Every May, Jackie Factory NYC presents Night of a Thousand Stevies, a sprawling, all-night tribute to rock icon Stevie Nicks flush with drag queens and celebrity guests. The celebration was even captured in the feature film Gypsy 83.
(NOTS 17: Edge of Seventeen is set for May 11 at NY’s Maritime Hotel. Tickets are on-sale March 11.)
Borrowing some of the concept, Dreams: A Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks Fan Event, set for Saturday, March 3 at Club Lido in Revere, welcomes two Night of a Thousand Stevies drag stars, Jazmen Flowers and Gypsy Wild.
Also on the bill is "Timeless" Barbara McLuin of Stevie Nicks Tribute band Timeless. All the performers will sing live.
Organizers say the event will celebrate 40 years of Fleetwood Mac as well as the release of Nicks’ upcoming album - Crystal Visions: The Very Best of Stevie Nicks (release date, March 27).
Dreams will feature a 4000 square foot dancefloor dedicated to four decades of Nicks/Mac music. Several large screen monitors will feature music videos and live concert footage throughout the night. The "Shangri-La" lounge will feature leather sofas artfully arranged around a circular bar surrounding a water cascade. The club also boasts state of the art lights and sound.
