Do you drink it? What do you put in it? Do you grind your own beans? What restaurant has your favorite?
I don't like coffee. :D I don't hate it exactly, but I never understand what people are talking about when they say "that's good coffee!" I can't tell if it's good or not. It all tastes the same to me. If I do drink it, I put in way too much sugar & milk.
I drink tea every morning. My faves are Bigelow Vanilla Chai with 1 splenda, or Stash Chai green tea with 2. I always used to add milk to my tea until I read that something in the milk interacts with something in the tea & cancels out cardiac benefits. So screw it.
Michelle - is it true that if you add milk or cream to coffee or tea, you'll have less tooth staining?
If I'm out for coffee with friends, I'll usually get a cappuccino or something else sweet, sugary & bad for me. :o There actually aren't that many Starbucks around here, so I don't really care for it. I have no idea what I want until I look at the board. Same with DD. Now, Tim Hortons, on the other hand, I know what I want - an English Toffee cappuccino. And I recently discovered that it's the same crap you can get from the machine at 7-11 & gas stations - disurbing, yet handy info to have when you're travelling out of town. :D

I work in a coffee house. (Not a Starbucks, although I did do that for a while. No thanks.) I do not like regular brew coffee, but I do enjoy espresso.
We use certified fair trade, single origin coffees, many of which are certified organic. Our house blend was blended to our owner's taste, and the espresso is very, very dark roast. It's syrupy and caramely, not watery and bitter. Most mornings, I use 2 shots, 1 ounce of ghirardelli white chocolate sauce, and 2 small squirts of hazelnut syrup - no-fat steamed milk and no foam. Our coffee is delicious.. roasted just for us and in our store 1 to 2 days later. (Visit http://www.counterculturecoffee.com/ for info about the coffee company we use. They're trying to do good things in the world. I believe beans are also available for sale online.)
I can't drink Starbucks. The problem there is that coffee begins to lose its flavor immediately and very quickly becomes bitter. The moment you begin grinding it, that further speeds up flavor loss, resulting in bitter coffee. And of course, Starbucks doesn't even grind their espresso on-site anymore. They used pre-ground, pre-tamped patties ("pods") in an automatic machine. Many times, those machines overextract the "pod" anyway, so that makes it double bitter. I just cannot drink that stuff. I'm glad they made it popular, but I wish their way was not considered (by customers) to be the industry standard. It's a very, very low standard as far as coffee is concerned, imo.
Start getting good coffee, and start decreasing the amount of syrups and crap in it, and you'll start appreciating the flavor.
Learning to drink alcohol is a process too, right?

I used to manage a coffee house (not Starbucks) and I must say, I do love coffee. Once you become accustomed to goop coffee, it's hard to go back to say, Maxwell House. My favorite blend is probably Sumatra. Now that I'm working somewhere else, I buy the good stuff and we grind it here. We also use a french press instead of a regular percolator. The french press gives it a really rich and deep flavor.

Eh, coffee. It's not that I don't like it, but I don't HAVE TO HAVE it every day. Or like some people who need to have a cup in the morning to even function properly. Nope, not me. I have a Senseo coffee maker, and though it creates a delicious cup of cappuccino when I use the cappuccino pad, I use it maybe two or three times a month. Or when I have people over who insist on drinking coffee (I have regular pads also). I actually prefer tea (melon tea!) but even that I don't drink every day. I stick to water mostly. :p
However, if the Netherlands had a Starbucks I suspect I'd be drinking a lot more coffee.

I do drink coffee. I very much enjoy coffee, though I do have to have cream and sugar in it (fat free half and half and Splenda work great).
I like flavored coffees, my favorite being ones with Caramel/nutty flavors.
I also love espresso drinks. My favorite being a Soy Vanilla 1 latte...yum.

I'm a Folger's gal. One large cup a day is all I need - w/ liquid, flavored, cream added. I usually get reduced fat/sugar ones, but when they've got the seasonal flavors (like pumpkin spice - yum!), I'll splurge.
Starbuck's and Walmart just piss me off. I won't go to either - but every once in awhile, I want a flavored, iced coffee or smoothee. And in that case, I'll hit the Scooter's Coffehouse cuz it's the most convenient.

I drink Whole Foods Hawaiian Blend, whole bean, grind it fresh every morning. I add organic half and half only. I don't usually drink any kind of coffee late in the day. If I do, it's Starbucks.

I used to be a huge caffeine fiend. I'd drink two large cups a day from Tim Horton's, plus one in the morning sometimes. I really went off it after awhile; I actually haven't had a cup in... over a month. I love TH, but I'll drink just about anything. I love Starbucks' caramel machiattos once in awhile.
I tend to not notice the difference between restaurant coffee, but this diner near my place, Russell Williams has *good* coffee.

wow. I've never had this question before, but I will have to do some investigation. I would imagine it would have a slight impact on how fast (or much) it stains your teeth, just because it is diluted. But I wouldn't think the difference would be so huge you would notice it
I love coffee, but I'm the same way. I can't taste it and go.."mmmmm, that's some high class coffee" I can just taste it and tell if the assholes at the gas station haven't changed the filter in 3 days  I put about 4 splendas and 2 creamers-and I prefer french vanilla. I love me some french vanilla cappuccino too. I think the fat free ones taste just as good as the loaded ones, so I get that. A girl I work with got me hooked on coffee every moring, but I tend to only drink it in the winter. I save my dr. p for summer/spring etc. :) with that said, I'm a light weight. i can't do the espressos etc. mocha latte is about as good as it gets with me and starbucks

Coffee really does stimulate the bowel; I believe it is tha caffeine but I can't remember for sure. Cigs make you poo too. But it may not affect people who drink coffee or smoke cigs every day as much as someone who doesn't, since their body kind of gets used to it.
I've heard of hospital patients sneaking cigs in their bathroom & when caught, they practically cry because without their morning smoke, they can't poop. :p
I don't think we can be friends anymore. :D

My soon-to-be-hubby and I grind our own beans in the Braun grinder (best grinder as far as I'm concerned) and I drink it BLACK AND STRONG. Some may say it resembles black sludge it's so strong.
Best beans ever: TRADER JOE'S Bay Blend, it's their San Francisco Blend...get it if you have a Joe's grocery store near you!!!!

I LOVE Gevalia coffee! It is my favorite. Their cinnamon flavored is the best. I also love their traditional roast. I buy the beans, and ground them right before I brew my coffee. Doing that really makes a difference!

I don't really do coffee because I just don't like the taste of the coffee I've had. When I go to Starbucks, I get one of those Toffee Nut Creams or whatever because I can't handle the coffee in the normal ones. But more times than not, my Starbucks trips end in a Caramel Apple Cider. Because Apples = WOO and Caramel = ZOMG WOO. Thus it stands that Caramel + Apples + CIDER?!? = diez ded.
Anyway. There's a little coffeeshop off-campus I went to about a month ago and got what they call a Milky Way, because it was listed with the non-coffee drinks. Surprise, it had coffee in it. But surprise, I didn't want to carve my mouth out. It had just enough cofee in it to notice it was there, but not too much where it overpowered the drink. So I get that when I go there now. <3 MT Cup <3 Milky Way <3

ah, the magic of good espresso.
"forte" roast = syrupy, caramely shots with lots of crema. crema = not bitter yucky coffee taste.
we make a special butterscotch apple cider. no coffee, of course. it's painfully delicious.

Ah, I was going to mention this one. So. Delish. I rarely buy coffee for my house, but during pumpkin time I'm all over it.
Has anyone else noticed either that
A) When you put milk and/or sugar in, it doesn't pep you up very much. Because I have. Or
B) It makes your sweat smell different. For those of you that sweat, that is.
