I just found out, that, unknown to me, my brother, trying to do something nice, bought me something from her for Christmas and it still hasn't arrived despite her charging extra money for postage from him.

I'd have advised against buying from this site had I known, but I'd just like to know if he was ripped off.

Anyone have any clue?

You are exactly right, and I do order my custom jewelery from a jeweler, who, right now, is behind from the Holidays, and there is a delay on my Moons and Pyramids until the beginning of Feb.
I hope she, or her Brother, will write to me, and let me know exactly what the item is, and then I can find out why there is the delay. Custom clothing takes 4-6 weeks, as do some of the jewelry items. Custom made Stevie dolls can take 6 or more weeks, due to custom items having to be created, clothing, shoes, etc.

PICTURES SHE PRINTED OUT ON HER PUTER...LOLOL...sorry i do not trust her at all, she used to have a "stevie club" where you send her 100.00 & she would send you 10 pics & cd's of boots ea month, my friend jean did this & received her items for 3 months & then nothing~ babs has tried over the yrs to get me to send pics in email to her, just about everytime i have won something cool off of ebay, there she is emailing me for a scan & if i fell for it, within a week, she would have it copied & be selling it herself on ebay~ also, when she had her t-shirt business thru ebay, that is when i 1st joined ebay & i won a couple of shirts, it took 16 weeks to receive them, now that is ridiculous!!!~

sorry i know she is loved over on that "other" board, but i would NEVER buy from her again, but if you do please proceed w/ caution, she has burned many!!!~

if there has been a problem, i am positive that barb will do everything to sort it out

i was honored to wear the top hat she made me and the shawl i bought off her for the melbourne concert, which stevie thanked me for wearing! i have always appreciated the extra gifts barb has put in with the purchases

in my opinion i don't think it was bad taste for trackaghost to ask people if they knew anything about this topic . . .

i think if people have concerns about something it is better to ask and get a wide variety of answers and make an informed decision . . .

your story of wonderful experiences with her is just one piece of the entire picture . . . and put togethr with the rest in this thread it would seem that B is pretty upfront and has pleased many if not most people . . . there also seems to be others who have different opinions than you on the topic and so they posted . . . but that doesn't mean they are suffering from bad taste or are being any less truthful than i believe you to be. . . they were relating their experience and Barbara came in and tried to make it right with them . . . .
i guess it just seems to me that the process worked and there is no need to say someone had bad taste for having posted

I dealt with Barbara about 6 months ago, buying a 14k Wild Heart ring for my wedding (about a $300 purchase). She was nothing but nice to me and I received the ring quite quickly, which included extra wait time for it to be custom made. I even had some unexpected financial delays, causing her to have to keep checking back with the jeweler about the current price, and she was very patient. Sorry to hear other people have had problems, but that was my experience. :shrug:

I don't agree this thread is bad taste. If a someone is selling products to fans, then they should be accountable to those fans.

I know Barbara has been in contact to say the goods were dispatched but the only way I know if she's telling the truth or not, since they haven't arrived yet, is by asking other customers of hers, which I did.

This is not just a petty disagreement that should be handled in private, there's money is involved and I think it's reasonable to ask whether the person selling these goods is legitimate and to be trusted. If you think that's bad taste so be it, but I'm glad I'm part of a community where other fans can share their experiences good and bad. I think it's nice that we are able to warn other fans of the many dodgy characters out there wanting to rip people off as well as recommending the honest sellers out there.
