You know, this would make the cutest avatar ever if it wasn't for the 50 x 50 pixel limit.

http://i11.tinypic.com/2u4jwuq.jpg You see? Squashed into nothing.

Thanks for those pics. Stevie is so adorable. I LOVE HER!!!!!

[vermicious knid]

Ha! That was my favorite one also. It could be a thread in itself. "Stevie harasses her front row fans!"

I know, right? that is one of my favorite performances of her, that is why i said I must print it. She is having so much "new rock star" fun here. Just reveling in the enjoyment of singing and performing, without all the B.S..
It is Stevie, doing what Stevie loves, before the trappings of fame totally influenced her. I.E., singing with a band live. It is that simple. But there is a purity of spirit and performance here that I think we have rarely seen, even for Stevie. It was a very small window of time where Stevie could perform how she felt like, without having to think of external things, like her huge band, and all the fame, and her image, and blah blah blah. Just Stevie and her voice and her love of collaberation, and her natural exuberant performer spirit.

She was so unfettered and alive, she wore espadrilles instead of boots.
It seems like she took every offer to collaborate at this time. I think the other unbridled joy of singing Stevie, is the Wild Heart Dressing room vid. Perhaps we should have the "unbridled joy Stevie Vid" Thread?

That is one of stevie's unbridled moments as well. coked fueled, but unbrideled.

Of course there should be a thread, but only a few vids would be on it. To me, Cal Jam is way different than WH dressing room unbridled. I guess I didn't express it very well, but to me Cal Jam is very innocent Stevie unbridled. Whereas WH dressing room is very Stevie innocent but on so much coke unbridled.

Agreed. I was thinking of the singing joy, but truly, she has a lightness to her here, that is diff. fro WH dressing room.
Different drugs?
just kidding!

Don't be kidding, different drugs at different times is how to judge some FM performances. I.E., for Cal Jam, Stevie had just started drugs, so everything was fresh and new and cool.

[DavidMn]

The one of her and Bob at Cal Jam is the best!

Where's that strip from? I mean besides Kick Ass World.

it came from a VERY short lived comic strip called "the rock channel" from around '83-'84 or so, most likely trying to coat-tail on the new fad called Mtv. there was another with Stevie in it, I will post it later tonight.

this makes me wonder how come Stevie never presents on any awards shows. I guess maybe because while she's a huge star and celebrity, she's not really a huge star and celebrity...does that make sense?

[ontheEdgeof17]

^I'm sure she's been asked. Maybe too nervous to talk on national tv from a teleprompter? She barely speaks during her shows, let alone an awards show.

[TheWILDheart]

OK...this quote thing looks fun. Here are some that gave me a laugh:
