Im pissed off today

First of all, I noticed that my car's Warrent of Fitness ran out yesterday, and they did not send me a letter to remind me - so Im driving without insurance. Secondly, both my full time staff called in sick - and hour after they were supposed to be here, leaving me to return hundreds of ex-chart CDs, and serve customers and do everything else by myself, and that throws my whole day out of whack

Sorry, I had to vent

OMG!! Michael..I'm not even kidding when I say I've been kicking around starting an "I'm pissed off today" Thread too!

I've been in the most foul of moods today.

Sorry about the insurance and coworkers...that sucks ass. Any penalties for having a gap in insurance..or will it fine if you're not caught?

Why am I pissed off. The broken glasses/no elliptical is one reason.

The other? I was jolted awake way early by my upstairs asshole neighbors who do laundry EVERY day. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. No kids, they're an older married couple, for the life of me I can't figure out why they would need to do laundry EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Why does this bother me? Because they do it between 6-7am and are right above me - I hear the damn washer....

BUT today? They had an unbalanced load, and the washers we have don't stop when that happens, they just raise bloody hell.

I woke up thinking we were being bombed!!! It was awful, and went on and on and on because she put the damn laundry on and left.

Ok..whatever. Then the gym was crowded (which NEVER happens) and someone broke one of the weight machines last night..one I Needed today.

Then I went to get a perscription filled...all their computers were down

I should have stayed home...because I've been one angry bitch all day.

/rant.

.wow. That felt good.

For sure. I worked directory assistance for Verizon and Nextel a few years ago, and I was never treated so badly. Some guy told me to "fukcing die" when I couldn't find some stripper partyline for him, and I got a mouthful from all the drunks trying to call a taxi place.

Retail/customer service is hell. Carrie and Michael, keep your heads up!

I closed the store at 11 pm, as I always do. Shut down the register, shut down the computer and was just about to make our monthly back-up when there is someone banging on the door. Usually I don't open the door anymore after 11, but he wouldn't stop it. So, I open the door and ask him what the heck his problem is. He says it's his birthday and he has a lot of friends at home and he NEEDS to rent a movie. He made it sound like it was of international importance, as if human kind would become extinct due to nuclear bombs if he didn't get a movie. So I go, dude, I already closed everything, the lights are even out, I can't help you. He keeps going on and on and on, until I finally decide to just shut the door. He puts his foot in between. And then he starts screaming at me. He happened to be Turkish, and he was accusing me of not helping him because of that. That pissed me off. But I couldn't close the door because his damn foot was still blocking it. Then his friends get out of the car. I was starting to get really nervous at this point. They started saying the same things he was, and they got louder and louder by the minute. Just as one of his friends started pushing against the door to open it further a guy walked by and saw what was going on and got involved, threatening to call the police if they didn't move away. He already had his cellphone in his hand and I guess that was enough to scare them away. I don't think I want to know what might have happened if he hadn't shown up.

So yeah, we all have bad days at work now and then.

ugh. i'm so over grey's after the last three episodes. seriously? i mean seriously? like they were going to kill off meredith grey. lame. the writers need to be slapped. meredith could have had a wake up call without a very contrived and ridiculous plot involving a ferry accident. the only part that really hit me like a ton of bricks was the very end of the episode when denny's spirit was in time with izzies. gaaah. i died a little.

apparently the **** is hitting the fan on the set (more so than before). an addison spinoff in the works!

apparently the **** is hitting the fan on the set (more so than before). an addison spinoff in the works!oh, but she has a contract that says that if the show is going to be a flop, she'll go straight back to grey's anatomy. sounds like they really have faith in all this. honestly, what would this show be about? she was married for 12 years, probably straight through/after medical school, she doesn't even have an interesting past. beats me.

honestly, meredith is not my favorite character and now that she and mcdreamy are together without any friction it's like, oookay -- what's next writers? and so far the next has been more than a little dissapointing. i'm not saying they should have been all mulder and scully for the next few seasons this show is on but for crying out loud, how many more times can one character examine her relationship with a man?

i like the character of addison a lot but i agree -- i can't see it being about much unless she plans on taking the character of mcsteamy with her and even that will get old after a while.

regardless, i hope the writers come up with something better than what they've been churning out as of late!

i like the character of addison a lot but i agree -- i can't see it being about much unless she plans on taking the character of mcsteamy with her and even that will get old after a while.
please...mcsteamy. now HE annoys the crap out of me. i agree though that there's still something to be done about that relationship, but somehow it interests me less. none of the relationships are really all that interesting (george's the least, ugh) and it irritates me that they all sleep with everyone but the good old days of building up a relationship and truly developing characters (even if it takes years) are gone. people are just not that patient anymore, the world is moving in a much faster pace.

Ya, but I'm bringing it back! :p

I have been pissed all week. I think it's just PMS. What I hate is being at work, talking about future plans, and the same person always asks if I'm taking a man with me. WTF??? Ya know, I was widowed in the worst way, and I'll be the first to admit that nearly 4 years later, I'm not completly over it. What pisses me off is the fact that this person seems to be uncomfortable with my still single status. It's almost a sore spot for me. Not that I need anyone in my life, and I'm not looking. It's just that everyone seems to think I need some man in my life. It has been brought up all week by various people, and actually, it's getting rather old. I hate it when people act like you're diseased or backwards because you choose to remain single. I was married at one point; it ended with his death. I didn't choose to be widowed, but it happened, and I'm still single afterwards. People need to keep their noses in their own business and quit asking me about my sex life or lack of.

Rawr. End rant.

Things that are annoying me at this very moment:

I've been keeping up with this Anglican communique thing, which the Episcopal Presiding Bishop has agreed to, thereby throwing gay and lesbian parishoners to the wolves. I wish I was Episcopalian just so I could resign and tell them to go fukc themselves. I seriously do not understand gay people who are Christians. I've tried to get it, I really have, but I just don't. I mean, I can understand gay people going to a Unity church, or some other type of New Thought denomination, but the mainline denominations are anti-gay, even the ones that call themselves "accepting." Why would you pick a teaching that doesn't fully accept you over one that does? It's their karma (lack of merit), I guess, but it's so maddening. I mean, where are the gay people who stand up and say "We're mad as hell and we're not gonna take this anymore!" Where can I sign up for that group?

i've been wondering about the same thing lately. i was raised christian, but as soon as i realized i was gay, i was like, fukc this ****! it wasn't easy, but i refuse to be surrounded by people who do not fully accept who i am without question. it's one of the reasons i hang out with different people now than when i first came out, and it's one of the reasons i'm looking for a new job.

i don't understand it either.

So far this week there hasn't been one single ****ing day when we've left the office before 9:00 p.m. NOT ONE SINGLE DAY. Which wouldn't bother me except for the fact that I get there at 8:00 a.m. and only get an hour for lunch. So I'm working 12 hour days. LUCKY ME.

And to make things worse, one of my coworkers didn't come in yesterday because her dog bit her on the nose and she went to the doctor. Now, that might seem like a valid excuse, but she got bit ON MONDAY and had Tuesday off. And when another of my coworkers called her to see how she was doing on Tuesday, she answered her cell from Target. She was out ****ing shopping with a friend of hers! And, according to the girl who was shopping with her, the bite doesn't even look bad. Now maybe I'm just being a selfish bitch (wouldn't be a first) but it seems to me that if she can go out shopping, she can get her ass to work!

I get an hourly wage (A whole whopping $9.00, woohoo  ). So yeah, I get overtime after 8 hours, but I'd rather have more time off than more money.

I live at home. I don't drive. I don't even own a car. I don't have a cell phone. I'm not going to school. My only expenses are my pets and my compulsive spending. I don't actually need this job. On the other hand, if I just walked out and quit, my family would probably throw my ass out, so maybe I do need it.

Yay! I feel complete knowing this vital information. Coincidently, if you're ever choking, I'm your go to guy.

I am annoyed by people who use others. I am also annoyed by drivers waiting to turn left, who do not pull up into the intersection while waiting for it to be clear to turn. They sit there with their signal on, all the way back...so the driver behind them (me) ends up missing the green light. PULL THE FRIG UP so the car behind you can make the left too!

skcin
03-02-2007, 02:58 PM
^ Yes! Or when you're at a signal that uses sensors. I don't know how it works, but you can see the lines on the road where your car is supposed to sit which lets the signal know that there is, in fact, a vehicle there that needs to turn. I assume it's the weight of the car. Anyway, everyone & anyone can see these lines - so don't sit 10 feet behind them or you'll NEVER get the F'ing arrow!

YES!!! I HATE that...and become an asshole when a car won't move up to the sensor.

Of course my asshole road behavior got me a kick in the pants. There was this asshole driver going 5 miles under the speed limit, in the left lane of course. So I went around to pass him, there was no one else on the road. He sped up. Fine.

I need to be in that lane because there's a turn - so I got back behind him. He slowed once again. This time I got PISSED. Sped up to pass the sonofa, passed him, he got on MY ass...tried to pass me again...I sped up considereable then he started flashing the cop lights...that's right, it was an unmarked cop car.

I was so pissed. It's a well-known fact around here that the cops are assholes and bored ones at that...big time macho complexes going on...either way he didn't actually pull me over...so there is that. Still I was highly annoyed.

you know what? I'm officially ****ing annoyed.

after 3 days of putting together exhibits to a faciliation brief, going through numerous versions and making changes reflected therein, my boss has the nerve to call me in his office to give me the exhibits back (I had given them to him to review before finalizing.) and proceed to point out any and every possible thing wrong. ok, fine, I can handle that. I like to know when I'm doing wrong, but here's what pissed me off. back story: in-house counsel had suggested some revisions to the facilitation brief, which included some deposition pages. once I read that, I went ahead and pulled the pages exactly as he stated. ok?. so...

the last thing he says is "and I want to give you a little tip...and I don't expect you to read my mind, but I do expect you to read. if you had read the entire page, you'd have noticed that the page ends with a question. the answer is very important and we should include that page. I don't expect you to know what a lawyer knows or make decisions that only a lawyer can, but always include the next page if the first page ends in a question so that we can see the answer."

w.t.f. first off, I actually did do that on a couple of the other pages in-house counsel wanted to include because the quote from the deposition was near the bottom of the page. I didn't do it here because the point they were using was the first 2 lines of the ****ing page and the bottom had nothing to do with it. now, I see his point, don't get me wrong, but jesus. and the smirk on his face. it was like, ha ha, you ****ed up. and the whole thing about not making decisions a lawyer should make? sit and spin you bastard. what a ****ty ass comment to make. I swear, I hate lawyers. I do. I have never seen a career turn people into such assholes and to treat those they work with with such little respect. may be similar to doctors and nurses. the only difference is anyone can be a lawyer honey. don't get it twisted. for every crack whore, there's two lawyers. and half the time, the crack whores are lawyers. believe me, I know.

What a total asshole. It's jags like that who give all lawyers a bad rep. I hate it when people are so self-righteous. I'm a lawyer and I honestly treat my staff with respect. I mean Jesus, I couldn't do my job without them. And I don't expect anyone else to know how I want something done. I totally appreciate my paralegal and everything she does for me. And you are right, anyone can be a lawyer. You don't have to be that smart. Trust me, I've worked with countless dumbass lawyers. If you can act pretty well and are good at feeding someone a line of bull**** and acting like you are the ****, you can be a lawyer without having much brains. I, myself, don't like all of the theatrics, hence, I'm not a trial lawyer. I practice worker's comp defense and my client are insurance companies and employers. It is about the most laid back work you can do as a lawyer, which is why I'm still doing this. I was ready to give it up a few years ago until I got this job. I think I worked with your boss at my old firm. Yeah, not really but someone just like him. I was new out of school and he used to give me all his **** work. Which I understand and expect being just out of school. But when I asked him questions or for advice, he would tell me, "Well, I had to figure it out myself, so figure it out". And then when I did what I thought was right and was telling him how I was going to handle an upcoming hearing, he looked at my like I was the dumbest fukcing person to walk the earth, laughed and said that I was going to lose - in front of all the other lawyers at the firm. Nice.

jesus, jazz, that sucks.
