I think I'll open a bottle Syrah and join you....Just found my best friend is moving to the Domican Republic, and I'm quite pissed off...

That's somewhere I would love to visit...but I can understand you feeling pretty pissed off that your friend is moving. My hubby is in Venezuela (mind you when he's here he isn't.. if you get my drift!)

What are the "big" toys over on the other side of the pond? Over here, its the new Tickle Me Elmo, and the Playstation 3, actually today after my Law school Admissions Test, I walked into a Pharmacy and the lady was carrying 3 of them and I bought them all (They were the only three in the store, and my little cousins are gonna freak when they see the new Elmo)!!

Well the big toy that my son wants is the nintendo wii. I have it on order and I'm told I will get one on the 8th Dec. He will be very disappointed if I dont'! Sounds like you were v lucky with the Elmos! Not sure if they are big over here.. I do know we're usually a bit behind you guys. I remember when my daughter was into Blue's Clues and the only way I could get anything was to buy from the US. By the time they brought all the toys out over here she was into something else!

I would just think the usual would happen - you go out, random lame boys hit on you and your friend/s, you have a little fun with it, then go home talking of how lame they were the whole way. Sometimes you meet really cute boys, but then your friend starts acting a fool, so you are forced to be the normal one, and....wait, okay, that's me.
So what happened?
I'm off the sauce, having cocoa spice tea, so I could use a good story of boy lameness. Your loneliness will likely subside when you eat something good, get your blood sugar straightened out. You know, have a hamburger, become one with your couch and your T.V..

It's cool....and yeah you do need Tequilla for Margaritas - but I have a mix that claims to have the liquor in there already..it's like 10 degrees outside though so the thought of drinking something cold makes me want to cry...I'm already freezing...

I used to go to this Goth bar that had an open bar for one hour - so we'd pack in the drinks...get sloshed in that one hour...but holy piss did that take it's toll on my system the last two times....

Anyway...hope you're feeling better now :nod:

I cant handle wine. I can drink hard alcohol but have gotten away from it mostly (unless my main squeeze brings me drinks, which he does fairly often bless him!).....I have pretty much pared it down to light beer. LOTS of light beer. After all, its in the bread group and we must get a certain number of servings of carbs yes?

Wow...a big city boy, huh? :p We never harassed area livestock - but once we did go on a quest for the "holy cows" - the college in my town has a big Ag school - and there are cows there with holes in them so that they can see their digestive tract....

We didn't believe in their existance....then we found them..and sure enough they had windows in them..and to make it all the weirder for a bunch of drunk asses - the cows heads were completely green (probably from having their heads in the feeding trough??)

Again...we were soooo cool :laugh:

:lol: This reminds me that on television and in the movies people are always pouring straight, warm alchohol and then happily drinking it. Like straight, warm vodka, who does that? Eww eww. If anyone here can stomach their booze that way raise your hand. I'm curious! The only time I had it that way is as a teen straight from a stolen bottle. :o

Gin is grossness. Bleh! I loved it, when I was about 19. I had TWO terrible experiences with it. Now, I'd rather drink gasoline than gin!

I "inherited" a 1.75 of Tanqueray a few weeks ago(it was part of a band's "refreshment rider", and they left it). I brought it home, and told my cousin that I was out of vodka that weekend, and that's all I had.
Now, he's a professional drunk, and I didn't think he was EVER gonna finish it.....but he did(and bitched about how nasty gin was, the entire time he was drinking it)!

I LOVE gin...though as I stated before, NOT straight...that's just asking for trouble.

My favorite drink is a good ol Gin and Tonic. Beyond that I enjoy the following drinks w/ Gin: Tom Collins, Gin and Sprite, Sloe Gin Fizz etc...

It's vodka I can't do :distress: Baaaaaad experience there and I can't even smell it without getting sick to this day.

lemon drops are good! so are washington apples. my friend made me try this shot called martian cum ... it turned out to be really good! sour apple schnapps + some kind of liquer ... anyway. sounds gross, but is delicious.

The very few times I have gotten 'blitzed' on alcohol I drank Everclear, Purple-Passion Everclear, Tequila, Jack Daniels (Which is great for strep throat), Russian Vodka, Gin & Crown Royal (Add Coca-Cola to CR and ya have what is called a "Black Tooth Grin")

Deb preferred Tanqueray gin, Wine coolers & beer (Yuck! I hate beer!)

The last time I was blitzed (About 1991) was when Deb's 4 brothers (Typical Oklahoma rednecks-I'm the typical Oklahoma city-kid) invited me to drink with 'em, so I did and amazed 'em by wiping out nearly a 5th of JD myself & finishing off their bottle of Tequila that they were getting ****faced with...Deb says I am a happy drunk, who has a hysterical laugh while worshipping the "porcelain God" (Btw, from all accounts I drank her brothers under the table :thumbsup: )

Since both Deb & myself have medical problems neither of us touch alcohol since it affects the meds we take (Last time I drank an alcoholic drink was trying one of the "Mike's Hard Lemonade's"-Which are good, better than nasty ass wine coolers!)

Well I was just thinking if it's in a tube that goes pretty much straight down there's probably not a whole lot of time to taste the stuff...

I like straight alcohol better than beer and wine, I feel like I can manage the buzz better. I am a fan of the Manhattan, and also Black Russians.

The last time I let myself get super wasted on alcohol, I was visiting a bartender (in his club) who had flirted with me in my bar the night before. He kept making me these super-strong drinks, and all I remember is heading for the bathroom on rubber legs, and then stumbling out onto 11th st and hailing a cab. I believe I had to nearly crawl up the stairs to my apt. I didn't even say goodbye. But that was 15 years ago.
I almost never drink to excess now, the pleasure is not really worth the pain;
however, I *am* heading over to the cabinet now for some holiday cheer. I think I will make a hot toddy.

my lowest point was getting completely blitzed, propositioning a coworker ( :lol: ), getting rejected, and then getting so drunk i couldn't move, only to wake up the next day to find i had left my car windows down, and it had stormed. fab! :laugh:

oh god ... the embarrassment is far worse than getting sick afterward. god, i can barely even bring myself to think about my work xmas party last year, or my boss's wedding last summer ... when my drunk ass spilled red wine all over my his white carpet. :eek: :laugh:

my lowest point was getting completely blitzed, propositioning a coworker ( :lol: ), getting rejected, and then getting so drunk i couldn't move, only to wake up the next day to find i had left my car windows down, and it had stormed. fab! :laugh:

Picture it - a small apartment, the night before Thanksgiving 2001. My best friend and I decide to drink some cheap red wine. So we do - two bottles. Then we decide...HEY! Lets get stoned....so we go to a friend's apartment (across the street) to get a doob.

We smoke it.

The MINUTE it's done I feel like I'm about to die....I have never been so violently ill in my life.....

She just laid on the floor and laughed at the ceiling - her violently ill moments came the following morning.....

The next day - Thanksgiving...I'm at my grandparents...and feeling like HELL...I told my mom it was a bug...so my mom and grandma are all "aww...lie down" etc...my grandpa? He keeps saying stuff like, "Oh quit making a fuss - she's hungover..." :laugh: Gramps knows what's up.

Your...radiance? Does that mean "ability to see"? Why'd you even use the blindfold if you needed your stupid radiance? Don't bag the product just because you used it contrary to your medical condition, or whatever "radiance" is.
