Rolling Stone just put out a list of the 100 sexiest songs of all time. Fleetwood Mac made the list. Not surprisingly, the FM songs on the list are Christine songs.;) Songbird & You Make Loving Fun are at 87 & 88 respectively.

I agree with YMLF as sexy but I think Songbird is more romantic.
Good that they were Christine's songs though!

i wouldn't necessarily call 'songbird' sexy. it's weird that it came in higher than YMLF.

I guess only we know that Brown Eyes is her most sexy song....

The actual list is called "The Most Romantic Love Songs Of All Time," which is quite a bit more fitting for those two.
And the fact that this is in the Christine solo forum bugs me for some reason.

Well she did write both songs even if they were on FM albums
Songbird especially really is a Christine "tour de force"

I don't think "Songbird" is really sexy either. "You Make Loving Fun" is sexy though. I think "Brown Eyes" is by far the sexiest song she ever wrote, but it was on Tusk, so not as many people have heard of it, unlike her Rumours songs. Maybe "Songbird" came in so high because it seems like alot of people have been covering it lately.

Yes, that's why I posted it in this forum. And, I mostly post in this forum anyway.;)

I know. I LOVE the song, but, to me, the lyrics are neither romantic nor sexy. To me, they are tragic and forlorn as lost love is. But, to each their own. Personally, I would have put SYLM and Nights in Esterol (sp.?) in there instead of Songbird.

As said before, the list is "romantic songs." RS has called for fans to submit the sexiest songs for the next list...So, we should all submit some Chris songs, eh? Esp. "Brown Eyes."
As intense as Nicks's songs are, I don't think "sexy." I don't think romantic or sexy for Buckingham's.

"Over My Head" and "Brown Eyes" are her sexiest songs, IMO. "Songbird" is so beautiful, though, that its recognition pleases me.

I like the bulk of the choices but I would have not included Chelsea Morning by Joni Mitchell, but instead have chosen Help me I think I'm falling by Joni Mitchell.

Lindsey's songs are usually overtly sexual, I think... Christine's have a more intrinsic sexiness.

Loving your Guffman pic!
If "Brown Eyes" would have been more popular, it would have easily surpassed "Songbird" and "You Make Loving Fun", and most of the others on the list. That song has sexy written all over it. LOVE IT!!!

When I think sexy, I immediately think of "Warm Ways."

This Rolling Stone list is just as ridiculous as all their lists, simply because the "best" or "most" of something is so completely subjective. And how do you define "sexy," or "romantic," anyway? I'll bet we all know it when we see it! Maybe, a "sexy" song has more erotic references than a "romantic" song, which has mainly emotional references. If that's the case I'll vote for "Come Out To Play" for Chris' sexiest song, and "Spare Me a Little" for her most romantic song.
As for which forum this thread should be in, I'm very glad it's in the Chris forum. I don't read the Rumours forum -- it's too busy for me, and of the Rumours line-up I'm only interested in Christine.

Songbird is NOT sexy. They must've been stoned. It's a sad little prayer of a song. Possibly "lovely"...or "romantic" perhaps. Not sexy. Further proof of Rolling Stone's loopyness.
