It aggravates me to no end, and I don't understand why people who have no apparent connection to each other do this, but apparently there's something about me that compels people to call me "Marky Mark." They've done it since I was about 11 or 12 and it hasn't gotten any less annoying. People call me "Marcus" a lot, too, and while I'd really just prefer to be called by my actual name, if they call me that instead of "Marky Mark," I can't complain.

Thankfully, I don't let most people know what my middle name is. Years ago, when I told people what it was, they would immediately ask "You mean like the hotel?" Now I'm afraid it would be "You mean like Paris?," and there's simply no way I could take that. Marky Mark is bad enough. I refuse to be mentioned in the same sentence as, well...hopefully you guys have figured it out. :laugh:

I think I'm Gretchen. In German that means ''Little Gretel". But I'm not German at all, almost all Welsh with a little Scot thrown in. The weird thing is random people will call me Bridget for no reason. If combined, I suppose I could be called Gidget. :p
