It's all a freak-fest with a line-up of self-important insecure people that were invited more for their "name" than any actual connection to the couple.
That guy ain't right and he has got to be loving having a starry-eyed little girl to lead around and droll out all his scientology stuff on.
She's just as scary in that she plays the part too well.

And OF COURSE you knew he was going to have to out-do Nicole and Keith's wedding!!
This is so incredibly transparent and more of a movie production than having any real sincerity to it. eeeewwwww...... :eek:

PARIS (AFP) - The Church of Scientology provides for several kinds of wedding ceremony for its followers, but according to the most traditional the husband "may promise to provide her (his wife) with "a pan, a comb, perhaps a cat."

US actor Tom Cruise and actress Katie Holmes will provide perhaps the most high-profile Scientologists' wedding to date this weekend.

And according to unconfirmed reports in the Italian media, American Scientology leader David Miscavige will fly in from Los Angeles to preside over the event.

According to the Scientologists' book "The Background, Ministry, Ceremonies and Sermons of the Scientology Religion", there are five versions of the Scientologist wedding ceremony: traditional, informal, single ring, double ring, and concise double ring, all of varying length and formality.

Scientology's "traditional ceremony" includes such advice to the groom as "Now -----, girls need clothes and food and tender happiness and frills, a pan, a comb, perhaps a cat.

"All caprice if you will, but still they need them."

The bride is told: "Hear well, sweet -----, for promise binds. Young men are free and may forget. Remind him that you may have necessities and follies, too."

I saw video of her arriving at the airport and the woman is a walking popsicle stick/bobblehead. Oh my goodness. The girl really needs to eat something. I've seen plenty of pictures of her, of course but seeing her in motion just drove home the point. She's too (unnaturally) thin.

Well, I was in a nostalgic mood yesterday and those shots of that castle were too much for me to resist. That little town is gorgeous. Oh, the colors! I love the yellows and the deep orange colors. Corbis had some shots of the inside of the castle. It's really something. I must visit Italy one day.
Brooke Shields dress was gorgeous! It was a deep maroon/purple velvet, low cut in the front. She looked smashing and so classy. And J. Lo was wearing pink chiffon with elbow length matching gloves and this fabulous little round purse! And she had a white (faux, I hope) fur wrap. Giorgio Armani gave a few details to the press and he said Posh looked as though she was dressed for a day at Longchamps (the Paris racetrack) and when I saw a photo I had to laugh and totally agreed with him. She was wearing this wide brimmed black hat and the black dress was completely forgettable and she was wearing those too high heels. Maybe that's why she walks so funny, becuase she's wearing those all the time?
From what I could see of the few photos of Katie's dress it looked beautiful. there appeared to be a lot of intricate beading and such that the photos really didn't do justice.
I love the whole candles in the windows thing and I wish we could have gotten one picture of the former stable where they were married just so I could see the flower arrangements and how it was decorated. Armani himself did her wedding bouquet. I think it was calla lillies warapped in some greenery. Andrea Bocelli sang. They set off fireworks over the castle after the ceremony was finished. The photos of that were really cool.
Even if the whole thing is a sham, what a way to get married. It looks like everyone had a grand time, they had a hell of a party, everyone was happy so I say good on them. :shrug:

I had to stop watching the news for a little while this week. I watched Combat Hospital or whatever that documentary was on CNN Presents. This and everything else I'm seeing on the evening news is the grittiest and most honest coverage I can remember since 1972. Keith Olbermann (MSNBC) has been blowing my mind with his commentaries lately. Wolff Blitzer (!) has even said things that make me raise an eyebrow. The White House press corps has started to grow a spine in the form of David Gregory. Someone should beat Tony Snow's ass for the way he's treated Helen Thomas.
My point is, and I do have one and I'm getting to it is that this wedding has been a nice little diversion. As you may have guessed (insert sarcasm) I've been against this war from the very beginning. I've watched a lot of coverage. And every day now it's getting much worse what we're seeing on the tv. Can you imagine what they're not showing us? I have hope that things are going to get better with the recent turn of events in Congress. And I think a lot of people need a little diversion and to see a little beauty. It keeps us going and give us hope. :)

It can't be natural. And that herky jerky motion the high heels make her walk in doesn't help. My guess is she doesn't eat or is bulimic or something. It's a shame. She could be an attractive woman if she just put on a few more pounds (or would you call them stone?). It amazes me that people who seemingly have the world at their feet have such issues. I think she must suffer from low self esteem.

He dropped Nicole like a bad habit right at the 10 yr mark... I've never given a flip about the guy before then but that definitely sealed it.
