I first heard about her watching the movie Sleepwalkers from the early 90's. I heard Boadicea during the closing credits and was utterly fascinated! Now I know some of these New Age stars can be very boring and make you wanna fall asleep but I think Enya is much different than that. There's a depth and magicalness to her songs. I'm a huge fan! anyone else?

Yep I love Enya... also ClannadI wholeheartdly agree on Clannad. I'm sure you're aware that Clannad is made up of Enya's sister, brother, and 2 uncles, and that she was a part of the band at one time.

Whenever I hear her song Only Time, I always picture some huge bird flying over water in slow motion. I dunno...

I think she is very talented, but her music has always depressed me.

I used to be a huge fan of Enya. I had a couple of her CD's and I swear, that music got me through my divorce (along with Stevie, of course).

I actually have 1 Enya cd, "Paint the Sky with Stars:The Best of Enya"-Really interesting vocals.

I also recommend Enigma's 1990 release "MCMXC A.D.", which is somewhat similar, but the vocals have a more Gregorian chant style added to the music mix.

David, that song Boadicea is from her CD, the Celts. That was my first exposure to Enya. I have numerous Clannad CD's as well. I dont much care for Enya's newer stuff, I prefer the Celtic-themed music.

More of a Clannad person, I can take Enya in small doses.
Also like her older stuff far better than her new...

Celtic music is the very very best.

I enjoy listening to Enya's music on occasion. My favorite songs are "China Roses" and "Caribbean Blue."

I haven't heard anything new by Enya- all the stuff I listened to was from about 12 years ago. Is it totally different?

If you get the Clannad album Fuaim, Enya sings lead on two tracks. She alsi was in the group for the album Crann Ull, but I can't tell if she is singing lead on anything. Her solo stuff is more sythesized out of necessity I suppose.

I also enjoy Margie Butler's harp albums as well as with her group Golden Bough. Their first album The Boatman's Daughter is a good place to start.

Oops, my favorite soap Emmerdale is on...

Only Time will always remind me of seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time. We could see it as we parked, and Only Time was on the radio. I literally cried. Everything was so beautiful.

Clannad has some unbeileveably good stuff. Some of it of course I cant pronounce because of the Irish language thing, but some I do know are:

Newgrange
In A Lifetime(Duet with Bono)
Blackstairs
Coinleach Glas An Fhomhair(In my opinion theyre best song)
Trathnona Beag Areir
Na Laethe Bhi
Dulaman
The Poison Glen
