Ok, so I heard this little tidbit amongst all the Ford news and here's what I know. A British Airways flight landing at Miami international airport carrying British PM Tony Blair over shot the runway, but no one was hurt and there was only minimal damage on the ground. My #1 question here is:

WHAT THE HELL WAS THE LEADER OF ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL NATIONS ON EARTH DOING ON A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT?

^^

Well, good question. Blair has been criticised for using RAF planes and other offical transport as some kind of personal taxi service for himself and his family... our press are always banging on about things like that. Perhaps the commercial flight was a way to show that he's down with the real folks and pays his own way.. yeah right

I mean, what if terrorists wouldve found out and bombed the plane?

I fly commerical all the time, and I'm pretty famous.

....and they are blowing this story out of proportion. They are changing the runway lights at that airport...the pilot was unable to see some of them and overshot the runway for safety purposes.

I dont think it wouldve even made the news if it hadnt been for him being on the plane.

When I read the headline this morning, I thought they were going to say that he went on a drunken rampage or something.

Really? How odd for news organizations to play on people's fears to sell news.

You're right. Let's keep kicking the airline industry in the balls until no one is allow to fly again, due to the fears of higher officials.
