Check out the thread in the Stevie Forum titled, "If Anyone Falls, Sorcerer w/Commentary". In the commentary for Sorcerer, Stevie says that she had written the song shortly after she and Lindsey moved to L.A.. She had decided that she was going to take Lindsey and go to the top. Kind of funny how it ended up.

Hey, Lindsey and Stevie were red-hot lovers, I'm sure many times she took him to the top.:p

She was saying that she wanted to get to the top, one way or the other, and decided... despite their relationship problems... she'd rather get there WITH Lindsey, as opposed to without him.
Lindsey has basically said the same... he could have joined Fleetwood Mac without Stevie, but, like Stevie, he also wanted them to find success together.

Are you sure she was talking about coat-tails?
