someone may have deleted the threads they started -
so anything you may have posted in them will be gone

They usually have a cleaning and delete older threads.

Hmmmm... I guess I did lose some posts. I didn't even notice it until I saw this thread, so I must have not lost a bunch.

So when message boards delete threads, it deletes them from your post count? I guess that's just how it works, but it doesn't seem fair, does it? I mean. you did post those posts ..... and you spent the time to post the posts and then they are taken away? Seems so sad and almost tragic!

Again, not to be crabby, but you all get frustrated with me because you think that the number of posts I have really matters to me, and then yall are talking the way you are now? I honestly have no idea how many posts I have........ I just don't understand. Oh well.

Anyway, Yall have a good one.

Oh well.he has a point. you do all act as though he's pathetic for caring about his post count or thread count. just curious why anyone would care if their post count went down.

no one is acting as if he's pathetic for caring about his post count. but people have been getting frustrated with his seemingly posting for no other reason than to bump up his own threads. big difference.

ethan-it has nothing to do with your posts themselves. in all actuality, your posts in regular threads arent bad. Its the threads you start-about the same things, over and over. Its the constant over dramatic crisis that you never want to take advice on. The polls-god the polls. i know they are fun and cute-but every once in awhile you can just open a thread and let it take its own direction. Anyway-im not meaning this in a hurtful way by any means, :distress: im actually trying to help you understand everyone's (including mine) frustration with you. But i imagine you already know and arent going to do anything to change it.but i also imagine you'll get the same ridicule

And here's where I have to take off my tin foil hat and put on that dunce cap looking thing that says moderator. Oh wait, I can wear both of them at the same time. Now if I could just find the camera.
Anyhoo all of the mods have been discussing this and we want you to know that for the time being if you should have any compalints regarding anyone on the board or feel that someone is posting repetitive threads on purpose or just being a post whore, then you'll need to notify the mods, or try to work it out IN A NON-CONFRONTATIONAL WAY with that Ledgie via the pm system. You may also do it directly on the board. Your above post is a fine example of how to handle this correctly Michelle. Worst case scenario, there is the ignore function. However I have seen numerous, too numerous to mention posts and even threads that appear to be dedicated to mocking and deriding certain posters. That is clearly agianst The Ledge rules. I know several of you have been curious as to why certain threads are locked and this is why. Sometimes the mods get tired of sounding like broken reocrds and we'd like you to take the hint. If you don't know exactly what the hint is, ask. I don't bite. But I can't vouch for the others.
So let's lighten up with the youngins and the newbies, otherwise the mods have decided to go bowling with you old timers. Ya know what I'm saying? A gentle reminder here and there isn't going to kill anyone. Now the flip side of that is if we feel the post whoring/thread starting, etc. is getting out of control, then that will certainly be dealt with too. Capice?
Now I'm taking my ugly mod hat off. Is there anyone out ther who could make me one on the level of say, Halston?

Also guys, a good place to ask this question would be in The Ledge Boards forum. I will also ask what's going on with the disappearing posts.
