So, I have extra tix to the Wed. Vegas show. I offered them here first and then put them on Stub Hub for what I paid ($390.00 for two). I can only list them through tomorrow and I've been dropping the price periodically. They are now down to $120.00 each. I've had NO interest. There are quite a few for sale on Stub Hub and still available for all shows at TM. I guess that means that she is not going to be close to a sell out for any of the shows..:(

I think that is kind of sad....

Well, I think part of the problem is there are still good seats popping up on TM..very close and centered seats. Alot of people have caught on to waiting until the close to the show to buy tickets, as they know that good seats are always dropped into the Ticketbastard pool.
No matter what Pollstar says, I will never believe that all the 2005 Vegas shows sold out. I know there were lots of empty seats at the Tuesday and Wed. Vegas shows. I agree it is sad but I never thought Stevie was that good of a "fit" for Vegas. She is a rocker and doesn't do a stage show like Celine or Elton. Many of the high rollers who recieved comps through Caesar's were livid at the Edge Walk. They wanted to sit and watch the show and were very angry that some fans stood up and rocked out. When everyone pushed their way up for Edge....the man in front of me almost had a cow. I think he actually left!:distress:

Dumbass! You want that kind of crap, go across the street and see Toni Laxative Braxton. (she's ok, just likely a sit down nullifying show) As for SN, I hate when high rollers get comp seats, or suits get front seats at a reg. venue. What is that all about? Doesn't their lifestyle get them crap good enough that they don't have to get all peeved when nobody's have their shot?

Anyway....sad that SN isn't selling out? No surprise. However, it's always a full show anytime I see her live, so that's good enough. She is adored and followed show to show, and that counts for something sell out artists can never attain...lifelong admiration. Carrie Underwood or someone new like her might get major sell out shows, but in 10 years? 20, etc? Doubtful (and I'm not putting her down either...just 1st names popping into my head =0p

It's not sad...These are just warm-ups and she probably doesn't care

Plus it's too close to December and she did four shows in 05...she sold out Friday and Saturday in 05....

Same with this past Decemeber; the girls who sat beside me (if you call it sitting.....they didn't arrive until 20 minutes into the show...and frequently left for booze and a cigarette break) were livid when we rushed the stage. They yelled at security during the whole EO17 performance. I think they eventually left. All the guards could say was, "That's how Stevie wants it."

Personally, her show is not a Vegas show. The Edge Walk has no place in Caesars. It just doesn't feel right.

I guess I should rephrase. I don't really care if she sells out. It just seems to me that when $190 tickets are being offered for $120 and nobody bites that it might not even be a full show.

And I hope no stuffy-ass high rollers are sitting in front of, or behind me because I'm gonna be up singing and dancing the whole time!

Mayeb she needs to stop with Vegas and the sheds and start playing more intimate venues of maybe 3,000-5,000 which in most cities she would have no problem filling?

It would seem what with Casino Rama, Turning Stone Mohegan Sun that any shows after the tour with Chris Issac are going to be in those kinds of venues.
Personally I have always had an attitude of you know your a nostalgia act when your playing casino's, but with Stevie it doesn't come off as that, although it does come off as odd that so far all dates are in Casino's and not her ususal arena gigs. But I'd rather see her fill a 5,000 seater then half fill a 10-20,000.

They may be casino gigs but Mohegan, and Casino Rama seem to have nice 5,000 seat venues that dont seem like showroom type casino gigs, which I would find kinda beneath Stevie, even at this point.
I do think her playing Vegas is a let down, I dont think of her as a Vegas act. She's been on the road for so long as an arena act that I'd rather see her "on the move", as she puts it, than playing Vegas gigs.
As I've mentioned before, I do think it's time for her to scale down from the arena/amphitheater scale shows she's been doing for so long. So playing a 5,000 seat venue seems better than doing an extended Vegas thing.
I've resisted flying to Vegas to see these shows for that same reason. The last time Stevie headlined in the Bay area, she did the Concord Pavilion, and drew a pretty large crowd. Of course, last time she didnt also do a Shoreline show, but that was ok. Concord was pretty full and still fairly intimate as far as amphitheater shows go.It's half the size of Shoreline, but it was full, and the scale seemed perfect.

I agree but a Casino is a still a Casino even still these ones are more classier then the ones that say Olivia Newton John is playing. I agree Vegas is a crapshot for her. But I guess Stevie doesn't mind playing it multiple times.

Even if Mohegan Sun is a 10,000 seat arena played by Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and Cher:D
