Lindsey is playing at a bar near(ish) me on March 19 and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trip (2 and a half hours- but I have a place to stay in Asheville). I would have to miss one class on Tuesday morning (the show is on a Monday night- what the hell is up with THAT). On the one hand, I would love to see him in such an intimate venue, but damn- it's a Monday night! What would you do?

I'd go! It's just one class. And yeah, Monday -- can't trust that day. :rolleyes:

I agree. If you have a place to stay and only have to miss one class I'd go for it!!

Couldn't hurt to try. I always bring my cam with me, even if they say they're not allowed... I haven't had anyone pat me down, and for the most part - where I've gone, anyway - if everyone starts snapping pix, there's not much to be done about it. :shrug: Maybe that's just how it is in Canada. :lol:

i would absolutely go. the show is phenomenal. i'm driving to pittsburgh on a wednesday night to see him, and it's totally worth it. go!

You don't know how lucky you are to only have to drive 2.5 hours! I'd go in a second...

i drove from toronto to detroit, saw stevie (or maybe it was FM), drove home after the show (arrival time about 5:30am) and went to work that day. did the same for a show in pennsylvania.

so, hell yeah. you should go! :laugh:

Yeah, that would present no quandry for me at all, unless I had a test in the class.

David, get out! My best friend of 25 years (and fellow FM fanatic) lives in Asheville, so I think she and I will go. We will definitely meet up (We'll PM about it as it gets closer).

The class itself doesn't bother me, I honestly could miss that particular one without any problems. I've never seen Lindsey solo, so I'm going to go for it. :wavey:

You must be cut from a different cloth than me, as this would pose NO QUANDRY for me - I'm glad you made the right decision.

Hell, I skipped a Geology Lab Final my freshman year to attend a show (not LB) - went thru the whole ordeal and had my sister lie for me that we had a 'family emergency' - I really should give her a call and thank her again for that. Good times.

You will not be sorry......

of course, i'm only saying that cuz i'm going and i'm trying to compete with fewer people for the premium spots. ;)
