I LOVE her vocals here. I really wish this was brought back! The audience went nuts for it!

Thanks PriestofNothing!

Oh well - I couldn't care less if the crowd doesn't enjoy it. I would have enjoyed it :D

This should have never been dropped. It had the most potential out of all the new songs on that tour. It seemed to be the most polished on opening night.

Thanks so much for posting this! It was great to see such a rare, one-time performance (Or did she perform it once more?). And it seemed to be well received by the audience. I love the song too. Could it have been cut from the show because the set was too long for them? I wouldn't have been troubled if she dropped one of her well-known songs that she's performed a million times over for the past 25 years and released on a half-dozen times on various compilations.

For me it would be embarassing as a songwriter if all I did was perform the same handful of songs written decades ago...just to placate the casual fan. Talk about stagnation! Play for your real fans Fleetwood Mac!!! Let the casual fans who only know the hits take a pee break if they can't deal with songs they don't know. The best, most enjoyable concerts are the ones that are inspired, with something unexpected, and not just a juke box review of the same old familiar songs.

Each tour is an opportunity for them to redefine themselves, yet they are stuck in the mud, just regurgitating the same thing over and over, like a tightly choerographed Vegas show, with little room for the "spontaneity" that Lindsey so often espouses. I almost wish they never had any chart hits -- it would relieve them of their perceptions of what songs they fell they have to always include in their sets.

Lindsey's ego needed two very long guitar solos.........

Her feet are cemented to the ground - possibly due to hip trouble she allegedly was having. So, the song has little energy. But, she does sound good on it.

This song is my fave from SYW. I remember when we were getting ready to see them the first time, I was like, GOSH I HOPE THEY DO THIS SONG, little did I know that they had done it a couple of nights and had it dropped...... Such a good one.

I love this song too. and I like the new life it got on SYW.

I can only speculate as to why it was dropped, but this song is hard to sing, even for me. getting ready to do it in Boston I was like "why the hell did I pick this?" it's kinda all in a similar note so that when you go for some of the killer notes your voice is like, wtf...we were relaxing. it's a challenge, but I wish they would've stuck with it anyway cause it's killer. I know the Boston folks were shocked and pleased when I did it.

when that drum kicks in...sigh. awesome.

The hardest songs become much easier to sing when you drop the key 2 whole steps.

THAT Was cool. I actually like it better lower, and live. It seems to help give it an edge. Destiny rules was what I was hoping to hear live, so it was nice to at least see the video cause I adore that song. Especially live.

Even though it was dropped down vocally, I love "For the love I had for your life" part much more than on the album. It sounds better. Even though she was in pain, she seems to try moving, even if its in one place.

Still though, the reaction to this was surprising. It seems like everyone dug it.

But, she gets into it during the last part and actually sings a semi-high note - at least comparatively high

OMG!!! That ROCKED!! I've never seen that vid before. Was that the only time they did that song? It sounded so good live...even better than on the record. Those keyboards were awesome and I was surprised at the crowd's reaction at the beginning. They were into it. This is a perfect "on stage" song... all that energy and should NEVER have been dropped!! It so should have taken the place of that tiresome, drawn out "Come". A poor decision, whosever it was :( :(

But at least we have this performance!!

They did it once at the Rehearsal SYW show and then at opening night. Then the next night it got Axed. Which really sucks! I hope they bring it back for the next Fleetwood Mac Tour!

I hope they bring it back, too. That would be awesome!! Have you heard the Rock a Little era demo of that song? It's very cool

Yup. I was there. I just about pissed myself when I heard the opening chords to this. While the vocals were great, she couldn't do it full Stevie justice because she couldn't move. And that thing she's doing with her elbow while holding on to the mic...stop it!

Destiny suffered because out of four guitar players on the stage, no one could bust out a dobro that gives the song it's hook. :distress:

Hahaha, I know shes really moving the boobage area. You can really tell they all liked how it went. Ugh, why couldn't they have dropped Gypsy or Come instead?

Only one whole step. The album version is in Em and this is in Dm, which is the key the demo from the 80's is in, oddly enough.

It has much more power in Em, but this song is still unbelievably killer. Too bad Stevie couldn't move. It's hard to beat the vocal from the album cut. This is still great though- these lyrics rank among the best of Stevie's IMO.

Word. I adore this song, and I think it sounded great here. Her stupid wild left hand is in evidence, though. I swear to god, that bugs me SO MUCH. I can't take it. It drives me to distraction. I'm like "let go of that f*xing ribbon, and quit twirling your hand like you're having a seizure!! "

However, to hear RTTG, I'd live through it. :D
