I know it is the same dates we all knew about, but something is just so exciting seeing it officially announced on her site, it seems a little bit more real. Am I dreaming here? Wow, I really hope this release has some surprises in it.

It does appear that there is some kind of actual tour in the works beyond the FL shows. I'm picky, but I would have loved some language on the website to that effect. Like "below are confirmed dates, more to follow".

She might need to replace both Brett and Taku if she continues beyond the Florida dates. They will be on tour with Lindsey.:thumbsup: That might be part of the hold up.

That's exactly what I was thinking just now when I read the other thread on why it's taking so long to announce more dates for her... I bet it does hinge on how far Lindsey is going to take his tour.

or a Double Bill, first Lindsey, then Stevie, and then a bonus of both of them on stage at once. Oh, I would faint.

So, I wonder if she is still going to do an Orlando show? I hope so! I guess all the Florida people are spoiled because we aren't waiting around for tour dates. I am just so excited to see her again. It has been a long time!

On Taku's website, the Orlando show is listed as a private show.

Yes... I wouldn't be surprised if Stevie was getting paid serious coin to do a corporate gig. I know for the past couple of years Carly Simon did gigs for Ford Motor company in Florida. Perhaps they are looking for another 60-ish diva to grace the stage. I suspect that the Hollywood and Tampa shows were afterthoughts- they probably helped to justify the cost and expense of getting the band get back together for the corporate gig. Similarly, I suspect that the March Vegas dates are also about getting the band back together, rehearsing, etc. for the HI show.

This makes me less optimistic about a full-fledged spring tour from Stevie. :distress: . Accordingly, I hope this means that she's going to spend the rest of next year relaxing and writing songs for a new FM album in 2008!!
