Yo - Catherine O'Hara fans!

[goldustsongbird]

She'll be on Leno tonight to promote For Your Consideration. :D I'm excited, since she rarely appears on these types of shows.

[DrummerDeanna]

:blob: I can't WAIT for this movie....

Parker Posey is on Fresh Air (an NPR program) tonight to talk about it - Harry Shearer was on a bit ago...I'm way excited...

Not KoH but I LOVE this:

:( No..I suck. I always miss those shows.

I did, however, hear Parker Posey on Fresh Air - and that was funny - the clips they played from the movie cracked me up...and today I watched the trailer on line..I'm so going to see it...I can't wait

You do suck! It was hilarious. She actually didn't talk about the movie until they showed the clip. The bulk of the interview was her talking about her kids getting lice up at the cottage. Which, btw, I've seen at a distance... No, I'm not a stalker... lol. It's up in the Muskoka's, and we passed it on a boat tour years ago. But yeah, they did show a small clip from FYC, and it was pretty funny. Need to see it.

[DrummerDeanna]

^^

Lice. Always a crowd pleaser.

Which clip did they show? Did they show the one of her in bed talking to her daughter?

Especially Canadian lice.

No, the one where she found out about the Oscar nom, and asked a guy on the crew to go and look it up on the net and get back to her. I don't think I've seen that particular scene showed anywhere.

Check this out.

^ Love it. She has a hilarious way of doing those falling/outburst scenes.

Have you seen Orange County? That's another favourite of mine. "I had sex with Bob, okay?!"

Finally saw "Waiting for Guffman" tonight.... I borrowed it from the library.
Christopher Guest is genius!
That single season he was on SNL with Billy Crystal and Martin Short is still classic.
Gotta love the Judy Tenuta shirt Corky wore.

It reminded me of one of my all-time fave movies ever.... the Talking Heads' "True Stories".
LOVE. THAT. MOVIE! :wavey:

[sasja]

Anything Christopher Guest is in my top-ten favorite films :D

And I CANNOT WAIT to see this one! :blob2:

Okay, I'm replying to this now because.... Well, why not? Waiting for Guffman is srsly funny. It's not my absolute fave CG movie, though. Like, I'll watch it if it's on, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. I'm sure Corky would call me an assface for that.

Speaking of, my multimedia prof looks vaguely like him, amiright? http://www.expressnews.ualberta.ca/images/format090601b-sinclair.jpg

Haha! I love "Best In Show"!

[skcin]

Best in Show is probably my favorite Guest movie, with A Mighty Wind a close second.

[DavidMn]

A Mighty Wind U true classic:nod:

[goldustsongbird]

I can definitely see the Corky in him

It just dawned on me a few days ago... I always thought he looked sort of like someone, but I couldn't figure out who. Then he came to class one day with one of those beanies - j/k.

Best in Show is probably my favorite Guest movie, with A Mighty Wind a close second.

A Mighty Wind is my numbah one. "You know, this might make good dessert talk..."
