I swear there are several movies that everyone I know has seen, but I never have  I really don't know why I haven't taken the time to sit down and watch-I just haven't. So here is where we get to display those movies and let everyone reply with "what?! you haven't seen THAT movie" and.."huh?! what's wrong with you?" If there are any on my list that many people actually suggest I see, I may rent them or something. Who knows.
So basically, not only has the ledge been boring, my life has been boring
alright-
I have never seen :
Mary Poppins
The Sound of Music (let's just go ahead and get most musicals out of the way because I can guarantee I haven't seen most of them  )
The Exorcist
Gone With the Wind :o
Pulp Fiction
Any of the Godfathers
Any of the Harry Potters
Sling Blade (I've heard it's good, and I've tried to watch it. Never finished it)
O Brother, Where Art Thou-alright. So I tried to watch this movie too. HATED it. So I started reading or something. Then I decided "ya know...I really should try to pay attention and see what all the fuss is about" and then a cow gets hit by a bus or car or something.
alright. Let's go.

I know I sure as hell wanted to. The only other "popular" movie I've disliked more was Jerry Maguire. Yuck.
Oh and I'm wary or anybody who has never seen Star Wars. :p

Until recently, I had never seen any of the Star Wars movies. So, my boyfriend decided that we should watch them in order, which meant the newer made ones first. I didn't really like any of them and actually decided to stop watching them. So, I never saw the last two, which are Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
And Michelle, you have to watch Pulp Fiction. One of my absolutely favorite movies.

The one that comes to mind for me is Gone With The Wind. Never ever seen it, even part of it.
Someone mentioned Pulp Fiction. Go and get it NOW. It's prob in my top 5 ever. And as for Star Wars, see The Empire Strikes Back. It's better than all five other SW films put together.

Erm...there are tons more but I can't think of them.
WHAT. GREMLINS. Never? I love that movie. I just saw it in the store on Saturday and thought about buying it. Just stay away from the sequel.
There are tons that I haven't seen. For a lot of movies, I've only seen bits and pieces here and there; never the entire thing. I've seen Top Gun plenty of times because it's on TV a lot here, but I don't like it. You're not missing much.
Off the top of my head:
Spiderman
Gladiator
that movie with Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson
any of Lord of Rings series
any of Harry Porter series
a whole bunch more, have to think about it
Dancing with Wolves or whatever
Are we talking the 1992 Gladiator, or the one with Joaquin Phoenix? I've only seen the latter. I could barely get through the first LOTR movie! I'd rather stick my hand in an automatic grater than watch it. And aside from the Alan Rickman factor, I don't really like the HP movies either.
Titanic.
and I plan to keep it that way. I like Kate Winslet, but Leonardo DiCaprio makes me barf.

Gladiator is one of my all time favourite movies. And those of you who haven't se The Shawshank Redemption.... watch it!! Excellent movie.
And I put off watching Forrest Gump for the longest time but I was so glad I did watch it in the end. I love it!
And as for those of you who have never seen Steel Magnolias......

And as for those of you who have never seen Steel Magnolias......SM has actually been in my purse for the last few days. I brought it with me to work to watch it again during those few free hours I have but I haven't gotten around to it.
Oh, and by the way, I've never seen any Star Wars movie either, and I'm PROUD of it. Blegh. Never seen Gladiator (Russel Crowe) in its entirety either, because my sister spoiled the ending for me before I got a chance to watch it. I started watching it a few months ago but didn't get past 45 minutes. Thought it was rather blah. Those big epic movies are not for me usually, though I love Braveheart and Legends of the Fall.
Some of these responses are downright shocking to me. I'm going to make it my mission to get everyone to watch the must-see-movies.

I have watched all the Star Wars movies but I can't say I'm that fussed by them. I'm so glad I didn't see them at the cinema. I think I would have been bored if I had.
I'm trying to think of films that I haven't seen. But until someone mentions one my mind is blank! I do know I've watched tons of great movies!

I'm also shocked at this. Gladiator is a fantastic film. Historically accurate? No. But the acting is superb (with Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix, how could it not be?), the special effects are dazzling, and it really draws you in. I loved it so much in fact that I saw it five times in the theater and have bought it in vhs form, dvd form, extended dvd form, and novel form. (Yes I really am that lame.)
And The Shawshank Redemption. OMG... that movie has me in tears everytime.
Forrest Gump is just pure fun. Pure fun with great music.

alright-
I have never seen :
Mary Poppins
The Sound of Music (let's just go ahead and get most musicals out of the way because I can guarantee I haven't seen most of them  )
The Exorcist
Gone With the Wind :o
Pulp Fiction
Any of the Godfathers
Any of the Harry Potters
Sling Blade (I've heard it's good, and I've tried to watch it. Never finished it)
O Brother, Where Art Thou-alright. So I tried to watch this movie too. HATED it. So I started reading or something. Then I decided "ya know...I really should try to pay attention and see what all the fuss is about" and then a cow gets hit by a bus or car or something.
alright. Let's go.
Same with me but I have seen Pulp Fiction, the first Godfather and half of TSOM. However, I have just recently saw PF and the Godfather within the last 6 months. I think I am going to get netflix again and try to watch some more movies.

To add to my suspected blasphemy, I've also never seen Star Wars :D
Yeah..I' am one of those "Never seen Star Wars" folks. I get some pretty weird looks when I say I have never seen it. My ex BF and my family are huge fans. I am surprised I have never watched it since I am always around them. My ex was going to give me all of the movies but I never got around to getting them. They have been showing them on TV lately so I may catch it there.

5. 8.8 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) ZZZZZZ-Return of the nap time
14. 8.7 The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) Unfortunately yes-The Fellowship of curing insomnia
23. 8.6 The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) Nope-The two naps
Or what my friends and I collectively refer to as "The Lord of the Yawns Trilogy." I'll never understand the popularity of this crap, even though I am from Vacaville the (for some unexplainable reason) home of the annual "Middle Earth Festival."

to ever make me cry. The one scene between "Blondie" and a dying CSA soldier in a burnt out chapel still touches something inside me to make tears appear.
Agreed - this is one of only two films that get me in the back of the throat - the scene you mentioned being one thing, and another was the scene in which the soldiers are forced to sing to mask the sound of Eli Wallach getting the crap beaten out of him by Lee Van Cleef's goon :( "More feeling!" ... Films don't normally move me to that extent, but that one does

about the scene where Tuco is getting pummeled by Angel Eyes goon.
According to Quentin Tarratino, the gunfight ending at the cemetary between Blondie, Tuco & Angel Eyes is the most dramatic scene ever shot in movie history.
Gimme any Sergio Leone movie and I am a happy guy

Ennio Morricone was honored at the Academy Awards (Finally!!!) for his musical contributions to films. The score in "Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo/The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is the best score EVER in movie history.
No movie, repeat NO MOVIE EVER, will have a better score than the one Morricone provided for the finale of the "Man with no name" trilogy.
When I die, at my wake/funeral/whatevah I want Morricone's "Ecstasy of Gold" played at full volume.
