Hello all---
So...is there an opening act on the tour? I'm going to the Houston show, but the website says the show starts at 8 p.m., and there's no mention of a support act.
I managed to get 7th row [I think...it's row G, anyway] center in the section directly in front of the stage, which was a complete shock to me. Except for smaller club shows, I think these are the best seats I've ever had for a concert.
I've never seen Lindsey in concert before, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. As a songwriter/musician, he's always been a big inspiration, but I've just never had the opportunity to see him solo or with FM.
I hope the show is NOT like the SoundStage DVD. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed with the DVD. When I read that it was Lindsey along with a couple of support musicians, I was excited about it, because I figured there would be mostly acoustic arrangements. That's where I made my mistake, because it was a shock to hear all of the programmed/sequenced backing vocals, instrumental parts, etc. I know Lindsey is into technology, but I'd prefer to hear only live voices and instruments coming from three talented performers.
Still, I'm certainly not complaining...! Even if it's the same arrangements as the SoundStage show, I'll be happy just to see and hear him live for the first time.
Regards,
mattl
