So anyway, I was going downstairs to take a shower a couple days ago, and as I got to the bottom of the stairs, you know how in those older houses the air vents hang down from the ceiling? Well, as I rounded the corner, in a hurry, never a good thing, I slammed into the side of the air vent full force and it knocked me completely on my ass. Once I got my bearings, my head huet like hell, but then I felt this really warm sensation on the side of my head. Uh-Oh. I put my hand on it, looked at it and it was covered with blood. I applied a towel to it and went to the hospital where the doctor informed me that I had a lovely 2 inch gash on the side of my head! He fixed it up with 4 stitches and I went home. I've been pretty much out of commision for a couple days, but I'm still alive!

Yeah that sucks. Glad you're okay. I feel down the stairs a few weeks ago and had these HUGE bruises. It looked like someone took a couple of whacks at me with a baseball bat.

Must've been scary! I had a 6" x 4" bruise on my back right around my hip. Plus another about the same size on my left triceps. It was pretty crazy!

I HATE stairs...I've never fallen down them - but for some reason have always had an unatural fear of falling down stairs...the worst are the ones with spaces - so you can see behind them...scares the sh*t out of me

So thanks to adding to my unnatural fear....glad you didn't hurt yourself worse!!

I've sprained my ankle twice coming down stairs. Really, really painful.
Ever since then I am probably over cautious about stairs.

I've never hurt myself on stairs and am still overly cautious lol...one of my best friends lives on the third floor of a building with "see-through" stairs as I call them....he laughs at the insane amount of time it takes me to go down those things...and I'm completely weird about - NO ONE can be behind me or a freak out

I also witnessed a really bad stair accident in high school - maybe that's where my fear comes from

That could be it. My cat cut me off. The stairs turn at the bottom and are very narrow on the left side. I usually avoid that side but Mufasa got under my feet. Last week my roommate did the same thing. We have to be careful! Stupid stairs. When I landed I had to lay there for a minute to make sure I was in one piece. It was PAINFUL.

I would do. Hope yer doing fine friend...

I almost punched my hand, head (I've been known to headbutt objects/people out of frustration - Never Deb, I'm sick and pissed but not that perturbed) and cellphone through the kitchen door's glass pane window about one hour ago (On purpose of course...) from the hatred I felt as I talked to my 'former' legal representation in regards to the 'potential' (There's no muthaf**kin' 'potential' to it) case of my Mother's death (Is it just me or does a person have to get down on their knees and kiss someone's ass in this world to get by?)
