I've been looking at AOL travel for Vegas in March and there's a really good deal for 4 night+air at Circus Circus. I want tio know, who's stayed there? Is it nice? Details please. Thank you.

Hi David!
I'm new here - my first post. I tried to email you a response because I signed up here a few weeks ago and my account hadn't yet been activated. However, right after I emailed you, it was..
So, Circus-Circus is on the strip but pretty far from the newer properties and the action. I've never actually stayed there but I have been it the casino before. The casino and the whole hotel theme is pretty cheesy. I would imagine the rooms are clean but basic, no frills and very outdated. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, it would probably be ok. But if you are looking for any luxury, I would look elsewhere.
You might try Bally's or Imperial Palace. They are both probably on the same level as C-C, although Bally's is probably a little nicer. But both of these properties are center strip and close to the action, right across the street from Caesar's.
If you have any other Vegas questions, please let me know. I've been quite a few times and love it there. I'll be at the Wednesday show. We're staying at the Palms and got a pretty good rate but it is about a mile off the strip. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal though since we're going to have a rental car for other parts of our trip.
Hope this helps!

hey there -
i have stayed at the circus many times with deals just like the one you are talking about - -
it's a fine place to stay . . . but because of it's theme etc . . . it has alot of family travelers with children . . . so if kids underfoot bug you - it's not the place for you . . .
but rooms are fine and place is clean . . .
and it's a mile or so down the strip from the newer ones but it's easy to get around in vegas so you aren't far from the other action. . .
what we did was hang at the othr casinos at night and we were able to sleep longer than if we would have been in same hotel as our other friends cos they woulda been bangin on our door constantly :D
I've stayed there and I'd totally agree with this.

If you stay there, DO NOT stay in the section they call The Manor. Get them to put you in one of the towers. On a side note, The Steakhouse there is THE best in Las Vegas, (I have eaten at nearly every other one and I find that is by far better than any other.) :wavey:

I thought you were staying at Motel 6.
The Manor section os CC is in the back of the hotel/casino, it's more like a motel - exterior corridors I believe, and it's not attached to the casino itself. Older, a bit more neglected than the main tower.
