YAAAYYYY!!! You go girl!!
I finish my internship tomorrow.... and not a moment too soon!
While I did get my ideal internship in a psych hospital, the realities of how those places think and are driven (insurance!) is more depressing than any story a patient told me. I LOVED working with the patients... they were all amazing and all taught me something. But with any corporate environment, the staff stuff made my head want to explode. I can't tell you how many should have been on the "other side of the nurse's station"!
I'm anxious to see what lies ahead for me!
Speaking of.... I'm very interested in volunteering out my counseling skills to non-profits, etc.
Anyone got any ideas?? I'm amazed at the lack of here in Nashville. I know there is more than an abundance of folks needing help (let alone just someone to talk with) but am coming up empty.
Any ideas???

Well done, Jannie!
Meanwhile, my wife is spitting chips. She got 93% for her thesis and a score of 91% overall - the second highest score ever in her school of studies. She would have won the (ca$h dollar$$) prize for top student, except that the highest score ever was scored by someone in her class (95% thesis and 93% overall).
Last year's top student only scored 83%.

Post-Graduate studies in Archeology.
(Most people's eyes glaze over after I say that, but her specialty is the formation of early Ancient Egypt, around 3,500 BC).

You know, as a social worker, I am supposed to volunteer some counseling over my career- I haven't thought that far ahead though. I can ask a professor if you'd like and see what they say. Congratulations on finishing your internship! :blob2:

Congratulations to your wife, as well.
And thanks to everyone else. I am having a huge party Saturday night (wish Ledgies could come- anyone live in North Carolina?). I have invited my entire program (35 people plus spouses/significant others- the RSVP's are up to 60) and professors. Should be quite a bash. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
