This is a tad old, maybe 2 weeks or so, but I just saw it. I think it's cool as hell that the queen plans to go to Jamestown for the 400th anniversary of the settlement in 1608.

I think she's 5th in the list. She's got about 9 years before she catches Victoria - she went on for 62 years, I think

Wow, I bet thats why she hasnt passed the baton to Charles! Hopefully it will never go to him. I'd like to see it go straight to William

Some people would agree with you, but it won't happen of course. Unless Charles dies or decides himself to pass it straight on to William, that is. I suspect the Queen will plod on for a bit longer yet though, quite possibly because she doesn't fully trust Charles. Can't imagine why she wouldn't...

I think Charles gets a bad rap. If people would research his life, they would see the countless chartible things he has done and that he has been influential in the preservation of English history and architecture and bolstering the quality of food in England and elsewhere. For a furture king with no true political power, he has done many many good things and should be lauded for them. Sadly, I think people will always hate him because they think he killed Diana either figuratively or literally.

Thank you! I like Charles and was very impressed with his U.S. trip last year when he stayed in the Bay Area for a few days and visited interesting places like organic farms.

All true. People are very quick to ignore the good he's done, and he always makes sense every time he opens his mouth. I think the Queen might have an idea he's a bit of a lovable screw-up though, which may be accurate in part, at least. She has pretty high standards, I suspect - well if she doesn't, who does?

IM sorry he was all too quick to relinquish his dead wife's legacy. Charles just stinks IMO.

His dead ex-wife's legacy being what, exactly?

I agree. He's a good leader, but he makes a lousy husband. That's usually how it goes with men of power though. Look at FDR, JFK, Clinton, etc.

Charles may have his good points but he sure shafted the MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN and that means the man is a jerk in MY book........

Diana gave a ****, which is more than you can say for Charles, or his parents.
