Guess my answer is hard to put under one click....
I listen to Stevie mostly when I'm listening to FM.... as opposed to intentionally listening to solo stuff.
I do respect her and find her story really very inspiring.
I also appreciate her emphasis on "spirit".
I have met her before and have found her to be very nice and appreciative of her fans.
Overall... Stevie is very cool. :wavey:

I love Stevie, listen to her almost daily and respect her. I am past the phase of wanting to meet her and worshiping the ground she walks on. I still adore her but I'm not nearly as rabid or obsessed as I once was.

Of course! I used to want to as well - but I don't know over the years my desire to has mellowed - but there are plenty of people on this board who want to meet her...
AND I'm not saying that if the opportunity presented itself somehow that I'd say no. But it's just not really something I give a lot of thought to anymore
That and I have this ideal of her in my head, what I think she's like and what I think she'd be life...with my luck I'd catch her on like the worst day of her life and she'd be horrible...and then I'd be crushed....but that's just me :o

I'm never able to do an Ethan poll because he always leaves out my choice. Like I do respect Stevie, and I would love to meet her, but I don't listen to her every day.

Don't listen to her but once a year maybe.
Her voice grates on my nerves.
And even though I became interested in FM in 1978, I have never had the slightest wish to meet her.

I consider myself a huge fan. I don't listen to Stevie everyday, but damn near close to it. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Buckingham Nicks, sometimes The Wild Heart, sometimes TUSK-era Stevie. I've been a fan since '75 so I have everything she's released and have made numerous compilations so I usually listen to those instead of a full CD.
Respect? Sure. She's a strong woman and a survivor.
I've met her twice and she's a sweet lady.
I especially love listening to her interviews. I could sit all day long and listen to her stories. I think she's a funny lady.
What I would want most from Stevie (aside from a new album) is the autobiography she has always talked about writing. I think it would be great.

I chose the "I Live & Breathe Stevie" though that too ebbs and flows. I have been a fan for almost 20 years, I frequently put myself in debt on her behalf. Cause constant strife w/ my spouse...on her behalf. Have made & lost many a friend...on her behalf, etc. As far as meeting her. Well, there isn't just ONE person on the board that wants to meet her. Meeting her is a matter of contempt for me anymore. Sometimes I'm bitter, other times, I'm like who the hell cares. Thankfully, I'm not psycho fan who forgets that she is just a person and gives her her space. HOWEVER, that train of thought is what's made me flub up 2 golden opps TO meet her, so back to the contempt drawing board. And I don't hate SN or think it's HER, it's just I miss the days of people being able to meet their idols w/out all this gd velvet rope ****. So, in answer to the poll, yes, I'm a fan to the 10th power, other times, I think JC, I'm 35, married for 13 years and prolly ought to hang up the shawl and get all domesticated.

The first time I was in the bar at the hotel where Fleetwood Mac was staying during the Tango In The Night tour. My best friend and I were at the bar and Stevie was with about 6 people at a long table a couple of feet away.
We were all the last people there and my best friend and I went up to her table and said hello. I was really nervous but we talked for a while and she was very sweet and funny. I was glad that I was able to actually look her in the eye and tell her what her music meant to me.
The second time I was backstage after a Timespace show with some friends. We were just hanging out when Stevie walked out of her dressing room and our jaws dropped. Stevie was just about to get into her limo and I shouted out, "You sure did sing pretty tonight, honey" and she turned around and walked right up to us. She was very talkative and stayed with us for about five minutes. She looked absolutely gorgeous and I will never forget that evening!
During THE DANCE tour I was staying at the band's hotel and was going to get onto an elevator but she suddenly appeared with her entourage so I stepped aside and held the door open. She smiled at me and said "thank you". I hadn't considered that "a meeting" since we didn't really chat...
