You know I think I'd have a heart attack if Lindsey suddenly announced a UK date (please God, just one!). Not that he should let that stop him from doing it...

God damn! So tempting. Hawksley, Lindsey and Carrie!
I must give some thought to it.
I made plans to see Lindsey in Chicago last year though and that all fell apart due to crappy circumstances. Hmmm...

Does anyone know much info about the Danforth Music Hall like how far to get there walking from the greyhound Bus Terminal on Bay Street. As well has anyone ever been there ?
Also are there any Ledgies planing to do Montreal? From what I understand the Metropolis is standing room only accept for chairs way in the back. And another thing is that you have to buy the tickets througha company called Ticket Pro. My brother had a heck of a time getting Evanescence tickets through them for a Montreal show last year. :)
This is soo exciting!!!!!

I know!! Our office is set to Q107 (yicky). I was so floored today at work when I heard Lindsey's name from the radio announcer, talking a little about him, then hearing him offer free tickets to actually SEE Lindsey Buckingham live at the music hall... HERE... IN TORONTO! Bloody hell, I could have had a chance to win those if I was able to hear the question I had to answer. Dumbass working world.
But, I've definately got to go to this. I am NOT missing out.

Hey, I heard that too but didn't catch the question either, I think it was the riffer madness thing, identify the guitar riff. I was floored when I heard Kim Mitchell mention Lindsey and the tour! I guess they're promoting it. Anyhoo, I'll be there! Can't wait :blob1:

what do you guys have against Q107. I think they're a great station.
And I think I might be going to Toronto, although I'm still holding out for Buffalo. He's hit every danmed city imagineable, it's not right for him to neglect Buffalo.

I prefer 102.9 with Sunni & Hayes in the morning. :D

Well I live in Buffalo and I don't think we get 102.9, but we get 107.1 clear as day. It's one of 3 great classic rock stations I listen to. Of the 3 it's probably my least favorite now that I think about it. Just for best music, The Lake 107.7 wins for me, but 96.9 97 ROCK has to win overall just for the cool themes they always have and they don't lie with their slogan of having clasic jocks, it's nice to really feal like you know your DJ's. The best think about Q107 for me is how much Neil Young/CSNY/Buffalo Springfield stuff they play because of Neil being Canadian.

The question had to do with the finger picking style, and he named off choices... All of which I couldn't hear. Whomever called in first with the right answer won tickets.
But here's a kick in the pants... Not that I'm not thrilled to know that SOME radio station is promoting this concert, but they aren't playing any of the new solo album. How is that really promoting the tour? Do they really think that by playing old Fleetwood Mac tunes, that the audience is going to want to see Lindsey solo? The announcer sang praises of him, yet, didn't play even a small clip of what an audience at that concert would experience.
What a piss off.

[QUOTE=Hawkeye;650204]what do you guys have against Q107. I think they're a great station.
QUOTE]
Q107 is just like every other radio station out there. They choose specific songs and play the crap out of them over and over again to god's unholy end. Never is there a change or surprise in the mix. Now, I don't mind hearing "The Needle and the Damage Done" everyday. I've missed that song. I don't mind hearing "Break on Through" by the Doors every day, either. I don't mind hearing a few others. But, they don't give you any real variety. Listen for a week, and you'll hear that it's all the same, day in and day out. That's what is wrong with Q107. That is what is wrong with every major radio station, as far as I can hear.
*ummmm... end rant*

I live about 4/12 - 5hrs away. Unfortunately because I am epileptic I can't drive so I have to take the bus. It is too bad no one lives near me in Ottawa that could I hitch a ride with. Nobody from around here that I know if is going to either show. I have a feeling the Motreal show will be poorly attended as there seems to little promotion for the show. The venues own website doesn't even have him listed and when I contacted them this the response I got
All Ticketpro outlets are located in Montreal. If you live outside this city, you can purchase tickets over the phone at 1-866-908-9090 or through the web site www.ticketpro.ca
Tickets for the Lindsey Buckingham show are not on sale yet and the producer didn't confirmed the price. All the information will be indicated on our web site as soon as it goes on sale.
So if it doesn't show up untill the day odf the sale anyone browsing the site beforehand will not even know he is coming.

don't panic yet. the date was just announced. tickets for events/shows in quebec are sold through the admission ticket network: admission.com it's the equivilent of ticketmaster in quebec. i'm sure the show will be listed in the next few days.
seriously, why travel five hours to toronto instead of 1.5 hours to montreal? the bus station in montreal is right near metropolis. quick cab ride.

I don't get 107.1 in that well, but I love The Lake. And I agree about Buffalo, I just don't get it. It would take care of the Buffalo/Rochester/Syracuse markets, not to mention we're so close to NW PA & NE Ohio. Shea's Theater or UB's Center For the Arts would be absolutely perfect for a Lindsey show. ****, I'd even suck it up & go the the Seneca Casino.
Anyway, for $40 I'll have to go for Toronto - if he does schedule a Buffalo date I'll just go to that too. Tix to 3 LB shows will cost me less than 1 of the 5 Mac shows I saw on the SYW tour.
