knew she wouldn't. She wasn't going to admit that the project failed and these two songs is what they managed to salvage.

Do we know for sure that that concert was going to be released? I heard rumors, but I have heard that about many of her shows and, as she said, many if not all of her shows are videotaped because it is so easy to do now. Just curious.

true enough. i'm wondering what the actual reason was -- unless the label felt it was more advantageous for them to release and have her promote crystal visions and the summer tour?

Yeah, I thought Nicksfix posted a blurb saying it was being filmed for a DVD, but I don't recall it specifying that it would be the entire show. Maybe we all read too far into it at the time & assumed it was going to be a full length convert vid. :o

I honestly do not remember. I know rumors about other concerts have happened. Like the Vegas ones and the Red Rocks one (I think) Curtis went to. So, who knows.

I remember there was a short article about some australian company and the shares/stock in this company, which was what the article was about or something like that, and this article also mentioned that this company was the one that was recording the show for a dvd...

But I also knew that after the first fan reports and reviews started to come in that this DVD wasn't going to happen. Nobody saw any cameras except for the ones that were projecting up on the big screens. The lack of cameras gave it away immediately. If they were serious about filming for a dvd you would have seen cameras on cranes... camera men on stage etc. But there wasn't any.

I then thought after she did retakes of the two first tracks that maybe the visuals were filmed earlier without an audience (cause they did have a week of rehearsals or something like that with the orchestra), and that this was just to capture audience reaction. But that wasn't the case either.

I do think that it was intended for a release, the entire show. Otherwise why go through all the trouble of rehearsing for a few weeks, direct an entire show, record it and then even re-record a few songs at the end of the show? There was a little blurb in an Australian mag nog long ago that mentioned that the outcome of the collaboration was not what the MSO had expected, that they had done better things with other artists.

Maybe not video, but they definitely had bigger plans for the audio initially. I haven't heard Edge yet, but Landslide sounds so-so with the MSO, it's nothing that spectacular. If that was the best they could come up with out of that recording, the rest probably didn't sound as spectacular either.

Access(ive) Holly(weird) and no mention of a Stevie segment, so it's not on the show today.

She's on "Extra" today... But I don't know when or what channel this airs on...

Looks like the same interview that's on the access hollywood site.

I thought the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra site actually had posted that they were recording with Stevie for a dvd release. I remember some quotes from the Orchestra director/someone big that indicated they were not too happy with the way the collaboration had turned out and they felt they were under utilized. Either way, the boot of the show shows Stevie's lack of enthusiasm and utter lack of spark. She barely cracks a smile the entire show! It was no surprise to me that she was not happy with the outcome. Edge sounds ok with the MSO but GDW is the one song she should have included. That sounds great with the Orchestra! Needham did a good job on all the live mixes he worked on. Even Stand Back (without the MSO of course) sounds different and quite good.

The opening of GDW especially... If it's any consellation, she's been using the orchestrated opening on the last number of shows - so I'm sure the ones seeing her this year will at least get to hear that!

Stevie was just on Extra, for about a minute. :distress: It was mostly her encouraging Britney to get her **** together but she also mentioned using "botox". Said she cried everyday for four months until the effects wore off. :D Doesn't sound like she enjoyed the botox experience.

Botox makes your face look plastic and immovable, IMO.

I'd rather have an expressive face with wrinkles.

It depends on how much Botox you use and where you use it. I know people who use is in a sane manner and you cannot tell at all and they look great. It does, however, deaden your sensation.

Quick someone get Stevie a movie director she trusts STAT ! winky nod (Does Jon Bon Jovi direct)? (inside joke for people that watched CV).

I wonder if the idea was ever in her head to do something like that, now who knows? If anything so she has control over the project and you don't have a Lindsay Lohan type of thing happening or a director/writer/producer making something that they think happened or their version of what happened and not the truth.

I love how she said she would "Slam it Hard". You don't mess with Stevie Nicks and get away unscathed.

I had no doubt Stevie wouldn't even let Ms Lohan come close to her dogs.

But now that Gondry is working on a kind of original portrait of Debbie Harry (with Kirsten Dunst), a biopic about Stevie is more unlikely to happen, IMO.

I agree...she didn't look like herself...when my mom saw Stevie photos during that time, said, "she doesn't look like herself, what's different?" She still looked gorgeous...but there was something that made her look different......expressionless.......
