It is not Cleopatra, for sure. My favorite could be Giant because is a hue production and a beautiful story, or A PLACE IN THE SUN.. a good drama and she appeared BEAUTIFUL. I just saw MATHPOINT and found lot of similarities with APITS but the end is very different.
I didn't like Whose afraid of Virginia Woolf or Suddenly Last Summer that much. Interesting movies but too weird

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is one my favorite movies. She never even came close to being that great, before or after. Of course, she was probably just playing herself.

Got to be Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. I love it when gorgeous women gain weight and are all ragged.

No joke! That movie kinda became disturbing in the sense of asking one's self "they are still just playing characters in a movie.... right??".

"Suddenly Last Summer' a minor Tennesee Williams work, it is full of pathos and Southern Gothic twistedness and one of the first major Hollywood productions with a cast of mega stars to deal with homosexuality.

Definitely Who's Afraid Of Virgina Woolf. Gotta love an insane broad. I also like Cleopatra. It's over the top bull****, but I have a soft spot for it. :o

Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf is such over the top fun! If I recall correctly, she said in an interview on the classic movie channel that WAOVF is also her fave movie that she's done.

The only one I have seen (well, aside from The Flintstones, but I don't think that counts) is Suddenly Last Summer. I thought it was great. Katherine Hepburn was especially good. She plays the aunt trying to force Elizabeth into getting a lobotomy.
I had just been thinking about Elizabeth Taylor yesterday, and how she is one of the very last of the grand old movie stars still living. Aside from her and Lauren Bacall, I don't know who we have left!
It has to be something of a tie between A Place in the Sun and Virginia Woolf. PITS is just a great story, and I adore Montgomery Clift. Has there ever been two more physically perfect people in a film together? And VW is hysterical to me for some reason. She was fantastic in that, as was Burton. I really love him as an actor.
I also like her a lot in Suddenly, Last Summer. Her acting was very convincing...I can't STAND her in Raintree County, though. But that movie generally sucks anyway. :sorry:
