same for me, but I have family in Utica which is right near there, which is the only reason why I am considering this one... my roomates and I are trying to plan a Vegas trip in early June but with Stevie coming to town I think we need to move it!!

The middle of Deliverance! Ugh! I'm probably going to go, but what a nightmarish drive- at least 5 hours! An NYC area carpool may be in order! We should also see if we can negotiate a block of rooms. Since it's a weeknight, I suspect that rooms at the casino will be fairly reasonable.
I think we can pretty much assume that Stevie will be hitting Jones Beach and PNC either the weekend before or after this date. Mohegan Sun may be a stretch, but definitely within the realm of possibility.

I agree, rooms should be cheap. Well, at least we have some time to figure it out, I'm curious to see if she'll come any closer to me.

It looks to be about 4.5, maybe 5 hours. The only thing I can compare this to is when I drove to Killington, Vermont to go skiing. That. was. painful. It's a beautiful drive, but it gets very dull very quickly. But then again, that was back before I had an iPod FM transmitter.

Guess Stevie's gravitating towards the casino circuit. I wonder if she'll be offered to take over Celine's Brand New Day gig at the end of the year (when Celine closes the show).

I think that's very doubtful. I do think Stevie has become more of a shed/casino gal. ~It's just a feeling... :p
And it's not like she has never played casinos before... much of the Gold Dust tour was in casinos.
That being said, since she is obviously straying off the beaten path, I hope she goes to Reading, PA again! Reading is a trashy little town, but the arena is relatively new and very cute. She sold it out on the TISL tour.

at least that would FINALLY get her to play Oklahoma since large Tribal owned casino's are opening here on a daily basis.
Of course I live in a town with a tribe who cant even keep a smokeshop open, so no Casino for this hellhole anytime soon.

That Reading gig for TISL was great. I loved that venue! I had such a good time at that show and security was fab. So I agree, I hope she plays there again this summer. Radio City is too big for her nowadays, IMHO. I know some will get in an uproar about that but I predict more sheds this summer...sheds and crappy casinos.
The idea of her taking over for Celine is cool but never going to happen. She couldn't sell out four days in May, 2005. Even WITH all the bull**** spinning she did about new clothes, new sets, Talk to Me...etc.

There's plenty- Hammerstein Ballroom, The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, The Nokia Theatre, Beacon Theatre, etc. But I do believe strongly that Stevie could easily sell out Radio City. Even though she played around the NYC area extensively a couple of years ago, she has not played a solo show in Manhattan since the Enchanted tour. There are probably lots of people in the city, who don't own cars, that are dying to see her. And it's only 6000 seats, give or take- that's a 3-to-1 ratio of Chelsea boys to seats! :p

There are lots of places but I predict Jones Beach, PNC, and perhaps one other NYC area show. Reading or Hershey are close...about two hours from the City. Jones Beach is a cool place to see a show...a total pain in the ass to drive to, but Stevie always seems to be happy when she is playing there.
I guess Radio City is a possiblity but I would be surprised. I saw her Enchanted show there and it is a gorgeous venue.

Notice the price difference? $159 vs. $80? Vegas sure knows how to rape the 'ol wallet.
I'm guessing that the Stevie/Chris shows will be priced at $100 (at top tier).

Not to be picky... But Billboard, through the show promoter Concerts West/AEG Live, reported that the 4 shows in May 05 WERE sellouts.. Whether a warm body was in every single seat at every single show, that didn't happen... Doesn't happen at most shows... But..

Theres always situations where someone buys a ticket to a concert, but can't go for whatever reason. As long as the money is in Stevies pocket. :)

I checked Greyhound and they say that no bus goes to Verona but you can get to Utica or Albany and it takes 12- 16 hrs. How can a three hour car drive from Canada take that long by bus? It doesn't make sense. I know that they have layovers and such but that seems a little excessive.
