I really don't know what your issue with me is, nor do I really care. But I won't say anything more on this subject, as it really isn't worth my time and effort anyway. Everything will work itself out eventually.. and I'll just leave it at that

You ban him from your board, yet come be bitchy to him here? If you miss him so much just let him come back. Trust, I am considering the sources of these jabs and their maturity levels or rather lack thereof. I am well aware of seven. What's next here, the display of a b-f'd sheep named ethan? Utilize the ignore feature or continue you're shameful displays. I know I won't be reading your words.
Edit: Based on PM, there seems to be some confusion as to who this PM is directed to. This post is in no way directed to sweet nixxxed. In fact I applaud him for stepping up to type something about the treatment of musicman by a few members since he arrived at The Ledge. As mentioned, any annoyment can be curbed by using the ignore feature. As to sheep comment, that is in reference to a picture displayed at seven in signature. If you're desire is to type something negative in response to me here, do not bother typing in a wish for me to view. I won't be. byebye.

I'm not sure what Ethan's history is at Seven Wonders, and I really don't care. As long as he's on the Ledge, then he's not to be hounded or harrassed.
If he breaks any of our rules, then the moderators will handle it.
If anyone finds themselves annoyed by a fellow Ledgie, add them to your "ignore" list and leave it at that.

People bash people all the time. It's okay to do it to some (ie Brown Eyes) but not ok for others? Everyone plays favorites....so get over it.
....and if you don't like it, use the ignore button.

I think the difference is that in this case at least Ethan has done absolutely nothing wrong or inflammatory or anything. He's just post-happy, young and some find him very annoying. But that's really not a call to openly bash him in every thread he posts...
In some other cases I've seen someone comes to this board and immediately starts jabbing where they know it'll hurt and they know it'll start sh*t. This kid isn't really doing that and I think Nikki made a really good point...as did Nixxed.

Brandon/brwneyes, for example, came to this board making offensive statements and buddying up to others who also spouted incendiary opinions. He became a lightning rod for a lot of animosity, but he certainly wasn't an innocent victim and he held his own in all discussions.
Still, you can trust that people were warned not to break the rules when conversing with him, too. And various warnings and a few strikes were issued where necessary. So, again, it wasn't "ok" for people to bash him.
Ethan, from what I've seen, hasn't broken any rules or even fought with anyone here, but folks have laid into him right from the get-go.
Obviously there's some kind of history with the Seven Wonders board, but while he's here, he's subject to our rules & guidelines, no one else's.

I have received a number of PMs with regard to this subject. Do I have time to respond to each of them? No, sorry. I will respond here one more time in layman-terms so an understanding may possibly be developed.
I do not know Ethan. My response below is in no way a reflection of him or his own personal situation.
I have a nephew who was born weighing 1.13 pounds. Due to the circumstances of his birth, he has a mild form of cerebral palsy. He is now 10 years old. He is unable to speak very well but does his very best in developing his skills. He is a little computer wiz though. His favorite band is Fleetwood Mac. He doesn't spell well and his grammatical skills are limited.
I have never directed him to this website (although I know he would really enjoy it) nor seven. One day he may come upon them. Would I want him to interact only to be responded to with the inference that he is a "dipchit?" NO. Would I defend him to the end? YES.
Any child, or adult for that matter, who comes to this board in which I know of no personal information, and even if I did, who mispells words, utilizes grammar incorrectly, posts repeatedly on subjects FM related or otherwise non-offensive, I would not treat them as some have in various threads and, if called for, I would and will also defend.
If I was annoyed, I would place them on ignore. And, if annoyed, I certainly wouldn't open threads they have started knowing what I may find. If one finds enjoyment in ridiculing/mocking others, another would have to wonder what that person lacks...I would assume compassion for starters.
If you can not wrap your head around what I am typing, I feel sorry for you. I will offer no further personal explanations of my actions with regard to this subject.

VERY well said! i feel the same way, we all have the rite 2 b treated with kindness!
As for the subject on the thread. at stevie's gdt show at blossom in cleveland, i started off in boxed seats, lyk row 35, and ended up at the stage. i was extremely lucky the the security guard was extremely kind, but if i were u, i would go up VERY slowly and try 2 blend into the crowd. just my advice.
Cheers!

sneaking up to the stage??? Basically, one would want to have floor seats - not loge or mezz. It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the set-list prior to the show - Edge would be towards the end prior to encore. Generally, you will see people rise from their seats the song prior to Edge and meander towards the stage. You could try to do so at that time or await until Edge begins to make your way down. Security is well aware this will transpire so, unless you are running like a wildman or charging the stage as if you are going to jump upon it, you won't be stopped. Good luck.

Depending on the venue, unless you're in the first few rows it is extremely difficult to get up to the front.

Yes it is - not to mention pretty rude to the people who paid out the ass for floor seats - or seats near the stage.
I have very mixed feelings about this because I was totally screwed over at a Paul McCartney concert by a huge group that came from upper seating - basically pushed us all out of the way and got to the stage. I was PISSED. that is crap - and I'm small -so fighting back is an issue - though I gave it my all and the people finally did retreat...
BUT at the STevie show in Albuquerque I was six row back and the people were really cool about letting me get up front - no pushing, that stuff - so first off - don't ever be an asshole about getting up front - the people gotta be on your side - it makes it tons easier.

It really depends on the show. And where in the row you were sitting. I should mention that when I was 6 rows back - I had an aisle seat - so it was really easy just to head on up front...
If not one in your section is moving - that might get tricky.
But I would say that as long as you aren't a jerk about it - and don't shove, push or kick - then moving up front shouldn't be a huge problem...
Of course there are people here who've been to way more shows than I have - so they'd probably be more helpful.

Having a seat in rows 1-3 is the best way because these are always let up. Know when Edge is coming in the set list and as soon as the song prior is over head up. If you're not at least in the first 10 rows this will be hard since you'll have to get past too many security people. If you don't have seats up front check Ticketmaster obsessively starting about 2 weeks before the show and something will probably come up for you to upgrade.

What I find irritating is that every time this kid posts something, everyone just takes sides and fights over what they think is right. Come on you guys, it's Ethan. Not Elian. Why is a 16 year old boy polarizing the ledge? No wonder so many people are jumping ship...
We should treat him like we treat everybody else. We should ignore his posts unless they're about food, dieting, TV, set list predictions, and/or the Dixie Chicks.

Yeah when we were 8th row at Nashville, we got the ickets right when they went on sale.
Is there any way to stand at the stage for the whole concert? And also are there any "friendlier" cities than others that Stevie goes to in general???

Usually you can't stand at the stage for the whole show. Maybe if you have front row seats they will let you and maybe not, depends on the venue. Sometimes front row seats are right at the stage anyway.
If you get up for Edge you'll be up there 'til the end of the show for the encore which is cool! Some stages are easier to see over than others. Some are too high.
I'm in Boston and generally concert security here are fascist. But you can probably sneak by them when they're distracted if you are focused. I've seen people do it but I never actually have. I think from 8th row you have a decent chance of getting up there if you use your strategery.

It really depends on the venue, Ethan. When I saw FM in Champaign IL, I had 4th row seats, and the security gaurd let us stand at the stage the whole time. I don't think we ever even went to our seats.

What was the venue of that show. I might have to get my family up there if she performs there. WE have no problems about traveling so it shouldn't be a problem. make sure you have a seat in the first five rows! They usually, but not ALWAYS, let the first five rows or so, up for Edge. The people who have front row do not want you standing in front of them, especially when they may have paid quite a bit for broker tickets. So if you want to be smack at the stage, try to get first, second or third row seats. Anything further back than that and you will most likely not be against the stage, but you could still be up there, in front of the stage area. Alot depends on the venue. Some venues are cool, others have security nazis. You have to remember that everyone wants to get up there and shake her hand for Edge, not just you, so sometimes it is every man for himself. If you buy tickets in the first couple of rows, you shouldn't have a problem. If you have tickets in say the 10th row, you may not or may not get all the way up there. Personally, if I luck out and score front row, especially if I pay big bucks for broker seats, I don't want people from way back to stand in front of me! (they are more than welcome to stand behind me~)

I don't get the seats on front of the stage in the first place...why do you wanne be seated at a rock-concert. At a classical perfomance or a Tori Amos-concert, I can imagine that you want to be seated, but at a rock-concert like Stevie or the Mac, you want to be dancing, singing, jumping around and a seat is just not suitable for that. Not to mention the people behind you who will complain that they have paid a lot of money too for those seats...
Overhere in Holland (probably the whole of Europe) most of the rock-concerts are held in stadiums, arena's and clubs and do have NO seats in front of the stage, just general admission, so you have to be early to get a nice spot.
In my opinion, seats at a rockconcert are just the cashcows for the promotor and venue-owners.
But on the other hand, if they are fixed to the floor at the venues where she is performing you cannot do a thing about it...
