Breast Cancer

As in earlier posts here I mentioned my older sister ,age 56, two years younger then Stevie is, has Breast cancer,Yesterday was a bad day in my life, my mother broke the news about my older sister about her doctors visit earlier that day. The doctor said, she had to get off chemo and take a special pill to keep the pain down, slow down the cancer and make her feel comfortable for now. the doctor gave her 2 to 3 months to live.she's dealed with this for 20 years now ,her trek started with hodgkin's disease,hodgkins lymphoma . I give this doctor all the credit because she kept my sister alive all this time.I n the next few months will be hard for me to get it in my mind , I will be losing her soon.
I will do anything to help her now. I will post any news on this thread soon as I get it.

I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you live close by. You both will cherish the remaining time you have together.

My Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1997. The day before Thanksgiving 2006 she was told she needed to connect with hospice because the doctors had done all they could. She died Christmas eve. But in that month the whole family got together every day and it was like we were all kids again. We sat around watching old movies, eating whatever Mom wanted and making her as happy as we could.
