Well as I'm sure some have heard, up here in WA it has been snowing (really only two days but it's NASTY out there). The roads are horrible and school has been cancelled for the 3rd day in a row today. That makes (with the thanksgiving break) 7 full days off! Tomorrow is my b day and so i'm hoping i can finally have one w/out school! the downside is that i would be able to pick up my license but with these conditions theres no chance i'll be driving... Any other west-coasters out there with snow?

But Oklahoma is expecting the first snow of the year this evening, between 3"-12" overnight. The temp on Friday morning will be in the single digits and the windchill below 0 - Pipe busting weather!
The temp as already dropped about 20 degrees (Farenheit) this morning, so winter is on it's way.
Just think, yesterday it was almost 80 degrees

I can't wait for it to hit Illinois, as it's been 60+ for the last five or six days and my office building's heat can't be turned off. It's sweltering to the point of actually making me ill. It's supposed to drop 30 degrees overnight.
LET IT SNOW, BITCHES!(!*@!

We wound up getting 17 inches by the second day. The last two days have had sun but it hasnt melted any of the snow and even I-5 is still really sketchy. Last night it was 14 degrees... Winter is definitely here! It's very strange how quickly the weather can change

I can't believe I was just in Seattle and all they had was wind and rain. I missed the snow. We are expecting sleet/snow/mixed with rain tonight and tomorrow. Expect massive amounts of I-don't-know-how-to-drive-in-this from all North Texans tomorrow and Friday morning.

but isnt that how all Texans drive? No wonder so many of 'em get into wrecks on I-35 coming into OKC - They definitely "don't-know-how-to-drive"

We got pummeled last night - though I'm sure it's way way worse in the mountains..it took me forever to get home last night as there were NO plows out
The roads were still bad today - but I made it to work...and now the sun is out...we got a good foot or more....I LOVE this weather this time of year

We're waiting for it on Friday. But I doubt there will be much accumulation. There's never enough to make me happy!

It snowed here over night, and it is still snowing this morning. Supposed to snow up until late tonight. More snow expected next Wednesday.
It's 24 degrees (F) with North winds at 40MPH, the wind chill is around 8 degrees (F).
Winter time..."Ain't it Fun?"
Edit: Anyone ever encountered "Thunder Snow"? It's weird to hear thunder (And see lightning) as it snows.

Yes, that is strange. It's been a long time since I've experienced it, like since I was a kid. We have lots of rain today. Waiting for flurries tomorrow, but it won't be the 1-3 inches we expected.

Only once, last month during that freak storm. It was kind of scary.

We're in near blizzard conditions as I type this.
Thankfully the electric has yet to be knocked off due to the gail force winds (It took Deb 2 hours to drive 45 miles home from work this morning)

I was looking forward to snow, but now they're saying we're only going to get a dusting. Have fun, Brian. Stay worm and safe.

Geez..at least she got there safely - now will she be able to get home ok??
It's sunny today - but COLD...it's 7 degrees right now..the roads - the main ones are ok - but still a tad icy.
I'm annoyed at all these asshats thinking they can drive normally and speed normally...no...they're causing all sorts of accidents...

to work last night, it hadnt even started to sleet or snow.
But when she left this morning to come home the roads were a complete mess.
We were planning to go shopping tonight, but we'll probably reconsider - it is not pleasant outside at all.

asleep in her 'day bed' (She worked a 12 hour shift last night 7P-7A) and I'm in her in the bedroom under 2 blankets (With clothes on mind you-Minus shoes...Obviously) keeping warm.
Not planning on making it out tonight now, will just contend with the BS tomorrow.

Geez...how cold is it there...and is this the first big cold snap y'all have had this season?
I tell ya - if I didn't have to go out in this weather I wouldn't - but I still can't seem to potty train my dog :p

Right now it is about 20 degrees F, But the windchill makes it at zero or below zero (The wind is blowing between 25-40MPH)...Plus it is still snowing.
This is about the second time it has been cold this month, the worse time for cold weather in OK is typically in January.
