Hi everyone. I've been listening to the interviews from when TOSOTM was released and all this talk about Stevie having tons of recordings that never saw the light of day and the songs that made it to the recording sessions but not the album, and that guitar demo of Whole Lotta Trouble, well, does anyone have any of these or know which ones they are? If they've been posted in the "All the Beautiful Unreleased Worlds" thread, just mention them, you don't need to repost. But I've been listening to that CD so much now and would love to hear some of the outtakes.

This one became Doing The Best I Can. I actually really like it. I am 95% certain it was an OSOTM demo.

That's a TISL outtake. Or at least Have No Heart is. I didn't download the file so I don't know if it's mislabeled. :o

And last but not least, I had to post this version of Dial The Number. It's so pretty. It's one of my favorite unreleased Stevie songs. It is different than the last version I posted.

You're thinking of "My Heart". "Have No Heart" is the same tune as DTBIC.

you are right in the respect that both HNH and DTBIC are the same chord progression. at least, that's my suspicion and how I always play it, as no one knows for sure.

Well the version I have is CLEARLY and OSOTM or RAL demo. It has that era voice on it. Vocally, it's a cross between No Spoken Word and DTBIC. Check it out. It is deffo not a TISL demo.

really?
that's odd, because there's only one "Have No Heart" demo that I and about 99.9% of the Stevie fan community have ever heard...and it's definitely a TISL demo. would you mind posting the demo you have?

It's the same exact version from the TISL demos. I played them back to back and along side each other. No difference except that this sounds a bit cleaner.

Its definately a TISL recording. I would say it was recorded in the late 90s

Well I disagree with the lot of you :p. Seriously though it really does sound OSTOM ish to me. It's the same basic tune as DTBIC. Why would Stevie use the same tune again from a song that actually made the album?

As for the chord progression, it is a demo/outtake, and just as Stevie tends to recycle lyrics, she's been known to do the same with chord progressions and sometimes melodies.
