"Cincinnati- based Procter & Gamble Co. launches a nationwide television advertising campaign today with entertainer Cyndi Lauper for P&G's Tide with Bleach Alternative with ColorClean.

Lauper has recorded the classic, patriotic anthem "America the Beautiful" for the 30-second television campaign. It features images of Americans, centers on the colors red, white and blue and includes behind-the-scenes footage of Lauper recording the song."

i noticed that. and she was definitely going for the "just ****ed" look with her hair. :laugh:

i'm sorry, but.

i love cyndi. i love cyndi's voice. i love her voice in this song.

i do not love her timing of the lyrics, and i do not love the background music. totally out of whack to my ears. if i didn't know the words to the song, i don't think i'd know it was supposed to be america the beautiful.

I know, she times it oddly. I don't really like the background music, either. Then again, I've got the excuse of being Canadian... :D I like the way she does the last line, though. I do like that her voice stands out; usually in commercials, they drown the singer's voice in the music and special effects.

Just the ones people were talking about at CLOnline. Boston, Atlanta and Denver... I think she's hitting those cities a few weeks before the gay pride in... erm... wherever it's being held. :lol:
